My skunk#1's absolutely reeked of skunk, scared to open my front door to anyone I didn't know ...no shit or piss smell in the phenos I grew. Some of my nl5 x haze crosses had hints of piss(not amonia) but in nice way lol.Our skunk didn't smell anything like piss or shit. Smelled like skunk-nothing else. Not diesle or lemon or gas or piss or unicorn farts - just skunk only. I've been told the original skunk#1 doesn't smell very skunky but idk. I was never stupid enough to try to buy the seeds from the mail.

Its been my experience that finding the red hot muy fuego in seed from is really tough. I would spend $500 on a cut if I knew 100% it was a badass. Im not paying that much for a pack of seeds.

I bought 5 packs from Shoreline genetics one of those is the Shoreline BX but I haven't ran it yet. I heard people talk shit on shoreline but he was really cool on the phone so I supported his business. This was like 2 years ago been so busy haven't gotten to the beans yet hopefully my germination rate is still good when I finally do. The Crippy at Shoreline looked super hot that was actually the one I was most excited about.So it looks like there are already a few people on here growing Shoreline Genetics. And I found this old thread you guys might want to look at. Seems like people were having this same discussion 10 years ago, lol

It seems to be the case that rks is a trait that can be lost with time. Especially in artificial conditions... What is a Baba?Just throwing this out there as it relates to the RKS. Back in the late 80's through the 90's, where I was, not a lot of people cared as much about "what" something actually was, it was more about "where can I get that stuff that smells like like that". I don't care what it costs, or what it is, just get me some.
We had plenty of packs come through that as soon as you opened them they reeked out the block, smelled just like a skunk. Thank you Dead Head connects.
Fast forward to 2020's and what I know now compared to then, I think the early "skunks", late 80's, came from the parent of the NL line and the 90's "skunks" were from NL 1-5.
That stuff was just so different from what was available back then, in the power, and the aroma, and the taste compared to everything else we had access to back then.
I truly wish people understood what it is to have the genetics they have access to now, no exaggeration, it cost some people all they had, I for one do not take that lightly even if I can get seeds now with a click of the mouse button.
I do not think the genetics are gone, more the formula for the crosses and the markers for the correct plants in the gene pools. Some simple step is missing, something just as simple as seed from the original dirt prayed over by a Baba.

The cut I have has some skunkiness... It's Zkittlez x Hindu Kush though (Z3)... But it also very much tastes and smells like a freshly opened bag of the candy... It's delicious... The high is pretty basic however.I haven't. Is it skunky? Or does it smell like skittles lol.
Right on man. I have similar projects going now.So am on a project to recreate the skunk. Am running the balkhi afgani, and columbian gold for the summer run. Will cross them for the first round. But my best news is, I run Acapulco gold alot, from bodhi, and found a pheno, that I've seen before, but never got seeds. But this round, I found her AGAIN! And got some seeds!! I call her the dankapulco pheno. Shes dank! She isnt as much the Carmel that is on the other phenos. Less sweet. She is more acrid. That dankness in fuels that makes us choke. This is the pheno. So excited for the last round of my skunk project!
