Not sure what brown is but if its molasses i would steer clear and stick to mineral salts. But im very confident its a sulphur issueInteresting. Been using the GH ratios fairly accurately from what I can tell. PH has been super stable, slight downward trend as usual.
I'm wondering if I should amend with some brown. Seems like I recall that has the sulfur.
Ahh not sure what minerals it contains but epsom is a cheap adequate source broLOL. Brown is the term I stole from Moe referring to the GH bottle that has the brown stuff in it. I actually think it's more maroon but I'll stick with brown.
Yup yup to me its a classic example . Nothing you did wrong its likely the plant is just a sulphur hogThanks bro, I'm gonna read up on that sulfur see what I can learn.
Lol not gonna lie now that i know what the “brown” is i kinda like the referenceI’m sorry about my stupid terminology it’s just easier to type and convey. I’ll go back to proper names so as not to confuse.
FloraMicro (brown) has no sulfur.

FloraBloom (pink) is where the sulfur comes from.

So with iron in micro and sulfur in bloom you can kinda target things.
I’m with aqua tho if you have a targeted deficiency like sulfur but good on p and k adding more bloom could actually cause other issues. Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) would be a great option. It can be applied in a foliar spray so you could test in an area pretty easy if you are not sure. After confirmation add it to the res. For foliar 2 tblspn / gal should fix you right up.
Walgreens sells 6 pound bags for $5. That will last you 10 years. Just get the blue bag 100% mag sulfate not the fruity shit that has lavender or whatever in it.
It’s crap like this that helped me make my decision to switch to jacks. Just more control. Sometimes you need it.
I like "brown" too.Lol not gonna lie now that i know what the “brown” is i kinda like the reference
Yes, I have a cal/mag/iron formula that I use when I am preparing the res, and then don't add any back in until there is a res change. As far as epsom in the res you gotta look at the big picture of what you are adding. Got cal-mag going in?
Its a fast fix… any sign of deficiency should be gone within a few daysRemarkably, I did the foliar and perhaps it's my imagination, but she seemed to green up right before my eyes. Totally impressed with your skills A-man, learning a lot from you here bro!
