Don't forget to add a few cents for MAP and Thiamine for the MPK to make the MOAB ;)

Heres ya guys go...
This is cheap and nearly identical.. just missing the B1

MOAB 500G - $50

Mono-Potassium Phosphate(mkp) 1LB - $12

I know there are cheaper places to get mpk, but i dont have the time to order all my supplies from different places, i order kelp extract and other stuff from these guys so out of the sake of convenience il pay a few bucks extra..

I love it! I can see people making there own but, even though the labels tell you what they are derived from they do not tell you the ratio in which they are added and do not tell you everything that is in the make up of the product Most companies only give enough info on the label to make the "man" happy. If you use the MOAB, make sure to cut your base nutes in half. I added Moab and Massive to my program and picked up an extra 20% to my yield.

ive yet to use bloom boosters ,,, does moab promote new growth at late stage of flower ? and if so im guessing one has to let say an 8 week strain go longer to let the new growth late in flower mature --- is that how that works ?

no.

you'd run it during the final swell, around end of wk6 thru wk7. flush wk 8.

the potassium, phospherous spike during these weeks signals the plant to increase flower production.

was told by a nute rep that NPK concentrations that high have a more pronounced effect. the plant feels death near and tries to reproduce at all cost.

I thought the idea behind a bloom booster was to use it during the onset of bud formation? What exact weeks are you boosting? Boosting after the stretch? Boost on week 3?

High P makes plants stretch...dont believe me?

Also guys a formula of say 10-50-50 on the label is not balanced with the P and K. The P and K are listed in oxide form and translate to very different ppms per gallon...

10 N = 25 ppm
50 P = 55ppm
50 K = 103 ppm

I hate all of this bad information!!!

I have notice that the increase in my PPM's is minimal when I add MOAB. I know that it can still burn even without a big ppm spike. I use it weeks 7-8, flush 9, cut 10.

it def can burn your buds. i went a little hot on the moab, burnt the tips of the calyxs.

some use it initially, around week 2 or so, soon as the budsets form to kick things off...not sure when the best time is to use it. all part of dialing it in.

I've seen people using it very differently. On the container it says week 2 and week 5. I've been told to use it the in week 7 for a 9 week strain... or week 6 for an 8.

I've been very conservative and used it only in week 5. I'll try 2 doses this round.. week 2, week 5 for an 8 week strain. I use Budswel liquid which is a batguano/ seabird guano tea for added flavor instead of Koolbloom or a PK booster.

i run it hard, in conjunction w/ HH, at wks7 and 8.
I use less concentrated PK boosters at wk3, Canna's.

Since using it, i've experienced more budrot, but that seems to be a function of how massive the nugs get and not the nutrient itself. Not a bad problem to have, IMO.

edit:
the reason for using a different PK for wk3 is because high NPK ratios will have an adverse affect on microbes. At the end, i'm pushing it hard w/ little regard to microbes.

I have to disagree with your statement. As far as store bought PK boosters are concerned it is reasonably priced and in my experience with it I have seen very good results. I've done side by sides with MOAB vs shooting powder vs no PK booster. The lights with MOAB finished larger. I won't pretend to understand all of the mathematical calculations, but I do understand my plants and what they tell me works. I also listen to the hundreds of grower that I deal with on a weekly basis.

Exactly. All MOAB is comprised of is MONOPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE! (and a little b1)

I buy mine at $15 a lb.. do u have an online supplier you can recommend? I use kelp4less.com. I also get third liquid sea kelp so its convenient..
