Been a client for 5 years and never knew about their farm. They were renting a large house in Valley Center and I do a lot of work for the property management company. Then a year ago I inspected a million dollar home before they bought it. Sits on a hill overlooking the valley toward Mt. Palomar. Beautiful.
Now I've got the gate code for the farm, with a pond, and large mouth bass.

Last night I installed a new water heater in a trailer where a couple of his utility people live and today installed a pressure regulator. He said one of the guys eats rattlers and rabbits. I'd like to party with him!
So anyways, all survived the cold

Going to order some electronic pest repellers. I can't seem to catch or poision them all. They've moved into the garage as well. Bastards.

Another funeral tomorrow. A friends mom passed Mon. Watching women cry isn't a fun time. I'd rather stay home and plant something, anything. Such is life. So I probably won't be around much until Sunday and catch up with what's ya all been doin'.

Day after Christmas I was moving pallets, slipped and fell and messed up my right hand and wrist. Couldn't even hold my phone for a week. Still hurts pretty bad and very difficult to type although the swelling has gone down.
Plants doing great, getting close to harvest for these 3.
All for now, very painful.

Fun getting old. 20 years ago I wouldn't have missed any work. 2 weeks so far and gotta get back to it Monday. The first time I bang my hand/wrist I'm gonna fill the curse jar.
I can see three outside/greenhouse harvests a year. Planting in Feb/march, harvest July/Aug. Plant April-June harvest Sept/Oct and plant July-Sept a Jan/Feb harvest.
The mid year July harvest was okay, not great and I gave them 13+ weeks in flower. Frosty but smaller buds.
Fall harvest was increadible. Fat buds coated in trichomes. All seedy but very good.
Winter harvest has yet to happen.
These 3 were started Aug 25 in the small greenhouse with added LED lights for 16/8.
Nov 1 plants placed outside for some 11/13. 9 1/2 weeks since flip.
All grown in 1/2 and 1 gal pots of coco coir. MasterBlend nutes backing off the calcium to half strength the past month.

Beautiful but little swelling as yet. We've been experiencing 30-40 degree Fahrenheit daily swings.
I'm guessing at least another month to go. This year I'll plant mid July, mainlined to 8 tops and shoot for a Christmas/New Year harvest.
Got 2 more sisters
The top one is very nice but was slower growing and the bottom threw some balls 2 months ago. Both will produce some good smoke/caps/tincture/vape juice.
The boys
Going to polinate a few lower branches on those females outside. Males are just as beautiful and equally interesting imho.
Had to lower the shelf in the big greenhouse.
Next set of lettuce
Purple green beans
Tomatoes
Broccoli and Brussels sprouts
Been keeping the rats/mice at bay with electronic devices in the little greenhouse and garage (no electricity to the big greenhouse yet). Added tootsie rolls to traps and caught a dozen in 2 days in the garage.

It sucked pretty hard not being able to use my right hand since I'm right handed. Tried to hold my phone and type left handed and no, just no. Took forever to type a few words. Still hurts but nothing like it did and other than keeping it wrapped no more ice/heat treatments. Good to be back!Glad you're feeling better good to see you back!

Oh yeah. I'll be as easy on it as I can but with what I do it will be difficult. Plan is to ice nightly as needed and take extra tincture daily. I was out there several times a day watering, left handed. Normally I give them 16-18 oz first watering and then 12-14 every 3-4 hrs. Took too much time one handed so I just used the gallon bottle and quesstimated.Ice that hand after workin keep the swelling down! Advil on a reg works .

Those dam injuries take longer and longer to heal from and re-injury on parts like wrists and hands in with your job is inevitable, soon as you think your getting better fkin wham if you're anything like me I kept hurting my wrist I broke playing ball in my 20's, 67 now and just twisting it I can feel the spot.Oh yeah. They're all gophers, F4. The male on the left is a sativa leaner. Looked female with all the hairs then woke up one morning and balls everywhere. Getting lots of pollen. Going to do a few lower branches tonight on the best females and save some for crosses on the autos. Can't wait to produce Chemgopher Autos. Couple years, give or take. I'll keep any auto males this spring for crossing back. I have no idea the strain, friend of a friend been growing for a couple years and he hadn't a clue. Not bad smoke but not strong. Crossing in the gopher should give it a kick.
This is some serious smoke and I'm down to my last oz. Haven't purchased since mid last year and still enjoying this stuff.

Took a couple lower branches and will continue to clip a few off each week. They should have been trimmed sooner but glad they were left.

Don’t give up on coco ! Coco rocks and you can reuse it, only thing I would say is your doing it in too small of a pot for final stage ( if it was me 5-7 gal, fuck small pots even coco) and make sure when sure before you upppot the pot into the final pot it has 2-3 stages before that for the roots to map and get lots of them.
your a smart dude , I was just giving ya my input . Most dudes do the smaller pots but Inless auto irrigation I really like bigger pots vs smaller

Si! Sold on coco and was thinking the same. Also sold on mainline topping. 8 tops are killer on a 3' plant. 16 on a 5 footer this summer/fall should produce enough to make me extremely happy.great updates and awesome greenhouse bro

This year will be my last growing in soil, depending on how they turn out. Getting ready
2 1/2 months to go and I will be ready. Got some GDP's and some possible Big Buds i want to see how big I can get 'em. But don't worry, I'll do some of each in coco.
Look at the color on that GDP.
6 weeks old and first topping last week. Slugs/snails are back.
The other one.
Less color in leaves but main leaf stems are red. These are in my little greenhouse with LED light 4am-8pm and sunshine when it's out. They are not growing near as quickly as those grown in warmer temps but these are growing. Going for 8 tops before flip. Another month or so, I hope.
Been itching to plant more. I wanted to get some heat mats and get rid of the mice/rats. No rodents for several weeks and no heat mats but getting warm days so might be time to start up again.
I built this box
a year ago this month to pop seeds. Grew cherry tomatoes, carrots and giant sunflowers in the box last summer. Cleaned it out Sunday and gathered pots. Have no idea why as I've got snap peas, brussels sprouts, broccoli and lettuce in Kratky bottles. Traditions die hard. Funny but I have no idea what to plant in all those pots and don't want to fill them with soil anyway. Really smart
This really is a weird year. After 50 years of soil gardening I don't wanna grow anything in soil. Hydro is calling my name!

I'm in no rush with these and they can sit on the pan for another month or so before I run out of room again. Which we all know I will. Nature of the beast. I've still got a thousand plus Chemgopher seeds and may just plant 50 in coco in the 4" pots. 1 month in the little greenhouse with 16/8 light then put 'em in the big greenhouse with 11/13 end of next month or even 12/12 in March. Maybe. Lot of work but that would be a cool sea of green in that greenhouse. Doubt if the girls in there will be ready for harvest by then so doubtful. It is a nice thought.
