Continueing to work on the tents. Finished ScrOG net tonight, it has adjustable legs. Thinking about sending a couple to flower for fun, only one I know is female, so ScrOG net and unknown sex can be a huge pia....

Started work on a new clone machine. Need a few fittings and I can finish it up tomorrow. I may add an air stone but have not found the need with misters in the past. Just have to build the manifold and install the spayers....

I have these sprayers to use. The black and red ones look like the good 360 sprayers I had bought in he last, but we will see. The blues are a free item some one added at some point that have been sitting around. Does anyone have a rule of thumb, I just build it and then add a sprayer one at a time until I get the spread I want, what does everyone else do?

I sure was excited tonight when one of my special old fam strains that’s never been grown inside showed its sex. I had planned to try and ScrOG it but was hesitant due to combining it with fem plants.

Something doesn't look right, can't put my finger on it but the edges of your leaves look weird....kinda curled up on the serrations. Does everything look ok otherwise? I don't like to see the edges of leaves curling, once I had that and it ended up being russet mites but in you picture I can't really tell if there is a problem or not.

Are you concerned about putting them in with feminized plants cause one might turn out male?

I had nutrient issues at the start due to delayed post. No mites I’m pretty sure.

Yes I didn’t want to ScrOG and then find a male intertwined with females.

The sign functions as a movable plate to cover the hole anytime a plug is removed for root growth inspection.

So my veg tent runs great. I run an average of 74.7 deg f, 76 is the high and 72 the low. I have been prepping the new flower tent, and running tests to make sure I have everything good to go. I find that when the lights are close to full tilt, at 20” from the ScrOG netting I’m running at 79.5 (as high as 80.3 ) deg, and with the current cooling system feeding both tents, when the lights go off it drops to 69.6 - 70deg f. I know I would like to get the temp down a few deg durring lights on and not drop as much when they come on. Really these numbers down sound all that bad and I really want to throw a couple in and get them going.

Those temps are fine, with the led you can run em a bit hotter, especially in veg, mine goes up to 86 sometimes if I have the central air vent closed to that room,as long as you keep em watered and humidity right they will grow great.

Waiting for my microscope to peak some of my outdoor plants. Scared I might have a mite invasion. I already moved the three that show signs, and found one that hasn’t been fed in the male garden that looks like it may have the dreaded russet mites. Now I am seeing what could be the first indications on one of my indoor plants that I have been training to start flowing in the next week or so.

Thursday I should know. I already treated the male garden and three I know with a sulfer spray

I then went a head and did the rest of my outdoor garden with this as a preventive measure.

I’m ready with Neem if I find mites Thursday. While I don’t look forward to dealing with this pestilence, I would rather tackle it head on now. If my tent is effected then I will evacuate it. Treat everything that was in it, and sterilize the tents after a full bug bombing of the tents and air locks leading to them. If it’s not mites then I added an extra layer of prevention to my outdoor.

Thoughts? Has anyone used these products before? I know waiting is better typically, but from what I have ready and heard these are some of the worst to deal
With, and if it’s the case I’ll take them head on.

Also thinking of adding predatory insects. After everything is settled, what would or do you use? I have green houses going up and moving towards a large scaled high cbd hemp operation in the near future and want to ensure I have a good grip on dealing with these. If not now, eventually.

Loads of lst to get these ladies ready (well I know they are all female except for 4 of them). I’m about to let the four in the center go up, I want about 5 inches of height now and into the ScrOG they go. I’m thinking a week or so.

And I checked out some of the indoor and outdoor gardens. I didn’t see anything moving around on any of the leaves but I couldn’t be sure if I had killed the adults and just had eggs left on the outside. Inside had not been treated and no movers either, but again possible eggs? Going to get some glass slides today and increase the focus so I can get a better look. Here’s some shots under the scope

At any rate I treated the outside garden with neem, it’s been damp and I had hoped the rain would hold off, but it didn’t- so I will reapply in the next couple days. Inside I used some fruit and veg safe up to day of harvest 3 in 1. It’s basically like the bonide product above as far as active ingredients go. I didn’t just treat the plants in the tent. I removed them and treated them and let them dry out of the tent. I went through the tent and cleaned it all out, then sprayed alcohol and wiped everything down. Then I did it again. Then I sprayed and wiped all the pot coasters and everything else that would go back in. I wiped the plants pots (not air pots or fabric pots) and really made sure everything was clean. I decided rather than toss the clones as they have roots now, I gave them a spray as well. Why not see what happens...

So I have yet to find a moving creature. I’m thinking after scoping everything inside and out, I either killed the adults and will have to keep treating every 3 days for the next 9 to cover the life cycles or I never had them and it’s a ph thing. It may be time to invest in an RO unit, my ph does seem to drift up..? I took a bucket of water, and adjusted the ph and place a bubbler in it ( I mixed and rechecked before putting bubbler in it). I found it would drift up around 7.... now I did a skirt with soil and using 6.9 it dropped after soil mix to 6.6. I used soil again from the same plant and used 7.18 (hoping to see 6.5 in the slurry) and ended up with 7.1...? If they needed water today I would over feed and then check runnoff, somthing I have not yet done. It’s been 10 years since my last indoor grow and I had migrated away from soil to a flood and drain system. I have grown outside for an easy 20 years (missed a year here or there). I don’t know what it is, maybe too much information at my finger tips. I remember learning to grow out of the original marijuana bible. It was gods gift back in the day before the internet. Who else had their mother teach them the basics and the original bible to help them advance, and experience to get them to grow good yields. I never felt the need for expensive equipment and always settled with the basics for outside. My last hydro grow I automated as much as I could with what was available. I can say this, the game has changed, and I love it.

Finished cleaning the future flower ScrOG tent. Waiting to grab one more fan for the canopy and my motorized damper.

This way I can feed my veg garden with fresh air and use my controller to shut the damper (and add heat come winter) to the flower tent when it drops to 75. Then I should be able to control both tent temps. My veg should run 73-75 and my flower I think will run 75-80 min and max possibly as high as 83 until I upgrade the main floor ac unit. I think the temp range should be fine with the fresh cold intake, solid flow over the canopy and I have been told I can run higher temp with the leds...?

So I have never found a good top for my 5 gal clone machines. This time I made sure when I cut my holes they had the right diameter (outside of clones pots) to fit the 3 gal pot coasters. Cut one top off, super glue a few racks then run a stream of super glue on the inside so it makes a good seal. Not bad for under 2$, and it should help me keep the humidity where I want it for them.

What ya think? What do other people use? Does anyone read this? Off subject but I wish there was a read counter, so we could see if people are interested or if blogging/logging this here is a waste of time. I know lots of forums use this, then you could search for most active or most read quickly and easily. Just a thought as I puff off some of this almost year old outdoor.
