Would heavy defoliation do this?
Am I feeding too much?

I might be missing something, I read the whole thread but my memory is terrible. That looks like one of 3 things to me. Underwatering, overwatering or nitrogen toxicity. When overwatering and N toxicity you usually get some yellow tho, probably better to wait for someone else to tell you what to do. How much are you watering them? Ammount of water I mean, and what dosage of nutes?

Probably 5-7 gallons between 11 pots (3-5 Gal.) giving light organic nutes 2 times a week

If they recovered my guess and Im 99% sure is that they were over watered. When theyre claw-like and recover on their own its just that. With N toxicity they wouldnt go back to how they looked and with lack of water they wouldnt recover until you water.

Imo stop using Cal Mag in soil, you really don’t need it if you are using hard water.

So you watered, they became like that and today theyre better? Give them 1 or 2 more days of no water or use less water. A few grows ago I had 7 5 gallon pots and I wasnt using nearly as much water.

Calmag is only for soft water, you also need to consider if it has nitrogen and how much. With hard water you only use calmag if you see a deficienty, or you use a very low dose. I use it specially in fattening but my calmag definetely doesnt have nitrogen otherwise I wouldnt use calmag to fatten the buds because the nitrogen would ruin everything.

I use hard water and my base fert has calcium and magnessium in it. If its not much it shouldnt be a problem. Maybe its the high nitrogen they come with sometimes what caused the burnt tips. Theyre usually 5-0-0 or higher, the ones that have it that is.

I don’t see any problems other than the possible wind burn in the pictures. I don’t see curling, maybe a little at the top leafs. But I see dull color on almost all of them.

High nitrogen or N toxicity will be dark leaves, glossy, and at its worst aqua blue at the edges.

I water about 7 to 10 days in between. Half gallon water in 5 gallon fabric bags.

Youre right about the N toxicity but the leaves are droopy in the picture he was worried about. N toxicity makes that but the leaves tend to get dark green and also go claw like. I still think its too much water.

Too much water, when you overwater your new leaves start coming pale and eventually yellow, but thats my opinion, maybe there's something else to it but it fits with the droopy leaves that recovered when the substrate dried a bit. How long after you water them did they look droopy?
