Rapid Rooters should work, but right now I'm really liking a mix of coco (pre-charged) with perlite and worm castings. I personally have always put water in the bottom of the trays. I'd nix the Superthrive (never really seen that it does much of anything except smell funky). I have completely moved away from using domes or spritzing the leaves as well.I've been trying to move to purely cloning instead of flowering lately because it makes the most money per square foot for my room. I have 16 mothers of 7 different strains and the clubs need orders filled. Problem is my clones are only at like a 33% success rate. i JUST made this room a couple days ago so some of the old clones might have been from problems with my old room. My room has one single 400 w light in it at about 7 feet. I have the standard 76 tray + dome lid set up, along with a rooting mat (thats what its designed for) but it hasnt been working for me.
My Main Problems:
1) Plants wilt like normal, but seem to break right in the rapid rooters and never grow back
2) some of the clones just disintigrate. i have no idea why. the just get light green, fall over and when you tought the stock it just falls apart like mush. (around day 5)
3) of the clones that DO live they have been super light green and yellow at leave edges
4) our rapid rooters are moist on top but bone dry on bottom
our Cloning method:
Day 1: cut at 90 degree angle dip in cloned, put in rapid rooter
Days 2-6: Spray 3X daily with water with 2 drops of "superthrive" + a little "Verde" from the humbolt nutes line. keeping the ventsd closed and getting indirect light
Days 7-rooted: Spray 3X daily with water with 2 drops of "superthrive" + a little "Verde" from the humbolt nutes line. keeping the vents open and getting semi-direct light
The ones that survive are great and get pumpin...
we DONT put any water in the bottom of the trays below the clones, maybe thats an issue? and the temp does get a little high sometimes
thanks for the help guys!!! ill check back when i get off work
And YOUR the clone supllier!!!! i feel bad foir them patients and coops
I second this.

I find rockwool to be a true Pain ! It is not really possible to go into soil from rockwool. Give the rooters a try
nc
I use the EZ Clone machine, (60 place). RO water with base nutes added to 150-170 ppm. I have a great sucess rate with this, 95-100%. :character0180:
What? rockwool cant go into soil?!!??!?! I DO THAT EXACT THING ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!
that type of criticism is the shit that makes noobs lurk instead of post! dont criticize dude give him props for having the sense to ask people who know instead of just screwing up. everyone was at this point at one time! IMO if you dont want to help people and you dont need help you should stay out of threads in help sections and stick to riding balls in other peoples journals....
