The out of stock postings that get the most clicks get re-released. Yall know how this game works. I clicked the Nebula page on Paradise so many times they claim to be operational and growing Nebula again.

Maybe I'll document a story about how it's is or is not nebula. Seems that's all anyone cares about in this scene is stupid pointless stories.

I've given my experiences, take/opinions on it in this thread, a few others have too. There are a few different stories, legends around who had it, worked it, the way it made it's way east, west, to Holland and back, and who still has "it". Besides the whole smell thing, I found the leaves to be very unique and exotic looking, the way it was serrated, a very on point Sativa/Indica blend look, the buds were fluffy but large and wouldn't quit. It could grow huge in a greenhouse or outdoors, but also tamed in a closet.

Mine came from Neville's Seed Bank in 1988, and was identical to what I bought in around 1983. I grew and picked it early, middle, and late. It is imprinted on my brain like a cow gets branded. ;)

There are some really great people here worth sharing it, who would take loving care if the real true original genetics were shared. Cool people, Dead Heads who were there in the early days........fine, I'll give you my address..... ;)

I don't know if you've read the whole thread yet. I haven't grown in 30 years until now. I already know better than to set the bar high but I've ordered 6 or 7 versions of "Skunk #1" seeds, so far mostly from older, well-known, rather easily available seed banks. In my case I'm using my first grow now to run through those, hunt them, see if any come close enough and stand out, along with Big Bud and Northern Lights/Afghanis, and a few other old-school names......I'm all about breeding, heirlooms, landraces, so this run is really a springboard, a "get the rust off" , build a genetic foundation grow.

The seeds show all kinds of different expressions from same batches of seeds.
I bought Skunk seed from many different seed companies in 2000 and 2001
I bred with the stinkiest and earliest flowering males for many generations and mixed the genetics.
Skunk #1, Early Skunk, Super Skunk, Skunk3x2(?) amongst others.
I have a variety of different expressions that comes out.
I get a lot of ammonia expressions, but then, there's a unique soured corn silage aroma in some, that's my favorite
My guess is the original Skunk was Afghani x Columbian genetics.
The taller plants with large spears and little color change in fall is the high grade shit you all are looking for.
The shorter plants take after the Super Skunk version and is sweet tasting.
And I think I read somewhere the Skunk #1 is not prone to herm like other genetics.
It's a shame these genetics were almost lost to history.
It's all about the quality of the effects that makes flower "top shelf".
1/3 of old growers out there like me don't even know there's a Skunk extinction taking place. lol
I didn't till 2018 when I joined a couple forums.
It's out there, but you all are looking in the wrong places for it.

Not necessarily that the smaller plants are more sweet. In my line, my smaller plants tend to be more stinky. Almost opposite of what we been told about Skunk in the past.

I guess honestly, it's more like a hybrid really. It has lonnnngg reaching petioles. Really grows chunky hand grenades like a nice bubba. The outdoor petioles are easily 8-14 inches long, depending on the size of her.

I guess it would depend on those early breedings and where we got our breeding stock from.
This has been my experience with what I have.

Agreed go to bc it’s mostly sweet skunk, which I believe Sam was trying to breed out the skunk Inness in lieu of fruitiness long before Neville or drinkers or whoever else got near it - the. Reasons war on drugs hit you almost had to breed the skunk out of it if you were an indoor grower no carbon filter in the world is gonna tame a truly skunk skunk

About 2012, Attitude Seed Bank was giving away promotion seed with your orders from a popular seed bank, can't remember off the top of my head.
The flowers I grew from them looked a lot like your plant.
It was about the same time the autos were coming into market and there was a shift in what was popular.
How long have you been growing yours?

Most definitely as it also depends on the breeders selections for desired traits - I’m not a breeder but before I retired from my straight job - used top down methods at work all the time.

I understand the concepts and science of breeding so let me rephrase - I’m a hobby plant crosser as at this time I could hardly call myself a breeder And I’ll never sell beans - just trade or give them away.

I would guess you are right on the head with the original skunk genetics.

I highly doubt if anyone has original cuts of anything from years ago today. They just make shit up to gain followers and make money. If there is, you ain't gonna find it on IG or these forums.
Todays weed world has turned into a huge "clusterfuck".
I don't buy seed anymore. No need to. I have plenty of good ancestry before "GSC" began being bred into everything.

Yeah man fuck Cookies. I swear all that candy shit just ruined it. I remember back in HS and College when an 1/8th double bagged in your backpack would still skunk out the car. Impossible to hide. Those were the days LOL
