A1 Nutrients amino acids is definitely the nastiest smelling additive I've ever smelled.......
I use it regularly and will until I run out, which may be a while seeing as how Schwoop was very generous with the samples he had me test.
Many thank's Schwoop!
I find it to be a great product but man, the aroma of that stuff will nearly make you hurl..
The aroma is straight up rotten funky overripe, overheated garbage, puke, and some other indescribable nastiness
It's the only additive I never smell upon opening.....The first time I opened it, I took a whiff and nearly hurled
It will literally make you gag ,but it is some excellent amino's :) and my plants sure like it....

I left a bottle of a-1 in the sun and it straight exploded the nastiest smell ever!!! but it works great.

I have a half bottle of the AA..it always stunk...but I think it may have fermented...The bottle is all expanded from it....
Im glad the lid didn't blow off...and I think its even stinkyer now

I wasnt sure if I should even use ito_O..Think its ok?

I love it!!

boy that vital earth drops your ph to the floor tho - i use RO water and after adding the vital earth grow, it dropped my ph to the low 3's

the grow smells pretty strong too - it kinda reminds me of the general organics BioThrive Grow....

so you're using it and digging it?

i use there potting soil lightened with 20% coco and 10% pumice and its outstanding to say the least

ken I would probably use some of that Amino Acid on a male or some other plant I was gonna cull out and see how it goes...
If you get good results and no ill effects it's still probably good to use...

It's hard to believe that Amino Acid could actually smell any worse.....

One of my gallons of Amino Acid has always been stored indoors in a cool environment
but I've noticed it is all swollen and looks like it's about ready to burst.......

Thanks Waaynee! Good info:) ..I kept mine cool too. Good to know It just does that to the bottle! Crazy:confused:
I will try some on a unimportant plant 1st :)
After just touching that bottle...I can smell the stuff the rest of the day..
Have to shower after using it for sure :wtf:
I told my wife that stuff has to be the stinkiest stuff in the whole world..
One drop could ruin someones day....lol

ya know if u use kelp, it has plenty of aminos already in it - so this whole amino acid thing in a separate bottle makes no sense to me
Good to know...I do use kelp. And I rarely used this AA last year...but I hate for it to go to waste...

i hear ya - i do that shit too - i buy things and they sit lol

i get alotta samples from the grow shop too

but ive yet to hear anybody say that adding any of these amino supplements make any type of significant change

Well I upped the dose back up from 1ml to 2ml per gallon and the health of the leafs looked better for sure. So ill stick with with 2ml/gal from now on. Here's a pic of a blue dragon day 21. I took this pic just before the lights went out and you can see that every leaf is happy and erect as if they had just had 12 hours of sleep. You can see the extra health from the sea green.

i read somewhere on here (if i remember right), that mixing 2o% hard water helps with that stupid RO swing.

I just realized that sea green isn't organic! I'm sure if it was, it would say it somewhere on the label or website. That sucks for organic growers :banghead: They probably put pgr's in it, just kidding...but...you never know!

it's loaded with PGRs lol

nah from what i understand, its like 98% organic with only 2% pgrs lol

you mean 20% tap water added into my RO water???????????

exactly, so in simple words 1 gal of hard water to every 4 gals of RO will make ur water more stable.

i've been there with RO only i had no idea why, add some shit that dropps PH hard n it seems like there's no coming back u may as well dump it n start all over again or use a bunch of PH up.

gotcha- thanks for the simple words

yea that shit dropped me to the high 2s low 3s! took a shitload of ph up to come up...i dont like adding that much ph up - i dont like adjusting at all actually

yea X2 on the PH up, i'm ku with using PH down. it seems like it takes a lot of PH up to get, some where especially if u go in the 4's or lower.

I have high pH out of the well, so it works out. I also add other products that combat the swing a lil, no pH up here. Just alternate waterings with and without it to change the input pH. I also only use 10-15ml of the bloom per gallon...

thats a good idea - actually thats what i just did - i skipped it this time and im only using it at 5ml/gal...kinda like an additive rather than a base...but im only in veg preparing for the flip...haven't used the bloom yet - it smells god awful cant wait lol

i just wanted to use something that has seabird guano in it - ive been top-dressing with it at around week 2 with the pellets from roots organic and thats been working out pretty nice - i feel like it kicks out another level of flavor and smell

that stuff --->

the vital earth has a nice sweet odor to it from the seabird guano and it is really high quality fish bone meal! It stinks but is nothing compared to the toilet water from the ocean that Advanced calls Organic food...lol

i wouldn't call it "nice and sweet" lol - i already made a few friends take a whiff of it and they weren't happy i did lol

so are you doing a whole recipe with the vital earth as your base? or just the base? if you dont mind me asking....
