Whatcha gonna do?
Pray, but other than that I have replaced the rear entry door with a new steel door and ordered an 8 camera Security system. I am going put expanded steel on the inside of all basement windows. Put a deadbolt in front door. I'm checking into an Alarm system like @DrMcSkunkins has. The only thing the thieves could have seen was pots and such that were in the basement but not near the grow room which was locked. Then pray some more that continuing to grow doesn't end in a felony charge.

I want to flip to 12/12 in no more than a week. I wish I had them set up to scrog but I don't know of anywhere local to buy a net. I guess I could order one. I also need to figure out how to defoliate the lower parts of the plants. Do I need to go from the 2.23 and 3 gallon pots to the 5 gallon smart pots I have? I am not sure if roots grow much in the 12/12 cycle?

So @EventHorizan @DrMcSkunkins @rmoltis @iKharon @BarnaGoat

I would not up pot the coco to 5 gal. Those 2 and 3 gal pots are plenty and actually recommended. You really need to set up a automatic drain to waste for the optimal growing conditions so u can water multiple times a day.. that supplies 02 to the roots multiple times a day, so the qicker a pot can dry out the qicker you can water again, WHICH MEANS, the more you can supply 02 (oxygen) to the root system... many only use 1/2 gal and 1 gal square pots for coco..
in dirt you want bigger pots, in coco u want smaller...
understanding cation exchange is paramount in understanding the chemistry that happens in coco...
And most def roots grow during flower, during the first couple weeks... Materfact, after coming out the cloner i like to give them hps light TO PROMOTE the roots to grow, then switch to mh till flip...
As for defol, i would lollipop, (remove) anything under 18" from the top, then flip...

WARNING.... If you plan to scrog, or any lst, supercropping, then dont lollipop till after you have did that...

As for telling you what you should do, u need to update us with pics so we know if, and what we should do...

Glad to see you getting your place fortified...
Recommendation.... Keep your grow to yourself... yes some things are hard to get done on your own, but with good imagination, and fortitude, you can accomplish what ever you have to!
Post some pics, so we can see how things look..
Again glad to see you back with a plan brother!

I have not told anyone except my sons (oldest nephew = oldest son) They are my help when needed, the youngest is 27 and lives here . Where is your thread?

Since your In soil. I'd transplant as soon as your plants rootball can hold itself together when removed from the pot.

This is always my sign of whether or not I chose the right or wrong time to try.

If I'm wrong the newly establishing rootball falls apart lol. Roots at the drain holes are positive indicators that the time to up pot is near.

Your soil capacity of each pot correlates with increased yield.

So up pot them to 5 gallon pots then give them 1 or 2 weeks for root growth then flip. If your wet dry cycles are on point the roots will grow very quickly.

The center 2 are shortest. 1 is the G13 lags C99 that had issues early on with weird curly leaves and stayed stunted for a bit but is now bushy and the other is Critical Kush and shortest yet it stayed a runt forever but is picking up steam.

They went 6 days between watering this last time. (watered Thursday) I think all pots have air pruned roots at drain holes. I am thinking maybe it would be best to wait until they are close to needing water so the soil and root ball are lighter giving me less chance of it falling apart. This also lets my short one time to catch up. Plus the new soil being just watered should have oxygen enticing new root growth. (i think)

If you transplant while the soil is dry. It increases your chances of the root ball falling apart. You want to transplant a couple days after watering. To the point where it is in between being wet and dry.

Transplanting while the soil is slightly moist tends to "glue" the soil together. Decreasing the chances of the root ball falling apart.

We are thinking alike. I didn't mean the day before needing water just closer than today. I was thinking Monday afternoon. But your right that might be a little late as last time it actually 5 1/2 days between watering and tomorrow midday would be 3 days. Please tell me how you go about transplanting when they are this big.

I would just flip them.... and i would prob supercrop a week later... just me...

I think I would be "ok" leaving them in the pots their in but unless I break something during transplant I see no down side with a possibility of a bigger harvest. Remember you saying soil demanded more time than you wanted to bother with but if I didn't mind to go for it? Well this is just more work and if I don't do it I feel my laziness would cheat me and the plant, I just was not sure how roots grew during flowering.

Now I will take pictures separately in new pots for advice on what to trim off.

Wow dude, I'm sorry for you. I hope it quits raining and the creeks quit rising. I'm on top a hill so the only flooding I get it a clogged toilet for the most part.

I was just asking if you remembered telling me that you switched to hydro because you didn't want to spend all the time with soil? I'm in soil so I am responsible for the work I must do to attempt to get the most out of the grow. I'm not looking forward to the work but will be happy I did it :)

I would give them at least 10 days in the new pot before flipping to flower.

Soil grown weed tastes better.

I see that you never like my posts and you always seem to come behind me and contradict my advice. The butthurt run deep with you or something? Whats the deal?

I really dont know what youre talking about, didnt know there was an issue. To be honest I dont even think I read your post, I just read that he was going to up pot and I like to give the roots a few weeks to grow before flipping, just my preference. It was only my two cents, not me going against anyone...

Sure... I understand what you are saying... Actually i never switched to hydro from soil... I have never done soil, well until a few days ago when i decided to put a few girls outside.. I did do coco, and its all right, and with a dtw i prob would of been happier, but nothing grows like hydro for speed, and size,,, As for Dr Dollittle opinion that soil tastes better, thats what i had heard too, but i see a few hydro guys on here that have done both say, in the words of CO Potter," horse hockey " As for me, i honestly cant say, so i wont give an opinion like some, when all im gonna do is cite another persons opinions. You have to have done both to give a creditable opinion.
As for up potting, flipping, 2 weeks, again, im not a soil grower, but i meant flip them now in the container they are in, but i understand that you want to give more soil for the nutes in it to carry you thru flower, or i guess thats why. What have you decided to do?

ok i buy that, since i have no reason to think otherwise, just that you have did it a few times ever since you went on a mission for grower of the month. But understand this, i didnt try to win that shit, no do i give a shit about that shit, i help ppl cause i want to see them succeed, the same as myself. It just seems ever since that day i won that and you made that smart ass comment, u have had an attitude, so i was just asking....
make sure we aint beefing, have to call my posse and sheet!

So if im wrong, i apologize, on my behalf, i an an ex old biker meth head and sometimes i can over analyze things, even tho most times im spot on.............................................
