im too tired to read the long post so ill just throw this out there.... one reason your ppms could be going up without adding anything is your plants are drinking more water that they are uptaking nutes, also if your RH is to low you plants will drink more water leaving nutes behind in an effort to raise the overall RH of your room. just a thought I did read you figured its coming from the PH adjuster... fuck good luck with your grow!!

Whats up Chief? Sounds like you are having all kinds of fun with your first hydro grow! Damn I love the hydro, lol. LordDankenstien may be on to something. I keep my humidity close to 60% during budding and I don't see drastic fluctuations. I know a lot of growers like to keep their humidity in the 40's during flowering because of Jeorge Cerventas grow bible, but my personal experience is the cannabis loves higher humidity's and like LD said your plants could be drinking water in excess because they arent getting enough via foliar. I just flipped my plants today and my scrog is rocking bro! I have the screen FULL I mean jammed to the max. My camera battery is dead and I have to get another one tomorrow, but I will update it ASAP so you can check out my grow. Take care man- Malachi

Thanks for stoppin by Lord Dankenstein, I appreciate the input man your more than welcome ta slide thru anytime. I hear you guys on the plants takin up more water than nutes, causin the PPMs ta rise but I watched the PPMs really close last week and unless I was addin PH down there wasnt even a slight change in PPM at all. I dont really know what I was thinkin but I shoulda put 2 and 2 together and figured out the PH down thing alot sooner! Now if I can just get this damn PH to stablize we'll be in business! I think my addition of the sea sponge to the rez for the bene's caused em to multiply big time, and I was addin more Bud Candy than I shoulda been. Supposedly beneficials are notorious for causing PH ta go up like crazy, especially big populations are muliplying rapidly and Ive def been providing a perfect environment for them lil bastards! So I took out the airstone/sponge and reduced the Bud Candy by about a third and so far the PH is chillin but its only been a day so we'll see... Oh yea Id like ta have my humidity a tad higher right now but I really dont have a choice, I def dont have room for a humidifier or even a damn bucket of water for that matter so theyre gonna have ta deal with 45%. But with as packed as these colas are gonna be in 2 weeks Im very happy with my humidity! Ill be throwin in a few more fans and a lil Green Cure ta make sure I dont end up with any mold, some of these bigger plants look like theyll be pushin 2 zips each by the time theyre done!
But the girls seem ta be very happy right now and theyre packin on buds at about a week ahead of schedule compared to the last 2 runs! So far in the hydro theyve shown pistils a week sooner and the bud growth is a week ahead so we might see these girls finish up around day 45 if it keeps up! Ill be hyped, every 45 days is 8 cycles a freakin year!

Yea Chief I am doing a thread this go around . I only ended up with 16 plants in my scrog, but I am liking it because it made clearing out the undergrowth easy. I am shooting for 2 zips per, so we will see how that goes. The canopy is so dense I am going to have to drop my humidity in the 40's when the sites start forming. Whats goin on everybody??? Sorry for goin so damn long without updating or addin pics but I promise to get some pics up for yall asap! My laptop and phone bitin the dust in the same week has really put a dent in my posting abilitys!

But on a more positive note my PH issues have been 100% resolved! I removed the airstone, aerated the water for 12 hours before adding the nutes, and got some new PH down just in case my other stuff wasnt stablizng. Oh and for anyone that picks up some Advanced Nutrients PH down be EXTREMELY CAREFUL! It is hands down the most concentrated PH adjuster Ive ever used. My buddy told me ta water it down to about 25% before adding it the res just to make sure you dont over do it. So I did, and my PH was at about 6.5 and even that watered down even a couple tiny splashes still dropped my PH ta 4.3! But now that Ive gotten used to it Im really diggin it, you use a lot less so it doesnt seem ta have nearly as much effect on your PPMs.

On another positive note the girls are doin freakin fantastic! Just like the last couple runs theyve gone from super slow for the first 4 weeks, to fuckin bud swell overdrive in week 5. Yall aint gonna believe the amount of bud growth weve had since the last pics, they seem like they double in size every couple of days! Im extremely glad I did so much pruning too, it looks like there's gonna be just enough room for all the tops ta fill out without leaving ANY unused space!

One major difference that Ive noticed between this run and the last two is the resin and trichome production. As you can tell from the flicks of the last run, this Choc pheno produces buttloads of frost and sticky goodness. But it seems like either the hydro or the AN or maybe a lil bit of both has em producing more, bigger trichomes this time. You can very clearly see the stalks with the little ball on top even lookin at em from a foot or two away and were not even in week 6 yet!

I know masses Im workin on it man, I know its hard but try ta remember that patience is a virtue! Ha! I actually got ahold of a pretty damn nice digital camera but since its a few years old the memory sticks it takes are really hard ta find since people buy a new camera every year and just throw last years model out! But I found a place that I can order em from so I got a few on the way. Yall gonna flip when you see how much these buds have swollen up in the last 2 weeks, and we still got 2 more weeks ta go! I probably got close to 100 tops in there, and some of em are already a good 3 inches thick and still got alotta fattenin up ta do.

Oh yea and the smell is just freakin amazing, damn I wish there was a way ta post a fragrance on these forums! It kinda reminds me of Sour Diesel, its like a fresh baked cherrry pie of some kinda pastry with that same super strong fuel kick that almost burns your nose hairs its so strong! lm still really surprised at how well this OdorSok is doin, this is easily one of the strongest smellin plants Ive grown and even after opening the tent the smell is really faint. You actually have rustle the plants around a lil bit for the smell ta get really strong but if you close the tent back up for a few minutes and check it again the smell is gone! Im gonna have ta start letting the fan run during lights off, soon as the filter stops runnin the smell just gets stronger and stronger.

Anywho Ill be postin a whole shitload of pics as soon as this damn endangered species of a memory card gets here, and since theyre swellin up so fast Ill probably be doin 2 updates a week, maybe more if I feel the need.

i dunno bro, i am not very good at predicting either, i always predict low. Last time I predicted around 8 less then I got so it was a good surprise. I am currently in the process of setting up a 6 plant legal tree grow for my next run. Damn its expensive I am getting 8-1000 W Lumatek Ballasts and 4-600's. I am having fun with the setup, I will post some pics the end of may when I start the construction.

Ive never understood the plant restriction shit, I mean one big ass plant can easily out produce 20 small ones! But I guess it would be unamerican ta not put restrictions on something right?
Damn man I was doin a lil leaf trimmin a few hours ago and my hands still smell so damn strong like fuel its almost makin me dizzy!

Yea I just got my medical card in my State and the restrictions are 6 plants. This will be my first venture into MPB land but from what I hear a gr per watt is common in these types of setups. Thats what I am shooting for but I know I might not get there on my first run. I think it is stupid to put limitations on plants as well, if these people knew anything about growing they would limit your lights not your plant counts.

I still browse around all the forums from time ta time lookin for somebody else that's found the same pheno but still aint found anybody, I feel like I won the freakin lottery or somethin ya know! Hiya chief how goes it so as uve read I chopped my ladies a few weeks ago pulled about 300 gs a lil more not so bad on my first run cut at day 54 proble could let it go another week to get more amber trichs but I think I have it just where I want it as well its a decent smoke to I haven't got around to make my hash yet but maybe on the 3 of april ill get that chance thinkin of usin the work bag with the 20 micron n have one communal thing of all grades of hash what u think n what do u do to put it through diff runs I got bout 500 gs of trim n bud I'm using in the 5 gal bags I'm also think bout my next grow I'd like to get two more 600 that would be optimal I think for me I'd like to get a 4x8 tent n have 2 6s in there over 2 3x3 tables set on 60 day cycles then the other one I wanna use n run another lil grow where I harvest a plant a week but we shall see I gotta work out the electrical do u think I can plug all that into the walls with out neproblems ne ways kinda ramblin but ur choc looks great I wish is did more my first run but the ms wasn't down now that I did this run somwhat sucsessful she's approved more of course but very impressed with that choco I'm bummed I lost that pheno I look back n realized how lil I knew with what I tried doing before lol looks like ur gonna have a sold pound n half or so on ur hands but man those an nutes seems like u gotta be experienced to understand hpow to use them properly seems like ur doing well with them though n u gotta some help which is benifical also when can I get a cut of that choc from u I'd love to start running that pheno now that I'm getting better at my e n f can't wait until june that's when I fire up the lamps again n back in business ne ways hope all is well

Whats happenin Kali glad you could stop by homey! You should def stick around the farm man, youll like it way better than RIU man were a lot more of a close nit kinda site. I realized at RIU its really hard ta get good answers for any questions unless its about cfls/leds! Everybody here is really cool and serious about growin, there's a helluva lot less trollin and hatin around here too.
But anyway as far as the hash goes if your gonna mix it all Id still use at least one of the top bags to catch most of the really small leaf material that gets past the work bag. If you have a 5 bag kit and just want one mixed grade just use the fine 25 micron and the next bag down from the work bag, mines a 160 micron.
Now 2 600s will be fine on a standard 15 amp breaker but you wont have much room left on that circuit for your fans, ac, etc. What u wanna do is find out what sockets are on what circuits, that way you can run your lights and maybe something else on one circuit and then use another one for the rest of your equipment.
But Ill be lookin forward ta seein the new set up, you should give AN a try too its really not hard ta use at all. I just followed the nute calculator for the most part, changing a few things here and there ta suit my needs. If you can use a measuring cup, you can run Advanced. I hope your right about the pound and a half too man, your the 2nd person thats made that prediction but Im not gettin my hopes up! And your more than welcome ta come get a cut if you wanna make a trip out to the midwest!

Any of yall have any opinions on supplementing CO2 during the last 2 weeks of flowering? This Choc pheno does a lot of swelling up in the last couple weeks and mine def have some bulkin up ta do. I picked up a CO2 powered bike pump for like 15 bucks and it seems like it would be great for use in small tents or closets. It takes the standard little CO2 cartridges and you just pop one in and pull the trigger and it shoots out CO2. Im still tryin ta figure out the math on how many Id need ta reach 1500-2000 ppms but Im pretty sure 1 or 2 will do the job.
Ive heard that CO2 during the final 2 weeks of bloom can decrease potency and Ive also heard that this is bullshit and CO2 during the final weeks is beneficial.
What yall think????
