Hey there, I read back a page you were concerned about the height. Fro the pics I see you could bend it over and drop a foot of height easily. I've been pushing this Kyle Kushman Chiropractic thing I saw on YT when I did it to mine I could bend them down to the floor or close anyways without breaking the stalk I needed to keep my lights off the lights in veg.......Day 4 of 12/12 lighting.
Yesterday her thirst increased dramatically.
I have been running 3 fertigations of 40 seconds each. Run off was small but increasing with each feed. That is until yesterday. I noticed she looked a little floppy. External basin was dry.
Through out the day, I slowly (30 second feedings at a time) added 6 full minutes before I had run off.
I might need to increase again, it’s just a lush of a plant. Drinks every drop given.
She also sweats droplets, I don’t know if that’s because she’s dialed in or if it’s a bad sign. I added a couple leaflets pictures with droplets showing. At first, I thought I had a bug problem, but it is all sweaty not buggy!
That is a living rock, it’s a South African succulent.
Very cool & a little creepy. That is a living rock, it’s a South African succulent.
Looks like a moldy bagel. That is a living rock, it’s a South African succulent.
I swear to god I thought the same thing!Looks like a moldy bagel.
Where did you get this? I've been to South Africa a couple of times and I've never seen this. How does it grow? Does it have roots or is it an air plant? That is a living rock, it’s a South African succulent.
I bought some at on amazon as dry root, others as seed.Where did you get this? I've been to South Africa a couple of times and I've never seen this. How does it grow? Does it have roots or is it an air plant?
So same care regime as, say, a Venus Flytrap?I bought some at on amazon as dry root, others as seed.
They are called Lithops (genus).
They are literally rock eaters, so anywhere in So. Africa where it’s gravely should have a chance of them growing.
They want little to no organic matter and only a small amount of water at certain times of the year.
They are a little more temperamental than weed in mid-flower, which is a little more temperamental than a teenager during puberty!
I just did exactly that on my plant in the Bay Area, it went from 14” to 37” during stretch! It had a main cola and to side colas that were going to get too close to the light so I bent and tied them off, I’ll do the same in for the Foothills plant when I return.Hey there, I read back a page you were concerned about the height. Its just a technique I was impressed with and thought it could help you lower your plant......you'd have to disassemble your trellis set up I think but have a look at one of his video's if this is news to you....
Some of the same things. So same care regime as, say, a Venus Flytrap?
