What temp are they ,mine like it pretty warm to open.

Have you used the cannakan on more fresher seeds. I started a different job and now work 6 days a week. I need a method of popping seeds that doesn't require me checking the moisture level of paper towels every few hours.
This is my first trial with it. I will give these things another day or two after I clip them. Next round I will try scarification and sanding the ridge, per @Mikedin ‘s suggestion.
I will continue to update this post until I have successfully germinated some of these old brick weed seeds, but if I don’t get anything viable after scarification and ridge sanding, then I’ll be dropping some new seeds that are viable. Stay tuned.

That’s the thing about old and Landrace! You don’t even know if they are viable to begin with! It takes a ton of patience and a lot of faith! You really have to get outside of the box on some of them! But if you can nurture one female out of the whole lot you will be stoked AF!🍻

Tell that to my girlfriend 🤣

And if you have a mind to check out the way, Jeff does it! Nothing really complicated about it! But he uses a lot more paper! And he kills it! So don’t throw them away! Diaper them up and throw them back on the mat! Got nothing to lose! Plus, it’s an entertaining series! So far it has worked for me! Just two cents!😆

This guys awesome, I saw the video recently where he says that they’re going to be doing farm tours with stuff for sale and on site consumption. I looked at plane tickets that night.😝, I have a cousin who said they would go with me if I went. It’d be a cool trip if I can convince myself to take the time off from work.

Since he did that one, he has started a complete series on how he does it! He just seems like a mellow dude! And doesn’t do anything complicated! I subscribed to it in a heartbeat! I think Nick turned me onto it! It will be a while before he gets that Farm tour stuff up and running! God, that would be a hell of a weekend!😆😍

It’d be crazy to do a thc farmer meet up at this dudes place 🤣 but not too crazy 🤔😉

Peat plugs is what I use because I hate baby sitting seedlings. 🌱

How about 12 hrs could you handle that.i use a clean glass juice size small 1/2 full .i have a desk lamp that bends down ,i push it down on top the glass .small gap around for fresh air.keep your fingers out of the water .just swirl it around ,if they float the first day ,usually good seed ,i take a spoon and push them down they will quit floating.usually the 3to 5 days they open. HEY IT WORKS FOR ME. !

They soaked for 24 hours in a water and hydrogen peroxide solution before I drained most of water out and resealed. Im following the instructions per CannaKan and doing what they recommended. After that I will start to improvise with other methods.

I googled them. So you just throw the seed in them and water? What's the success %

Not knocking it. Sounds like the soak method.

I’ve done it that way basically! Just threw them in a solo, distilled water, sankthem after a while, cover the solo and put in a warm place! With modern seeds they would usually pop! The only caveat was I wanted to be around to check on them instead of letting them sit popped in the water for 12 hours! Back when I was working! I didn’t feel good about not keeping kind of an eye on them!

Success rate? No idea. I’ve used them for as long as I can remember and I’ve only lost under 10 beans. Ever. So pretty good I think at least.
