If you can just turn off the dosers and leave the water on to keep water level the same (ro on the float right?). Then you can see If they are eating and then increase your nutrients when you know they are eating. Make sense?

I would yes. If plants are eating then the ph should go up. Remember different nutrients are available at different ph. When I mix I usually start at 5.4 and let it get to 6.0-6.4 before I add ph down again.

Turned all the dosers off, we can see what happens over the next couple of days. The controller saves the info so we can go back and see date, times and atmospheric conditions in the log.

Water temps.
In fla never had a rot problem because everything was always at 72 degrees in the grow. water was always a few degrees colder.
Up north now, these 4 seasons are sure messing with me

I hear you I had to put a heater in the room last night temp where getting to cold. you have to change with the seasons I do best in the summer months.

I fought major root rot this past summer into spring. I have since gotten a water chiller.
I used to run my lights from 7 pm -7 am, always helped the nighttime drop. I would have to occasionally use a rez pond heater.
I'd remove your pump from the rez to stop it from heating the water in the summer for rot, or at anytime

If fla goes medical or rec, I'm out of here, fucking polar vortex is whack. I had 13 different spots where the pipes froze in the crawlspace this year.
I'm handy so nothing but a couple of trips to lowes for some sharkbite couplings, but it is in the single digits all week and negatives. :wtf:

I have never gotten rot in the summer, I have 3 power heads in the rez and a 350gph pump and that a 30 gal rez. Water is now 60-68 lights on ,I found out later that I was trimming and letting the leaves fall in the water and cause the rot I found out the more air in the water the better. Thanks for the tips...

Fuck this weather, I am with you I have family in FL, I already been talking to them. keep the water running a little bit to prevent freezing...

My chick turned off the faucet and the next morning everything thawed, and all hell broke loose. :)
I'm glad it is snowing means it is going to be warmer.
