Had a friend that had a auto that looked like that. Worst case of thirps and mites I ever seen
Go by the trichs on the calyx not the leaves. I don't think it's close to ready.Day 60 of flowering. She’s ROUGH. Hardly any leaves left and most are all yellow. Watered her a little extra a few days ago. Will again water extra heavy tomorrow to make sure she’s pretty well flushed.
Took a few samples and quick dried it. Not that great...but it was a low down airy uncured bud. Hoping the big colas are denser closer to the tops.
I did want to say though that I’ve rigged up a nice system to use my 30x/40x/60x magnifier. I taped it to a microphone stand and adjust it over the top of the sample. I even managed to snap a few nice clear pics with my phone by carefully focusing it above the magnifier. It’s looking 50/50 clear/milky I’d say. It’s close. Pistils are drying up and withdrawing. Either way I’m chopping it in 3-5 days.

Those zoomed in pics are sugar leafsNot looking at leaves. Looking at the tops of buds. Unfortunately it is the top...the very tops are usually immature as that’s where a lot of new calyx’s never stop appearing.
Anyhow, I could go out to day 70...not sure much will happen...the plant has basically zero green leaves now except a bunch of small green water leaves.
Counting from switch to 12/12, its still just a guide though, lots of factors will effect how quickly a strain ripens.Something I’d like to ask. Since I’m relatively new and just returning to growing...
When people talk about flowering cycle length. 8 weeks, 9 weeks, 70 days etc...are they talking about the first day they went 12/12 to present or are they starting the time count from when the budlets actually appear?

I always wanted to experiment with ethylene... Maybe one day I will have enough space and plants to see the effects. I know ethylene speeds up ripening. Now what I don't know is what are the negative effects when doing so with cannabis. Can you ripen trichs to reach the milky high thca that we desire? Does it have any effect on thca content in doing so? I may just snip a low unripe bud next time and stick in in a paper bag with a rule banana to test... Think it may be beneficial to know in circumstances like this.right...I get that. It’s everything to do with genetics and environment. Lemme ask this...do plant stresses like over or under feedings or deficiencies slow down the ripening time? Or is it generally just yield and/or potency mostly affected?
They do, and its all of the above. I'm super nerdy so when I'm growing I think of my plants as like characters in an rpg, they each have unique stats and only so much health, all of which can be jeopardized by one wrong move. Air pump failed and was not replaced for 12hrs
-10 to yield
-10 to thc
+5 delay to harvest
Status Effect Gained: Growers anxiety, second guess everything you do to the plants for the next 5 days.
That's what I do to Tomatoes near the end of the season LOL paper bag em and put them in a dark cool room, most of them continue to ripenI always wanted to experiment with ethylene...
