Thanx for that :)
I'm thinking my Jack herer x is very sativa, being very visually stoned, and bumping off walls, unbalanced.... i could be wrong, still learning and waiting for my books on 'cannabis indica' :) & 'Cannabis sativa'

Thanx for that :)
I'm thinking my Jack herer x is very sativa, be Jack Herer is The cream of the crop and perhaps the most exquisite ganja you will ever encounter; this strain ranks as the most awarded variety in the history of harvest festivals. Nine awards and counting would be the pinnacle of recognition for any strain, yet Jack Herer manages to go a step further and bears the distinction of being distributed under prescription by Dutch pharmacies as a recognised variety of medicinal-grade cannabis. Sensi’s champagne of strains is named in honour of Jack Herer, author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes. Through tireless activism and his landmark book, Jack Herer can take most of the credit for reminding the world that cannabis in all its forms has always been one of humankind’s most valuable resources, and that we can literally save the planet with hemp! The sublime blend of tropical Sativa high and monstrous Indica resin production captured in Jack Herer must be seen and sampled to be believed. At their peak, buds are so thickly smothered with clear trichomes that they appear sugar-frosted or sparkling with dew-drops. This crystal-coating extends to spear-leaves, fan leaves and even to Jack’s stems and stalks. Plants from cannabis seeds show favourable variation, due to Jack Herer’s complex background and delicate balance right at the cusp of Sativa and Indica. Enhanced features from both sides of the family are strongly evident and are expressed in different combinations, allowing growers to select mother plants tailored to their circumstances and tastes. Three of Jack’s four main phenotypes are heavily Sativa-influenced while the fourth has a growth pattern leaning towards Indica - fast-flowering and relatively compact with a dense, expansive, rounded bud structure that’s suited to cash-cropping. Jack’s Sativa phenotypes can also produce a good per-metre or per-plant yield when cultivated skilfully, though it is rare for these crops to be sold commercially. Most growers who have watched their succulent, super-sized calyxes swell and mature will be hesitant to sell such buds, and the best Jack Herer is often passed around a select circle of friends - an example of one of those things that money just can’t buy. The trait common to all Jack Herer phenotypes is a dazzling double-edged potency - a stratospheric cerebral high underpinned by a breathtaking body-buzz with seismic power. Smokers should be prepared to feel the earth shake beneath their feet - which can be a very pleasant feeling when your head is firmly in the cloudsing very visually stoned, and bumping off walls, unbalanced.... i could be wrong, still learning and waiting for my books on 'cannabis indica' :) & 'Cannabis sativa'
your correct jack is mostly sativa . here is the sensi seeds write up..........sorry got a little fed up somehow but you get the jist of it and them books are cool but they only list one strain from 100 dif breeders.. more like good coffee table books than strain knowledge unless that one strain your looking for is in it......peace soser

I love the racing stripes the Durban gets up the main stalk- tell tale durban attribute!

I still remember the first time I smoked that Durb... hadn't smoked in a couple weeks, took a few knocks and almost got into a fight that night because I just couldn't filter my words before they fell out of my mouth, and I angered some dudes when I told them to come to terms with their latent homosexual traits... hahaha ... a few days later came to discover that a good friend of mine was responsible for growing the flowers I had when I came to share some with him- never even knew he been growing for years... Old timers keep their mouths SHUT!

I smoked Durban every day non stop for over two years and never built a tolerance, she is special! I keep telling my partner that she is tired, (or our mom is anyway) but he can't tolerate the idea- he's been growing it 5 years now, just won't let it go...

Dank Sinatra? Never heard of it but I want to know more after reading about it!!!

well germed 5 yesterday and two small tales are out this morning so thinking they should be good to go by tomorrow - so i will be smoking my first in about 120-130 days damn that seems far off, but as we know the older you get, the faster time goes by...... NT, I again thank you for your kindness as I can not go to a disp and try whatever i want..... its pretty much grow it and smoke it around here , and if you do know someone with good pot around here , they all call it kush or don't know what it is at all - that is the other negative thing about mj not being considered medicine in all states ......MUCH RESPECT .......soser

Thanx for that write up :) man, it does seem a little like mine, mine could pass for straight jack herer :) I definitely get the heady buzz and the couchlock indica stone, it's almost hallucinogenic.
I just wanted the books for the different indica photos / sativa photos, and to learn about characteristics/climates things like that really, to a point i think it's possible to judge the kind of climate your plant will like.. the better the climate the better quality erb right? consistent, not too hot, not too cold, not varying temps between day and night...... I've spent alot more time worrying about my climate than nutrients thats for sure. Is that good info or bad?

the books will not really give you much info on growing the strains , they are cool books but more for entertainment value and pictures , most of the strains in there you will never get anyway.... Climate does play a part IMO but its good to have temp swings of at least ten degree's between light off and on , thats what brings out your colors in strains and I have actually had runs during the summer where lights off temps were higher than on.... with no ill effects , maybe less yield but that could be a number of things basically you just want to mimic outside as much as possible being plant's natural habitat is outdoors... hence fans - wind light - sun , just try not to go higher than 90% - hope this helps ....peace soser

Durban Poison is a pure African sativa. The leaves say it all. This is an exceptional pheno I'm running. . .I'm surprised I don't see more crosses with it.

Took a photo of Fried Banana Kush #1. Sure hope it's a girl. Picture perfect plant, and developing a nice aroma.

Interesting was under the impression that hermie plant's were either because of grower error's , fem seeds or breeder issue's was not aware it was a strain related issue ?? anyone with thoughts .... if outwest don't mind but been he is growing Durban also might be on topic .....

Yes those things play a part in herms aswell but not the only reason plants herm

If durb is hermie prone, it is only with significant stress, over the years the only time I ever saw S1 from durb is when we had a significant light leak for several days before detecting it. Certainly not out of the question though, but since I haven't tried breeding with it I can't speak to the stability of its progeny.

well 4 of 5 are up and if one turns male , I am going to cross (pollen chuck ) it with something.... providing your ok with it bro.... respect soser

While it is likely that those seeds are mostly DPs1, it is also quite likely that there are going to be some seeds that were created by errant pollen of 1 or all of either Willie Nelson, Super Blueberry, Tangerine Haze, Blue Afghan... I think that's all that was in that room...
If one turns out male I'd stress test it in several ways to check for stability... But personally I wouldn't breed with S1 stock, nor do I recommend it. In fact I'd stress any of them you might decide to keep, just to be sure you can trust her.

A lot of people report great things from s1, but since I currently rely on the $ generated from my garden, and am fortunate to live in an area where I enjoy relatively open access to a plethora of fine genetics, I personally prefer not to risk running them for fear they'll jack a room and make it any % less valuable than it would have been otherwise. I have the same general feelings toward feminized genetics- so I'm obviously biased

Yea anyway who am i kidding i'm along way away from ever being able to breed anything plus with the limited space and all the beans I have I will just flower them out and hope for a winner..... no worries plus legality would stop me from popping 100's a beans for a keeper .... its the thought that matter's in my book NT, thanks and we shall see what the first five produce... Much Respect brotha.... soser
