So G just a heads up, stay on top of trimming your mom's back. Aspeshaly things that stretch like GG#4, SFV, and you get the idea. And don't be afeared to chop off some of the bottom of the root ball and replant deeper. Training when young is key.
Like you have already stated you want to keep them healthy but growing just as slow as possible. I think if you could keep the temp in the low 60s to hi 50s would be of benefit also.

No time to stop so we floated and fried up cheeseburgers..
And man OH OH OH man were they good.....

Talked with long time guide. showed him pic..That fish is full as can be and still eating..
Just is amazing the underwater insect population in this river...Especially all the hatches and eggs currently from late fall Brown trout spawn, colder water as well does not effect hatches at all
She took a size 20 mayhem zebra midge.
Black and white with white tuff on top the size of a small ant. Must use really supple thin leader material fluorocarbon much more natural underwater drift...
Its a marvel how the fish can see and differentiate the insects that are hatching.
Can be casting a zebra midge black and white..nothing, tie on a red and white...BAM!!!!! Fish on..
I just love the challenge, the cast, the drift, the indication, the hook set, the feeling of the rod twitching and controlling the drag, perfect rod tension so hook does not pop out, let em run also perfect rod tension, something that cannot be taught, its feel and experience...
today Honey do's and tender togetherness..lol...Tomorrow...
FISHON!!!!!!!
Coffee and morning bake rant....

@Thejoeybrown
Hey some of old haunts in your hood..
Oasis, Alpine inn, Dutch goose, the trifecta. Would deink and eat at all 3 same day, Goose famous for develed eggs and steam beer.
Saddle room, triple Tank and tonics, seldom cut off.
Had a gathering at the Harrys houfbrau with friends that went back 52 years on our years on our last visit.
I remember Woodside road one lane each direction with a huge ditch in the middle..
I remember when 280 was built. would sneak into crtstal springs Res and fish. Pulgas water temple could jump into and float all the way to res.
Went to Henry ford, Selby lane Redemmer Lutheran, Woodside high..
Woodside bowl long gone met Neil young there once bowling.
Blows my mind all the people and cost of living. how in the world do folks make enough to make a living...
Those were the days for sure...

Hell ya brotha! Ya the cost of living is outrageous. I probably wouldn’t be here still if we didn’t get such a good deal on our house. I do love it here but I can’t wait till the kids are older and we can think about moving somewhere with more space.
I have family in Cody Wyoming and I love it there. Also my father in law is moving back to his hometown Klamath Falls Oregon and man would I love to live out there. All in due time. I’m putting my work in now so in 15 years or so I can plant my stake somewhere where I can grow my veggies and herb. Play with my dogs. Fish. Hunt. Build things.

I hear ya there bro. I try to do all I can now and keep trying to work toward working for myself. I know it will take time but I put the time and work in. Just gotta find that balance. Keep working toward a goal instead of just getting trapped in the weekly check.
