So, I moved the front row of Chemdog D trees up, so I could get to the back row and tie up some floppies...

I had a good look, and took some big whiffs of these..

I wish you guys could see these in person...

The leaves look like thick vinyl, spray-painted with color-changing, electroluminescent lacquer.

The shit doesn't even look real.

They smell funny, good funny!

Like nitrate alcohol, it burns the nostrils.

I tried to capture the greasy/plastic texture of the leaves in these pictures.

The pictures are still kinda yellow-toned, due to the HPS color temperature.

Here is a side branch of Plant "B" at 28 days of flower.

I'm glad to see you around!

I think she's gonna turn out pretty decent. :mmm

the fatness of it resembles the Santa Marta Colombian Gold [SMCG]

not the skinny skinny 16+week sativas...

your photo taking is something else

Thanks!

Yeah, their definitely not skinny.

That's exactly why I've focused on this pheno...

I worked with some of the seeds of the 2 varieties of 14ft Highland Sativas last year.

I didn't have the head-room to work them, and moved on...

I have gifted around 40-50 seeds of those varieties to another farmer.

I still have around 140, between the two 14 footers remaining, with future plans. :itwasntme

along for the ride as well been watching this thread from the start. great pics

Thanks!

Good to see you here bro! :hi

nice love me some d

Yeah, the "D" is now my favorite flower/oil.

That shit is phenominal! Beautiful plant, one of my only 2 "clone onlys" now.

You've got the best Tahoe I've seen, the shit's huge! :smoke

SMALL UPDATE:

It looks like these are gonna go around 70-75 days.

So, they have about 4+ weeks left.

I will take some pictures closer to the finish, when the time comes. :time

Looking good Marta. They have some fat looking pistils and the trichs are starting to sparkle. This is going to be an interesting ride from here to the end.

I love the leaves on that hybrid. Very lush and tropical looking.

Chemdog D is a fat yielder of A+ dank. You should be in for some killer headstash soon. Things are looking good it seems. How floppy are the stems of the Chemdog D so far?

I love the anticipation that comes w/ growing out something for the first time and am in that boat over at my op too. You have some special beans and it looks like your start got them rolling on a good wave. Looking forward to seeing what they look like.

An old Chemdog D (Hawaiian D) is one of my production plants and am currently involved in a breeding project that's using it... I tend to chop mine towards the early side of the window- around 56 da or when the trichs first start turning amber or @10-20% amber max. That's just me and my tastes though. I like the up buzz w/ my particular strain.

I could never understand why people didn't white balance to HPS w/ their shots until my camera took a dive and I got a hand me down from a friend to cover me until I get a new one and learned that some cameras don't have that feature and you're stuck w/ the presets.

I have a weird sleep situation too- sleep like a rock for 6-8 hours but don't have regular hours- was getting between 10:30-1PM for a couple of weeks but have drifted into the night shift lately- woke up @ 6:30 PM yesterday, 4PM today. I tend to gravitate to the night shift and than do a pull up every once in awhile to get on "normal" time.. An artifact of my old employment cycle/s. Love those quiet, alone nights under the midnight sun- a great time to work/meditate in the grow room which is where I'm off to in about....

The pistils look like fuzzy, plastic weed-wacker wire, very thick indeed! :cool0019:

I agree tropical for sure, exotic even. :thinking

sweetness. thanks for da invite

What's up Chronic Monster?

Good to see you around! :talking

Jesus Tap-Dancing Christ!

The yield & the stench are amazing, Chemdog D is my current favorite!

When I cut all of the strings from the Kolas they just flopped & snapped right off the main stem. :giggle

I couldn't believe how hollow the stems were, and hollow all the way up to the tops too.

I will definitely be using cages next round. :rock

:party0044:

It's the anticipation and the wonder that gets me, poppin' beans is fun to say the least...

Apparently my sleep cycles are regulated genetically...

My father, his father, and so on, have only ever had to sleep 4 hours every 20 hours...

I've never owned an alarm clock.

any updated shots?

Sure thing, here we go...

I want to apologize for the long over-due update...

I've been extremely busy lately, with my relocation and such.

FINAL UPDATE:

So, I took these two girls down @ 70 days...

Here, have some pictures...

The nugs cured up fairly nice...

I wouldn't exactly call her "DANK" but, she's an exotic Sativa for sure.

The aroma & taste are very similar, skunky onions, cheddar, & ethyl alcohol.

The exhale burns one's nose and tingles the lips.

Instant onset, 2+ hours, hot-rod, speed-demon, "I'm never sleeping again" attitude adjustment.

Not recommended for the inexperienced Sativa smoker.

This stuff seriously alters one's perception of time.

It's like the universe slows down, but not one's mind or acuity for sense based perception.

Having a nice slow Indica/Indica Dominant Hybrid around for afterwards is a must.

I wish you could too, but I think we literally live at opposite ends of the country. :thinking

I don't think I'm ever going to drink caffeine again, there's just no need anymore. :evilgrin

I'll be putting in some work with her in the real near future.

Looks AMAZING!! Jealous of your smoke indeed!

Thanks!

She smokes great, but I have been eating her in the morning the last few days... ZooooooooooOOOOM! :character0029:

I had the same experience, my trip was a real TRIP for sure. :clapping

I was amazed at how fast she finished, at first it was looking' like 11-12 weeks... :time

Then, in week 10, she filled out and started to go about 15% amber.

This plant has replaced my Banana Haze as my morning go-juice.

Well everybody...

I'm all moved into my new location and will be setting up 2 new bloom rooms in the next month or so.

I'm so glad to be out of that temporary location. (small)

I'll be back in a couple months, poppin' tons of seeds and posting a few journals.

Thanks again! :hi

Thank you so much for doing this work to preserve landrace material like this.
Makes me think about the rant against indicas by "R" in high times years ago.
Your path is surely a righteous one.
Best wishes.

I haven't picked up a HT in forever, what rant? and who's "R"? I might be on the wrong page here, but hating on landrace indica or sativa is not very good imo. The way I see it is that all the good strains we have right now are just the end result of some 1 having access to these strains to select until we have today. A lot of the strains are getting more and more diluted, especially w/ retards like green house seeds spreading there feminized trash into landrace areas.:shake

Don't get me wrong, there videos are mildly amusing, but they are like the monsanto of weed... minus the suing.
