Burnz, their are some folks on this site that start counting flower days the first day they see signs of flower, kind of like the Pre Flower comments. So you will see pictures with rather large colas at say day 24 or 26. But it really is like day 36 or 38.

I have to stick to pretty tight schedules so everything comes down at 63 days so the next can veg for about a week and go into flower.

Just wondering why are you guys so focused on the flowering days and the number? That doesn’t really determine anything doesn’t it? Except when you can start looking at the trichomes through a microscope really?

I didn’t care what day I was on in flower. The trichomes determined when to chop. Not the calendar. The calendar only told me when to start looking closely at the trichs though.

Yes super nice copy of the Fluence Synder series. And about 1/3 the cost. Please do a grow journal on them and let us know how they perform

Do you think the fluence light provides 3x the quality, yield, and cost of return? Or are we basically paying 300% of the price for a 10-20% gain at that point??? (And to put someone’s kids through college and buy that new Range Rover) with these $2000-4000 lights

You are 100 percent correct for a hobby grower. Flower times and schedules would matter if you were in a for profit situation. Meaning the longer it takes for the plants to finish the higher the cost to produce and the longer the next grow has to wait to enter flower. Some folks get 6 1/2 turns per year out of a flower room

I can only assume you are asking if I believe the Fluence lights provides 3x the quality, yield and cost of return because you are seeing this as the upfront cost of ownership. I believe you have to take into account the total experience with the product to foresee the overall return on investment.
So my first question to you would be an experience I had with said company Mars Hydro. A TS1000 went out and while they did provide a warranty the product took 3 weeks to get to the US from China. Mind you this was per flu days. So what was the cost of throwing that grow away and starting over? Next another TS1000 went just days after I received the new driver. It went on the latest light to fail so I could continue the grow.
Considering my experience with Mars Hydro, in order for me to realistically consider purchasing their new light I would

Considering my experience with Mars Hydro, in order for me to realistically consider purchasing their new light I would have to purchase a spare light or two to have around. Also I used the information in the previous post for cost. The 6500 is actually like for like with a spyder 2I so the cost difference is more like 2 times.
Other all, I need a product that continues to work day after day and without issues. I have had just too many of the bargain lights fail to consider just the cost . I have to consider the overall cost associated with replacement and time to get replacements. My time is work somthing.

Considering my experience with Mars Hydro, in order for me to realistically consider purchasing their new light I would also have to purchase spares. Additionally, I used the cost listed in the previous post to consider 1/3 the cost of Fluence. Actually I reviewed the Mars Website a minute ago and the 6500 is on par with the Fluence Sypder 2I. So the cost difference is less that half. Further, I believe you have to consider the cost of dealing with warranties and repairs into over all cost of the product. Lastly, I just need a product that works day in and day out. I do not have time to find a light is off when it should be on.

what do you guys think I should do for the side lighting for the luxx? I’m going to assume even though it says 5x5 for flowering that it’s going to be more like 4x4 (for flower), so I need Atleast 2 more lights for each side that have a 2x4 Flower footprint.. I was looking at HLGs 100w light bars but I would need x4 @around $250 a piece and that puts me back to the amount it would be for another luxx Lol.. maybe some 240w QBs? Maybe something with lm301h strips? What do you guys think?
