Last components arrived and I was able to finish the wiring this morning. This build has not been as trouble free as my last. 4 of my Boards from HLG arrived damaged, but since they are out of stock then I’ll see how they hold up. They all had on corner that was bent at a 90 deg angle. I bent back, tested and installed. Then one of my lcd displays only shows 20v and the numbers are all off that. I verified with a meter that it’s geting 34-37v from the power supply (made sure the potentiometer on the supply worked). Also made sure the potentiometer in line worked, everything works just the displayed value isn’t correct. Still tuned it with a meter for the tome being. Aside from that everything’s up and running. And the exterior are all 4000k and the middle is 2700k.

After some lst on a bunch and mainlined a few. Most still waiting..... in seeing excellent results under the quantum boards at the moment. On the side I have a few catnip and lemon mint cuttings taking root and a cutting off somthing (lol I forgot to mark it) that we will see if it takes root. Day 2 of germination of the white widow and blueberry kush. Not sure the germination time, but I rarely have seeds take longer than a week I suspect in the next 3 days to be placing them in soil. My Fam strain which needs a name typically germinates in 24-36 hours so I am spoiled for sure. What do other people use for their soil
Mixes ? I might try several variations this year and see what really works best (easiest)- two situations one outside in 15gal fabric bag containers and inside in 7g airpots. The airpots for inside. Any recommendations would be great. I have tried so many things over the years but am open to suggestions.

I should say that just about everything will go in 3 gal pots next. I transplant typically when the roots just start to reach the bottom of the container. It makes for easy removal and I can spread the roots gently as I place the plant in its new home. I find this stresses the plants little and allows for quick continuous root growth. I have used 7g fabric bags outside in the past and ave .5-1 per but i find the roots restricted and regular watering a must. Keeping things some what mobile is essential as the end of season can be abrupt and often they need to be taken inside just before cutting to reduce mold and rot. I run 100% organic typically so preventive measures are limited.

I just mix Fox Farms Ocean Forest, FF Happy Frog, and Perlite (40-40-20)..It is cheap here and easy to find..
I see a gnat or two each new bag, but that's ok if they don't get out of control. 9I treat the soil while still in the garage before bringing it indoors ) Captain Jacks Dead Bug Brew..

Some custom mixing. Starting pretty clean with a peat/verm/perm and organic garden soil. Makes for good control outside. Lots to do on the coming week. Had to move some of the babies over to the flower tent. Most of the outside work is done and look to get most of these moved soon. I started germination April 27, 23 days ago. How do they look considering in your opinions?

I picked up some of these “airpot” clones in the 7g, intending to use them inside but now I’m not sure as they are huge, but look pretty well made. I plan on doing a side by side with the same strain. Airpot 7g, fabric bag 7g, fabric bag 15g, plastic pot 15g. Doing several in each and while I have used the plastic pots and the 7g fiber bags in he past i like the idea of proving our for myself what works best. And by best I mean not just greatest yield but easiest to maintain. I plan on making a new post for 2017s outdoor season. I unfortunately had an electronic issue and lost everything before August.

Moved another 20 to three gal pots. I forgot to mention I have been prepping my soil with fish sh!t http://fishheadfarms.com/
As well as some other beneficial bacteria. I also have been hitting it with light dose of some rooting compounds. I totally misread the other day and over dosed. Little burning but everything should be fine. These will all be upgraded to their final containers shortly. I really wanted to do massive build ins but it’s going to have to wait till next year. These are 23 days from when seeds started germinating. All seeds where started at the same time. In these two photos.

I also had 2 white widow and 2 blueberry kush pop. I have one of each under 2700k, and 4000k respectively. Just want to see what noticeable changes in growth at early stages these have under quantum board only lighting.

Upgraded my air intake today with a cheap diy build. Just from scraps and an old ac. It’s not pretty, I’ll see how it works. If it over cools then I’ll put the blower on a controller.
