Hey sports fans!

Hey stone, gds, freakshow, and gorilla!

Gds-I got the 3 autofem Oils from dope-seeds.com, the fem Smurfberrys, Doublediesels, and Lowboldts are all Sagarmatha from Discountseedcompany, and the White Dwarfs are from theattitude!!

Hey ss, I was watchin' the weather the other night and I was worried for ya' when I saw a frost warning!!

Thanks fopr stoppin' by fellow stoners! potluvr
P.S. It is day 23 for my DD, I am tempted to start from scratch with another DD or the auto Oil (lowryder x Chemdog/Kush). But I am trying to be patient!! puff, puff, pass!

Hey ss!

Hey bro'! You are right about being patient...if mother nature wants them to flower, they will!! I was the same on my Low 2, all because the WR had flowered so fast. I realize now that stressing out just builds bad karma in my grow room, so I will chill out!! potluvr

Hey Potluvr looking good bro. Whats your opinion on the autos vs. regular? Always wondered how they compared. Isn't it bred with ruderalis to make it auto flower? Just wondering and thought you could fill me in.

Hey rural grow!

Yes that is correct, they are bred with ruderalis which makes them auto flower with no change in light schedule. I was a little skeptical at first, due to the crappy Lowryder 1, most of what I read about was negative. And the autos were in their first batches of seeds too, so now that more time has passed, I think the strains are becoming more stable, and stronger also (strains like AK 47, White Dwarfs, and White Russian). I like growing both autos and non-autos, and in the same tent now. I had thought that you should never go to 12/12 when in flower with autos, but I saw on another forum where the breeder Lowlife said that after 4-5 weeks of 24/7 (or 20/4), it wouldn't affect the yield or potency if you flipped to 12/12. So you can veg non-autos while the autos are blooming, and after that 4-5 week period you can switch the lights to 12/12 to start your non-autos flowering cycle. This will allow you to stagger your harvests, and when the autos finish flowering, you can then finish your non-autos with more light, as they don't have the autos in there anymore!

I think it is fun to try different auto strains and the growth is vigorous!! But I am definitely doing regular grows, as I think the super-potent strains like they sell here on the farm, have their place, too! potluvr

Thanks rural!

I am excited to try the auto crosses that are coming out, and I hope the potency keeps goin' up. Especially the autofem Oil (lowryder x Chemdog/Kush), and the Sagarmatha Lowboldt (lowryder x Yumboldt). One is a nice sativa dominant strain, while the other is 100% indica. They are both in my next run. I plan to grow two Lowboldts in my big tent, and while they are finishing up, I will veg two Blue Venoms and two Crimea Blues. In my small tent I will grow 2 autofem Oils. So this will be a fun time, and I will do smoke reports on all of 'em! I am checking on your grow now, too! potluvr

Hey rural grow!

I just checked on my auto DDiesel, and it grows more single-cola style as compared to NYCD which branches all over the place. I want the single colas in my tent, so this grow will really let me know how many I can grow at 1 time. You can see the bud sites developing along the stem!! potluvr

Hey Freakshow!!

The autos are really easy to grow, and when they start to flower, they literally explode (I was very skeptical when I grew my 1st auto, as I had heard and seen such crappy grow threads).
The Lowryder 1s were weak, low-potency plants. I have grown 4 auto grows to harvest (Lowryder 2, AK 47, and White Russian). The first few times I was growin' in less than optimal conditions i.e. I had an 8 plant drip set up that was way too small for proper root growth, I was using a 400 watt HPS and in a large tent with poor reflectivity, and I wasn't using any bloom boosting nutes, just base!! I averaged around 1/2 oz. off each plant the first few harvests, and was thinking I had maxed out as many threads out there had similar yields.
When I decided to try waterfarms, in a much smaller tent, and bloom boosters, and I was shocked when my White Russian yielded 3.8 oz and the Lowryder 2 was a little over 3 oz.! I had a 150 watt HPS over each plant. with 3-125 watt and 2-85 watt cfls for side lighting, and when they flowered, I was astonished! I was thinking that when I got autos that they are gonna stay small, I was so wrong. The WR grew to 18 inches, and the Low 2 22 inches. When I switched from Koolbloom to AN Overdrive, they blew up, freakishly. But the waterfarms were key as the roots enabled the autos to really pack on the weight. I felt bad because I was reading a grow thread on another forum a few years ago, and someone claimed they got 3 oz. off their Low 2, and someone caled bullshit, and I backed them. Was I wrong, or what?! potluvr

Update!

Farmers, come out and play!!

Big tent-The 2 White Dwarfs are startin' to take off!

Small tent-The Smurfberry is takin' off to, and the DDiesel is really recovered nicely with new, healthy top growth!

Pics-1st pic are 2 White Dwarfs, 2nd is Smurfberry, last is DDiesel.

dude i have never seen a plant as compact as that dd... that is just sick dude. that guy is going to be like a rock.

Hey farmers!!

Sup, rr and ss?! Thanks for stoppin' in. I am glad they are denser and not so branchy. Should make my harvest much easier. That is what the breeders pack said about the Smurfberry, too! Time will tell. I am thinking that maybe the auto strains released by Sagarmatha recently are more costly due to the time they spent to develop them (which should result in more stable plants). So when I see the plants growth matching the description, that makes me a happy camper! potluvr

P.S. Sorry about the crappy pic of the Smurfberry, I will move it out from under the HPS next pic takin' day!!

Hey punkadc!

Thanks punk, for your positive input! You are right, I worried at first about losing her, but it should flower any day now!! potluvr
