Worms have been used to catch Fisk since the beginning of time
On the G unison no live bait allowed
Fly fishing has a small San Juan worm pretty effective
My bait days are over all fly for me

What is the reasoning behind not allowing live bait?

Fish will swallow it deep most likely will die
Not good also much more. Challenging to fly fish
Amazing how trout can see bugs smaller than ants and for them to take must look pretty real
The fish on the Ginnison are wild and very selective

I met the kid who is currently touring NZ with his GF couple years back.
He was a guide for a top dollar guest ranch, top dollar 35 thou for 1 week family of 4 to 6.
He was asleep in company truck down by the river.
I woke him up and told him I know all about where you work and have known other guides.
From north Carolina.
Showed him a jar and his eyes lit up. gave him a nug and we agreed to meet up next day noon and go fishing.
Next day we met up and he was all bummed out.
He got fired last night and did not know what he would do for summer.
Found out awhile later he smoked that nug and got all baked, china eyed and the boss fired him.
Brought him to farm he sampled goats milk and that was all it took.
Stayed the summer.
Rich kid but we changed his life. He grew so much and learned a whole new diet.
He would get so baked and eat so much he would lay in bed and moan.
The other farm kids and I convinced him he was gay, or had him worried somehow..
Great kid smart lucky to have parents pay for his education, I convinced him of that what a blessing be thankful to them, and re assured his worried dad about his pot use the least thing he should worry about be proud you got a good kid, his dad is younger than me LOL....
