Good idea, you can somewhat tell from your number or likes but it's not a good reference for just views.

So I have never found a good top for my 5 gal clone machines. This time I made sure when I cut my holes they had the right diameter (outside of clones pots) to fit the 3 gal pot coasters. Cut one top off, super glue a few racks then run a stream of super glue on the inside so it makes a good seal. Not bad for under 2$, and it should help me keep the humidity where I want it for them.

What ya think? What do other people use? Does anyone read this? Off subject but I wish there was a read counter, so we could see if people are interested or if blogging/logging this here is a waste of time. I know lots of forums use this, then you could search for most active or most read quickly and easily. Just a thought as I puff off some of this almost year old outdoor.

I like your clone machine and top looks like it will work. I attempted cloning but failed, miserably. I know I need a better environment before I try again. Something similar to your five gallon bucket idea might work

I was thinking about what a pia it can be to take even a portable scope into the field and be able to look at multiple samples with out some tooling. So I decided to make somthing that I could either bring with me and the scope and use in the field, or just the tray, with inserts for glass slides (like a traditional microscope would use and slide covers. This would allow me to collect 8 samples, record easily, and bring back to the lab, if I didn’t want to do it on site. Or should also give me better quality viewing period. The material will be black on the exterior face, and white background under the glass slide. Then sample and glass slide cover goes over.... shooting from the hip but think it’s another good tool to have (and working Saturday morning for the man means getting some home projects done lmfao).

Four clones of the 8 clones are ready for transplant and have some solid roots. This is 13 days from taking cutting and placing in my home made cloner. I used clonex and hydro guard. I took 4 more clones of the blueberry kush- this time I pre dipped them in clonex rooting gel as well. Want to see if it improves root growth. The other 4 clones either have really small single root shoots or little nuns just starting I cleaned and changed the machine water. At this point I have more plants than I need, but it gives me the chance to experiment and play.

Transplanted one of my personal family strains to a 7gal air pruning pot from the 3 gal it was in, moved it as well as one other of my personal and one vanilla kush to the flower tent. My first time flowering under quantum boards but I have no doubts I will be impressed! These ladies where started germinating 51 days ago lol (April 27) so about 35-40 days since they popped. Lots of training and a couple hick ups getting my indoor flow back on, but I think I will over fill this canopy with these three and could prob just do the two in back, thighs? Will I run out of space?

To be honest I’m not sure. It goes back generations and has been crossed with other family friend strains to heardy it up over the years. I keep thinking I should have it tested, the genetics are not available on any market, this has been a close kept jewel, started in the 60s and passed down. If one of the few Jamaicans I was able to get in the deep mountains is made then I will look to cross it. This year I plan on doing several crosses and seeing what has the best results next year. It has some personal value obviously. One thing I really like is I have never had a hermie, and around 25% self divide into two main stalks from the start. The benefits to this are obvious and I hope to bring this gene out more and more

That’s what I though originally but didn’t want to set up another tent for it lol already have more going outside, but what the hell I’ll just see how overloaded it gets.

Veg tent currently running 2 blueberry kush feminized, 2 white widow feminized (four larger submitted ladies). I have 4 vanilla kush clones that have rooted and been transplanted along with 3 of my personal strain, all taken from the female I just started flowering. I had placed another three vanilla kush in the clone machine and just added water (I dipped these this time in gel) to the previous clonex. I ended up with a green slime build up and ph imbalance, they look like shit. I had some shit soil so I went ahead and tossed the three in it, if they grow I’ll just toss them outside for fun. They are hidden behind the other plants.

Back left is white widow, back right is blueberry kush.

Front left is blueberry kush, front right is white widow. All started at the same time.

Have you named your family strain yet? At want point does one get naming rights? I’d imagine if you cross strains with some random strains to create one that doesn’t exist yet....

I think I should have it’s genetics tested. I know there are a few companies that do that and show its relationship to other strains. I worry these are a dying breed. Unadulterated local crops that have yet to be mixed with new age hybrids. They have great branching and node devolopement along with a relatively high potency. They have become quite mold resistant, although I wished they finished earlier. I will cross it with the Jamaicans this year for a truly unique strain and then recross one way or the other depending on how things develop. I’d like to fully seed a plant and then share the seeds, knowing my personal family strain is touching soil all over the world

Very cool. I would look to cross it with something extremly hardy and mold resistant but that’s just the horticulturist in me. I would find a showy strain, something aesthetically pleasing. Most of the fun (IMO) is watching it grow. It’s such a long process, may as well watch something pretty :)

Finishing week 1 of flower. Need to do some serious defoliation, just watching the tips crest the ScrOG netting. Still running veg nutriants as I won’t have my flowering line for another week. They are looking super health at the moment, adding the liquid bone meal seemed to take care of tons of my nutrient issues, and I have stopped adjusting my ph as it seems to now settle between 6 and 6.5 with nutriants, further all my issues that I had been seeing have gone with these girls and I’m seeing pretty gorgeous growth.

Quantum Veg tent I uppotted - two blueberry kush and one white widow. I plan on maintaining for the next several runs and to be able to supply friends and family with cuttings these as mothers. With Legalized recreation use and grows coming into effect I know too many people looking to supply their own demand.

I’m seeing some great growth in the flower tent, I suspect I made these too bushy and once I get even spread I’ll defoliate big time

Day 17 of flower- Been about a week since my last update. These quantum boards are really bringing these girls to life. I finally got around to trimming and cleaning up under the ScrOG canopy. I still have more to clean up but I think these should more than fill out.
