Same here, mendel. I curse the lowers most of the time...and they ARE a bitch to take down.... but by the same TOKEn.... holy Mother of Bob do they make nice hash....

The freaker here for me is chopping up most of the tops for hash. In years past...EVERY morsel would have been trimmed to perfection for da market. My how things can change (for the better, really...'cus it's all for me....but I'd be lying of I said I didn't miss the old days when folks had balls and pounds were 5K/up)

I'm paying now for not trimming up these plants.... but like you...we're just gonna keep truckin through it 'cus we know we're gonna be high as fuck all damn year from this one go around...

best of luck finishin up...

Thanks for the well wishes scoop, were gonna give finishing up a big try this week.

We have a motto that pertains to pricing and volume....'when the price is down grow more'

This is the largest harvest I've ever pulled off..... yet...it does little for me (financially) without the connections I once had. It's taken me a few years to come to grips with all of it...but then again...it IS nice to have these monsters right out in the garden...basically in plain sight. No nightmares...no fear of losing the house....and thankfully..at this point in my life...no need for the game or the cash it brings....especially for the pricing of the units today. For me..the cash -in-return today isn't worth the time it takes me to trim it/dry it/package it/fuck with it. Good to hear you are still hammering away and it is still working for you though.....

I'd love to weight this take to "know"....but that too is a thing of the past here. Guessin 2 pounds per plant + the trim. So far I have 65 big zips full in the freezer and we are only 1/3 of the way into it.....

Gonna be (am) sick of it.....and I'm guessing I'll be sick of running hash buckets by the time it's all said and done as well.... but things could easily be worse.... heehee

The wife & I trimmed a couple of baskets. The source of my clones came by to see how close everything is to finishing. He is a gruff introvert- guerrilla grower from way back. He said, "I need to give you a hug. Man, you killed it!" We don't hug, not even bro hug. I was shocked, but I realized he was happy to see his babies all grown up. He brought his loupe, and we looked them all over. The gorilla glue #4... Is actually "gorilla goo", and doesn't make a full cola. It makes a lot, just not in a typical cola. Either way, it has plenty of milky trichs, and should be done in a week.
The rest is mostly milky, and some amber. Except for the sativa, that is. It'll have to get tough, because it may go into November.
Cured pork chops for the grill, and plan to trim at the clone source's garden today.

It's crazy how the temps can fluctuate at this time of year. 25F yesterday AM....50F this AM. There's just no reading/predicting it...

Had a bit of a slacker day yesterday. (Yes, we are sick of it already...LOL) We trimmed fans/browning leaves off in the field...but neither of us could really get (high enough) to get into it so we didn't take anything down, per se'. We ended up revamping the plastic cover and making one, large room (dropping a heater in the process) and will keep making it smaller as we take plants down.

Gonna give it a big push today.... and one of these days we'll actually be finished.

Went to a friend's garden to trim, yesterday. He has clones from the same mothers as mine. His GSC is the same as mine, but the gorilla goo is darker green. Also tied up differently, his came out taller & narrow... But the buds didn't fill in for him, either.
Today, we'll chop some of mine. My friends are more knowledgeable, so they'll help me decide what's ready.
Another friend needs to put some together, by Saturday. His bills are piling up, and he's found an outlet. He has enough, but it'll have to dry fast.

Another marathon day yesterday. Started at 9AM....quit at 9:30 PM. Clip.... fuckin clip, clip, clip....

We're basically down to one plant @ this point. (other than the YUUUGE Cherry Slyder) Still have some quick-to-(hash) trim lowers on #2....but it will be short work. The last plant is partially field trimmed as well.

One freezer is completely packed with pound zips full of bud trim. (65 bags or so) Any bud that is spongy hits the bag...
We are basically just saving the terminus bud on every branch that stuck up in the Sun. The rest...chop, chop. What a trip. (though it does feel freeing to not be tied to the market...it still feels weird to cut up all of this ganja)

Such if life. Fuckin weird.

My kiddie washers showed up yesterday. Definitely the exact same thing as the Bubble Magic machine. May vary some from the Bubblenow unit...but for $62 vs. $225....I think we can live without a pump to drain it....which is the only difference I can see. Like I said..I bought 2 for less than 1/2 the price they wanted for one. Pretty damn ridiculous. Like the GH's at Farmtek....put it in the "Cannabis Growing" section and charge 4X what it is worth....cus yeah....EVERYBODY who grows pot has spare cash they don't need...and they all like to spend 4X what items are worth... uhhhummm. I remember those days...they aren't here now though....

Back to 32F this AM......... dunno what yesterday was about @ 50F....

More coffee and a hash bowl or two and we're back at it............ 7 th day.....and I'm ready to do something else!

Definitely gotta find a strain with a better leaf to bud ratio for next season. (or something viable to do with all of this leaf)

some kinda fun.........some kinda fun.....

Started trimming a week or so ago... tired of it but it's a blessing. Lot's of big buds going into the bubble bag can... going to be lots of hash and butter for cookies this harvest.

Real happy with the harvest so far... dense nugs that sound like a golf ball when dropped to the table. Like they were dipped in goo...

Ahhhh...so I'm not the only nut chopping up good bud for hash! Sounds good stiffneck.

Now if we could only sell the leaves...we'd be rich....

We are chopping stumps in the morning. I ought to have the space disked with the john deere before the sun goes down.

Im glad its over, time for a week or so off. We may go down to lake texoma for some blue cat fishing. I still have to get my deer for freezer meat as well.

Its sure nice to have fresh weed to smoke.

Heavy rains expected after midnight. We took first cut of original amnesia, LSD, sweet 710 cheese, 707 headband and bubba kush. All of the buds taken were ready with full milky white trichs with some amber starting, dense buds.
Left behind without cutting are some loud dream, almost ready, some original amnesia, pineapple chunk, not even close, but very pretty, and some blue dream, still bright white pistils growing thru whatever weather is thrown its way.
The yields on some of the plants are crazy good for a mom and pop grow. Having been disappointed on last years dismal grow attempt I may be guilty of a little over compensating on this years grow.
Bubba and headband were grown crammed into each other. Bubba took the high ground, headband the low ground. I left a helluva lot of bud behind for the second cut after taking 54 gallons each of bubba and headband. Prime, hard dense large flower tops, what a treat. Made for a full utv load just for these two plants.
Tomorrow we start to trim. Blue Cheese by Dina fem has been drying 7 days tomorrow. The humidity was staying in the sixties so I started burning a wood fire out in the living room and now humidity is 58 in the drying room. It's just a bedroom and a wood stove so I will be happy with these results.
The bedroom is now full and the garage has several strings already full.
Lots of line is still available in case the rain damages any remaining bud.
We battened down the hatches so to speak. We know you are all wishing us well coming thru this storm as we wish for all of you.
Thanks for reading. Bud
