Not wicked line but capillary mat those does the same.
The smaller your nutrient reservoir the more pH shifts you'll have
The wicking bottom feeding has allowed me to grow some great plants with intense feeding without burning.
Lifting the pot is a great way. If a pit is overfed, off it comes fir a little dry back.
When time for a refill, I close the res valve, vacuum most of the water and biofilm out, then turn back on the water and they get all fresh feed, properly pH'd, and off you go.
Remember, our systems are different but many of the basics are similar. Watch the pH. Good luck and always be wary of info from strangers. Watch as many videos is you can find. Take notes. Set up a Grow Journal.

well its refreshing to know i didnt waste money on my irrigation system lol BUT i i have questions lol

is your system a wick line set up? idk if all bottom feed systems are the same lol. and if it is, do you ever have a problem with the roots growing into your wick lines?

do you think it being wick fed messes with nutrients reaching the plant or do you think i should top feed nutrients and if not then how do you do your feed properly? do you let the entire system drain before you add more newts or do you just add more once the bag hits a certain amount of water.

do i use the bag lift method to know when to turn the system back on after filling one of the res pots?
I use a wicking system got Water Tray https://a.co/d/0dqlz8M9 works great if staying to damp u need to remove a wick, mine has had a 4 inch pad had to remove bottom leaves got water sog, also 1 time a week u should do a top watering feed, to wash salts back down, u would half to turn off empty plant trays then top water until u see a trickle at bottom then refill which restart the soil suction ( that caterpillar word) 😆 🤣 😂

its actually the bottom of the tent! i havent started using my irrigation system yet bcause i think the leaves need to reach the outside of my pot before that means the roots have gone down far enough? correct me if i am wrong if so lol. ill post a picture of the whole thing. its a base res that fills up and it has cotton wick ropes that cross over the top of the base that the pot sits on and the hoses will go outside the tent and connect to the main res thats a 15 gallon pot

a little view of how my LST is going so far. BUT i do have questions as to why my leaves look like that? to close to the light perhaps or is it because of the LST? and am i able to trim some shade leaves off eventually? they are blocking my lower nodes from getting any light lol but i dont wanna stall my plant by stressing it out

looking great,, just keep going as is,..
how many days inbetween watering?
they leaves started drooping on me last night
looking great,, just keep going as is,..
how many days inbetween watering?
theres been a few hiccups but I ended up reading tsp as tblsp when making my nutrient mix and I figured that out AFTER I watered so I ended up having to flush the entire plant to try and dilute the nutrients so I watered until run off and then it took about 6 days till I needed to water again. Last night I had noticed the leaves started to droop on me and my sub humidity on my sensor was low so I watered it again last night and they perked right up today but it was only 4 days from my last watering. so im hoping it will stay at a 4 day span for watering but im sure it will change as it goes. I still havent used the irrigation watering unit since ive gotten so much mixed feedback and I really dont want to kill my first plant

update! day 34 growing like a weed. am i eventually going to need to start trimming shade leaves off?

i normally don’t but some feel the need to,. the branches will grow through the leaves as the plant grows,
but if you want to only remove 2,..
