heyYou dont. It is a popular myth to soak willow branches in water and use that to root cuttings since willows are so easy and vigorous to root themselves. They contain an abundance of the popular rooting hormone (IBA?) and also salacitic acid (aspirin).
However neither of these substances are water soluble hence the myth.
I read an alcohol extraction could work but no studies are showing any effacy with willow branches.
I have giant swamp willows around my house. I thought and read about this a lot at one point.
unrelated to willows, but Larry the roofer has done his share of landscaping and old school farming so i was trying to pick his brain for cross techI read someone rooted big woody 4’ cuts no problem. They just want to grow.
hey
does this mean i should stop spitting, cinnamoning n honeying n my gel? was that just a cruel joke... u never mentioned that about willow b4 & i know u seen me say it. what else ya got ol man!
ur throwin pearls, again, today!
I'll take the freeloader research!
I'm not proud
and my cloner sprayers, "APPEAR", to strip off any dipI have had great success rooting clones without anything but my well water. Just like seeds it seems problems are usually caused from environment.
raising tempI'll try it someday just for kicks but I'll only use water boil &/or soak, I dont like using solvents for anything if avoidable, the more natural the better but whatever works in the end
don't give inAt least 2 thumbs up
someone train a rowdy streak into that hairbaill troublemakerI hope not to be condemned for bad information. ;-)
So I read a lot.
well I'm not kiddingI miss a lot of what you write bro. I have to be tuned in properly to communicate with your kind.
One of my oldest best friends writes poetry all the time. In high school and beyond I was constantly being handed “notes” that contained 100’s of lines of thought writing.
But i think i am not wired to read all of it anymore.
Also proving garden techniques are myth pisses folks off so I have to be in the mood. Lol
well I'm not kidding
u read anything about my lil gel additions to call bullshit on
i need to know
I'm cheap
honey cinnamon n sometimes
depending on the source, so's saliva!
i expect an A from u today, professorI miss a lot of what you write bro. I have to be tuned in properly to communicate with your kind.

viscousifier vs emulsifier
hmmm
anyway
i think i found u guys what u might b lookin for
i expect an A from u today, professor
here's ur carrier and emulsifier
hydroyxethylcellulose
and it's cheap
i was just deciphering the name n the definition
they weren't very creative
cellulose
we learn from Harrison clancy's clear n present danger
is paper
ethyl
we learn from our raging alcoholism and 18pk shortages
goes n ur drunktank
and that other thing means water
fuckerz
when i saw 99.9999% nothing
i had a feeling
and as med mentions it's hydrophobic status, essentially
considering the low ppm requirements of linglings n clones
how much we really talkin bout needin the carrier to heft?
u can't read tone
i smartass med
i don't disrespect him, his knowledge, or research
so med- that low solubility rate
is it possible since clonex is sellin us bottled water in a paper towel with enough booze we won't notice
I'm wondering if that low rate...
it's not like 420 could dip it n check ppm
shoot
I'm lost mentally
I'm going over density mass/volume equations
forgetting more than i remember
trying to dream up a detour to distillation
but i keep thinkin it'd b the easiest way
plateauing through its boiling point and it's just too complicated for my head, today
can't we just buy an 8$ bottle n water it down
so to speak
I'm exhausted n my noodle
i hate whatever time i just spent on thisYou dont need the substance soluble you need the iba in the willow branch to be soluble. Like thc boiled into butter.
in all of these “cheap” ways to make products i like to include time and materials to calculate savings.
A bottle of rooting hormone is not very expensive if you feel you need one. Thats how i look at it.
