My pots are 40ltr which is i think 9 gallon give or take. My perlite is 70/30 it was already made up when I bought it. On your thread it says its to be 50/50 will i still be able to do it with less perlite. Maybe thats why the bottom of my pots are always soaking.

Lol... yes it will work but if you feed based on runoff you will notice you won't need to feed as often. Also keep the pots off the floor. It's also normal tat any container is more saturated at the bottom... thats the saturation zone... depending on the media the depth of the saturation zone will change... eg in soil it's much higher that coco and will be even lower in coco/perlite.

Yes and make sure you remove all runoff. The pots should never sit in runoff.

It doesn't look really spacey but they are a lot further apart.

HOW TO WATER COCO FOR BEST RESULTS.

Ok writing this cause i see this issue often and rather have a thread to link than explain this each time. This is not my work but a collection of info from many members here and I have put into practice myself. So first off COCO is NOT soil. For best results we want to keep it saturated...

I can't do it that way mate, my runoff is all tied in together as they are on danish drip trays with a 25mm hose so I wouldn't know what had how much runoff :((

Hmmm any way to measure 1 event and divide by the plants? Not ideal but better than nothing.

I just did it, from 5% =18ltrs over 9 plants in 40ltr pots i got 5.4ltr run off. Slightly too much so ill reduce it a bit tomorrow. Just to be sure I don't water them again till tomorrow? I might seem stupid lol but I'm just double checking.

Yeah the next feed tomorrow at lights on and see what the runoff is like. If it's to much then you can feed every 2 days until you start getting less than 10% runoff. Nothing wrong with to much runoff other than just not necessary. But keep feeding 18L per event if they are 40L pots and 9 plants.

Good idea to test the runoff and see how the ppm and ph are if you still have it. You can how well it's correcting and the stability of the root zone
