a good amount of time as you can keep the biology going by keeping the tea perpetually going

you can take a cup and dilute into a new 5 gal bucket and feed a little mote molasses and they will repopulate.....over and over
just like growing with a mother and clones

So it's similar to a soil tea except.

The tea is just your reservoir?

no same as soil and you use a small amount in the res and it will circulate and populate all root zones
if the bennies are good like hydroguard they stay always and go to town helping the plants grow

same as soil just water as the media

@Wisher619 i recall reading somewhere that overtime generally even if it stays oxygenated usually one or two microbe species will dominate and eventually takeover. But I also would love to have a perpetual tea going. Any thoughts?
actually that is the very reason why say botanicare or mammoth p use only 1 bacteria....in tests it out competed all the rest

Doing some learning.... Figured i would post some tidbits of info i find interesting....

Speaking of beenies, copy from CAPS thread...

You may also use 1 part tea to 9 parts water/nute solution or you can even use full concentrate if you wish. You cannot over apply. If the bennies have nothing to do they die or go back in to spore state.

1.Battling fungus gnats..
Get a full face mask like this:

http://www.uline.com/Product/Detail...gclid=CKzusOyi8LsCFc5lfgodtVoAvg&gclsrc=aw.ds

Then get a p bomb:

http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/p...=2&zmap=1479&gclid=COOd8_ii8LsCFed0Qgodm2sArQ

These are foggers, but you can cut the tab off with a razor blade so that when you press down on the top the tab doesnt lock it up in the "on" position. Now you have basically an aeresol you can use at your leisure. When I had a FG infestation, I used a p bomb and a tyvek suit with the full face mask. I sprayed the "topsoil" of all my pots, and hit any flyers I saw with a blast of P.

Pretty much once and done. COupled with the foliar pack to kill the larvae and you will see almost 100% success overnight.
2. I have done battle with the flyers using a shop vac and just going from pot to pot.give em a bump and the flyers come right up and ssssslluuuurrrrppp, boom, done :) if i can kill off the larvae the rest is cake baby.

Why prior to adding the root packs? Wouldn't it make sense to adjust after you've added the last ingredient?
No. The packs will not change your pH. Imagine you are a microbe and a teaspoon full of pH down lands on you before it has a chance to be mixed up.

Always pH first, then add packs.

What I have been doing lately for my teas and when adding in packs is I use my existing nute solution as my base. This way it is already pH'd. I use this and brew a tea or add bennies and then I dump it back to the same res when done.

4.Sulfur will inhibit the growth of all fungi, so yes if you are doing sulfur burns you should wait a week so after using sulfer, and a week after using bennies to reapply sulfur.

5.www.ogbiowar.com use the coupon code farmer. :)
