I'd love to go to with some new low energy lights but the costs for the fixture alone puts it out of reach to by quality equipment. Fluorescent & hps are relatively cheap to buy but the cost of running them is a lot more.A lot of cash for sure but it’s hard to deny the results everyone is getting. Not just the 1/2 people but almost everyone has had above expectations results.

Right now up here I have my 1000w running and a heater to keep the temps up to 75f (basement grow) With new led or other low energy lights the heater would never turn off, losing any electric savings I'd get with new lights. It seems there's no way for me save money growing...gotta pay to play one way or another.

Not bad necessarily, but my buddies that own arguably the number 1 LP in Canada switched their entire operation over from wet trimming to dry trimming because of lab testing results. Whole branch hang drying and dry trimming produced a higher quality, and higher terpene content in the finished product. They remove large fan leaves before drying but dont remove sugar leaf and tight trim until its dry.
I used to wet trim and switched to dry trimming when they did, and can definitely tell the difference. Dry trimming is superior, and easier if done right.

I do t know the science behind it , other than smashing trichs vs collecting them in a trim bin. Hopefully someone will be along to answer that proper! Really is a great question - hell I might even be dry trimming wrong? I don’t really know. I’m just happy with what I got goin for nowIs wet trimming bad somehow?

Fwiw they did it for quality reasons, but after they discovered the increase in quality and did a feasibility study, they also found that it sped up the overall harvesting process nearly 10%, saving them a lot of money as well. It was a win win.Thanx DB just another skill we will have to acquire. Always lookin to do better
