WhaT I`m looking for is comments on the 6 strains that would be the best choises for a cash crop.The cash is needed for improving my land and to refresh, breed MMJ.I also want to refresh maybe 5-6 strains on the list.This will be done old school /outdoor.After I have a proprer set up in place, I will be working my ass off to refresh as many strains as fast as possibe. I also intend on vending seeds to support this operation and expand it. It is not intended for profit(other than improved land value and simple living expenses).This is my passion, other than ever expanding my seed hoe collection. I want the widest possibe genetic collection preserved,catologed,and availible to the community before these gems are lost or breeded out.
Second I want my land to be an organic, and as self sufficent as possible against these troubled times.

I'm in shock! Whoa, MC. U got a nice selection on that list. I can only imagine what's in the rest of the 22,000 strains u have. Make some beans when u get time and space. For the cash crop I would run the NL#5, Chem Valley Kush, Cali O, White Fire OG, 91CHEM x TOK and the GHaze! Hope that helps a lil in ur selection, MC.

I have a lot more seeds and strains. Just never have made a full list of them. I always loose count.22,000 or so, the highest I`ve got to.You are the second person to show intrest in the Banana Kush strain.

I just want to let people know I do very few trades with anyone except those who are acomplished and well known breeders or collectors. I never sell any seeds direct ,only through auctions or sells through valid sites like the THC Farm. Don`t even ask. I`m not here to step on this sites toes ! I`m a gest here just like you are.

I`ve narrowed it down to these;Nebula x LLOGK,Sierra Leon IBL,Time Warp,Surge Nites OG Bx1,Chemdog 91 x ToK,Wifi OG Kush,ToK,Original Deisel,Original SD,Pre Soveit Kandahar,Danberry Blue,Blackberry,Saranac Red Bud,Original Sensi Star,Cali O,Buddah,Original Alien Dawg,Deep Chunk, Chem Dawg x LA con.Ad ToK and Pre 98 bubba to this list.

I`m going to think about CRed but it is a full on Sativa and may be hard to come to full flower in the mountians without a greenhouse. NL#5 and GHaze can be monster size plants I had a cross of them come in at 18` and almost 12 LBS.before so I`ll hold off on these as they would be very hard to manage outdoors.Same with Greenhouse -13, aka G-13. If I do 5 seeds of each strain that comes to 100 seedlings?If they all hatch,if not I can start more.

I plan on cloning them all and putting cuttings into 12/12 to show there sex ,then desiding which and how many to clone. I will be keeping the male clones at one location and will collect pollen in my freezer,later I`ll pick out the females to donate to and the ones for the cash crop. The knocked up females will be going into a friends indoor grow room to 12/12 then the sellected female clones will be put in my small pop up green house. By the time they out grow it I hope to have the ground ready to put them in holes.If not they may go into large tubs and be transplanted into holes later. I think this will work better than trying to do it all outdoors.It would take way to much gas for my generator this time of year.

Today has been a tuff one.Went to the valley and while there I bought a ham. It was to big for the RV freezer or fridge,also to big for the oven.I cut it into chunks and put half of it in the oven only to find the pan leaks. Smoked me out of the RV and almost started a fire in the oven.Can`t put it outside because it would atrack bears.I gess I`ll cover it for now and in the morning cook it all in the BBQ /smoker. I`ll package it up and put some in the freezer and some in the fridge.I really thought it would fit in the freezer or fridge,What was I thinking? May give a chunk to Brute,my pitbull.But he`s already getting fat,so maybe not.

I`m going to start the seeds in the morning. I`ll keep you all up dated,maybe with some pictures along the way. I really don`t get very excited about plants until they are into flower anymore though.Any Ideals on crosses? Remember I`ll still have at lest half a pack of these same strains to work with later and make crosses with what ever I deside to run next. I plan on adding Pre 98 to the strains also. I may vend a few packs of each strain here at the farm if I get enough for each strain for crosses as well as some fresh seed to put away.

if you look at this board or most others you'll see every dog and his pack is growing or trading og's, bubba's,kush?, aliens, chems,sours, etc or some homogenous mix and if you'll note? the folks seem to be wanting something different
cred, sierra leon,tok, etc. are what i would look at in either seed or flower form as the first group is simply over marketed as 90 +% of growers are doing these
the new market will be for something crisp and clean

Well I thought of that but at the moment it seems the clubs in the SF area are looking for anything purple and the clubs down South seem to want mostly kushes.I really love Sativa strains being an old timer and one of the best is CRed,but still I`ll be working at about 34-3800 ft in an area that can get early rainfall with not knowing if I`ll be able to get greenhouses up or not by end of Fall. I will be growing Sierra Leon IBL and more ToK but I`m not sure if I will grow CRed this time arround.If not it will be in the works for the future.The Danberry Blue and Black Berry will be used in a cross for breeding out some purples in the future(Black& Blue x ? ) and will not be listed for sale.I`m growing out some Cali O just because I love the Orange flavor so much.Not sure what kind of appeal it would have as it`s already around here and there.Remember this is just a start.I will also contenue my work on making seed from clone only God`s Gift and Kin`s Grand Daddy Purple ,possibly by crossing each with Old Grand Dad and back crossing.I have several other things I will be working on in the side lines.But It takes many generations for most of my works to be ready and marketable.Simple refreshed works and simple crosses can be marketable much sooner.Until I have several indoor grow rooms and the ability to grow year around I`ll work on what I think will work to rase funds in the shorter run.I plan on listing at lest some packs of most the strains I`m working on in this batch. Fear not there will be a lot more coming down the pipe.

OK I looked up Sierra Leon(e) and it`s a West African strain.This is likely a Sativa strain But I`m as intrested in this strain as others seem to be and if I`m going to run one Sativa I might as well chance two, so CRed is on the list as well. Good thing is they won`t be comming down all at the same time as the Sativa strains take longer to flower.I`ll leave the Sativa strains in tubs so they can be grouped together and a make shift tent of plastic can be put up if needed.

I`m also thinking of adding Banana OG Kush and Sour Banana .The Banana OG kush has very tight nodes and if not trained or topped has a large hard main cola that is easy to get mold.It has a bad lief ratio. When you exhal the smoke is dark blue with a hint of banana flavor.It isn`t harsh as you would think and when rolled the paper becomes oilly.

Sour Banana has large spacing nodes and grows tall with hard nugs streched out mostly on the ends of branches and at the top of the cola.It doesn`t look like it will produce well but because the buds are so hard it suprizes when weighed out and almost makes up for the seemingly skimpy amount of buds.

If I can get medium spacing and keep the hard buds That`s what I`ll be looking for in the cross. Other traits would be a better lief ratio, banana flavor + some sour, oilly buds and deep dark smoke on exhale. Both are dank strains so hope the cross will contenue that as well. Don`t remember what Sour Banana was made with but it`s the stuff that Greens grew when he rented my trailor years ago and it could be smelled for blocks away. The Banana OG is just that a pheno of original OG Kush and was used by orgkid in the making of his hybred of Bananna Kush? He also had some of the original OG seeds but, lacked the Banana pheno so we did some trades of stock.I`ve never had the pleasure of growing his Banana Kush but everyone who has describes the same trates between his Banana Kush and my Banana OG kush,they look a little different in photos. His grows with a little less bud lief and maybe a little more node space.

If the above cross works out as well as I hope, what should I name it? Sour Banana OG Kush,Sour Banana Kush, Banana tart kush, or ? I may have to have a contest and give away a pack of seeds to the winner who`s name is picked. Also it`s very likely this strain will need alot of work to make it stable in highth. I exspect a few very different phenos from such a cross. Should I release it as an F2 or work maybe years to make it more stable?

I Ended up cutting up a whole ham and slow smoking it in the BBQ pit yesterday.It tastes just like bacon! But some in the fridge,ate some for supper,and some in the freezer in my RV for making beens,or what ever later.

I really like to scuff all seeds and give em a dunk in H2O2 then soak them in warm water in cups to start my seeds.I just don`t have enough room and worry the cups would get knocked over or the water get cold at night. Because of this I started only two strains on my list yesterday afternoon,Cali O and Timewarp. 5 seeds of each. This morning I have three TW with tails so far. They`ll be going into cups with soil today.It`s way early to tell on the others.I`ll start a few more strains today using paper towels. It works as I`ve used this method before but it is slower.I`m using Holy Water to sprout them,I believe it makes a difference.I believe that it draws the Holy Spirit , which is the source of all life.I also feel talking and playing music helps plants grow. I play a number songs to them but one seems to work the best` Castles in the sand`.Maybe it`s the vibes?

I like the name Sour Banana OG Kush! Strain name contest would be cool. I'm always down for a contest. Especially to name that x. Make F2's and set them loose on us. I know carnack and have talked to him on the phone a few times,Didn`t know he did the cross though. Can`t remember who I got these from really. That happends alot anymore as I just have to many strains to keep up with em all. It`s like the Skywalker,I remember it is Mazar x Blueberry but have no idea who made em or who I got em from.I do remember the smoke however and it`s dank stuff.

Good news(Sort of) I been looking through my seeds for the CRed,haven`t found em yet,but I did find where I already made some Sour Banana X Banana OG Kush F1`s but never grew them out. I`ll be taking the Sour Banana off the list and adding these.It will save me some time.I also found a couple alternitives Choc Deisel and some 69 Skunk x UK Cheese.I know Cheese is a rare pheno of Skunk #1(Clone only) but 69 skunk is the one that started the skunk line.If I can get a very cheesy pure cheese seed line it would be great! But even if not this could be a very nice cross.May also end up with some road kill.What I expect is more like the Sweet Island Skunk,just have to see what this cross of sorts holds.One more TW popped so that`s 4 of 5 ,so far no Cali O. Oh well it`s only been about a day. I`m excited and aprehiencive until I see tails! Course even then things can happen.
