What’s coco mixture?

I’m using a higher perlite to coco ratio

seems almost impossible to overwater my revegged clones

It’s about 70/30 coco/perlite

If you have your environmentals in check, good watering habits, balanced fertilzer and good genetics. You wont run into many problems that aren't intuitively solved.

Coco does hold a fuck ton of water, and some air, better than soil though.

I got some cups that are 100/0 or 90/10 perlite/coco then some that are 70/30 and some 50/50 perlite/coco

@Jakecan where are you now that I’m having issues? You are the one who sold me this stuff so tell me why your product isn’t working.

Maybe keep it simple next time. Cocoloco or ffof and a bottle of bloom or dry amendments.

You definitely should be watering at least twice a day with that coco/perlite mix. I would bet money your having salt buildup along with lockouts from the coco drying out too much. I can’t recommend mega crop or jacks enough for nutrients. If the top layer of coco changes to all light brown then it’s too dry.

I was looking at Jacks. How does it do with hard tap water with high ph? Would it work with that and coco?

I'm using Jack's 5-12-26 (321) with coco and it's working great but i'm using RO. Jack's also has a 1 part formula for tap water but I guess it really depends on what's actually in your tap water. Shoot them an email an ask, they're usually pretty helpful with suggestions.

What's the EC of your tap water? Do you have a water report/analysis?

Awesome I’ll look into that. I’m not sure my EC but a paper strip showed over 350ppm. Here’s a snapshot of the report if it helps.

Yes it should work just fine with hard water. And works great in coco.

I use a HLG 320 LED and have had to be careful with my plants.
What’s interesting is the Photone app was quite accurate on my old IPhone 11. However I recently got a new iPhone 13 and things are way off. I tested recently and thought my readings were low. So I went to the local grow shop and tested it alongside a very nice meter….I think it was an Apogee. Anyway, my readings were anywhere from 30-40% low. The Apogee was reading 900ppfd and I was showing 590-600. We tried several lights at different intensities and distances…..all the same.
