I agree about the sulphur. Brings out flavor too.

Damn straight! You know what you are doing!

Jan 4th!

Check out these pictures of the roots. A before and after shot. The first photo Dec 21 the second Jan 4th! This was crazy growth coming out of these pots. Before, in previous grows the roots got airpruned and never made a mass like this, however, I nerver used Jacks hydro ponic forumula before either....

I had one of these pop his head out of the soil last night. First organic attempt for me, so it's great to see your info on them and know they are pretty resilient. I'm a bit worried they're going to grow too much after I switch to flower, so I may play it conservatively and do a short veg, after seeing the kind of growth you're getting with them.

I hope this all goes well for you. There are some true gems to be found I believe in these seeds! There are a few phenos that are very, very, frosty! Look for a good amount of stretch as we know Jack is stretchy and so is Diesel.....plants will probably need support late in flower..

Jan 4th

Transfered! Finally some space to grow for these. Look at the damage up top on these poor plants from those T-5's. Keep in mind T-5's get hot and will burn your plants.... I knew that they would grow like crazy now with some room and recover very fast, especially with those crazy looking roots.. The plants had PM too at this point. I have no shame in showing you all my neglect in the hopes that you can learn to do things the right way...not my way....lol...I wanted to spray with my DM Zone treatment (like I normally do) but all the zone around town was the freaky blue shit with the weird floaty plastic bits and I didnt want to spray that on my plants........my greencure got water in the container and it turned all hard and nasty.....I still used it.

Manage your canopy, dont create a jungle like this.....I was too busy triming the mass of buds I had created my previous grow as seen in the bud shot(again not Sannie). I needed to take a few days off of work just to concentrate on the harvest however I didnt, like an idiot, and got caught with a massive pull, with only me to trim, dry, clean, and stuck at the same time with a busy as shit week at work. Manage your time people!!!! Top your plants!

hi snowblind
i made those sannies jack x dsd in 2009 they look as good as i have seen the mother had a chocolate smell when dryed look after her there are no more

Do you grow out your creation nowdays? Thanks for the hard work and great effort!

Jan 7

The plants are starting to recover from the past couple of weeks of neglect, except for the fact the PM was so bad, everything else was looking great. I cut the plants back a lot to remove the burned tips, leaves and foliage. This created lots of immediate branching. The plants were also way too big for the table. The light can only be raised so far and this was going to be a challenge....by the 7th of Jan, on the third day into flower, several plants were showing balls! No room for these males so easy to get rid of them. In fact 3 of the 5 plants would be male and cut down.......

Shots of a couple of the leaves of the two different females...two different phenos. Notice the PM spots.....also a shot of the plants growing so big that I had to take my light off of the light mover and mount the hood to the ceiling for the few extra inches.
I also unhooked my exhaust from the hood.....temps in the room are low as its winter in Cali.. I think Im going to use a closed system very soon in order to combat PM. I figure a clean sterile room in a closed environment will be the best I can do......

The plant on the left is a lone Flav female and yes its huge. Like crazy big. The main stalk is so thick! The second female Sannie is hard to see as itas behind the two plants in the front. There are actually three plants on the 4 by 4 table. I have lots of fans blowing so the leaves are at odd angles down low getting blown around. I want to stress that when healthy, the Sannie Jack F5 x Double Strawberry Diesel has perky leaves that will stand and reach for the light!

I also normally grow each plant with 4 big main colas! Thats it. Look at the crazy branching created by not pruning then pruning so late....ill post some bud shots....also keep your tables covered with panda plastic and strong metal clips (I got mine at Lowes). The plastic helps to retain moisture at the root zone between water cycles and also I hate algea.

Great photos and details bud! You are doing a good job and will easily bounce back from those minor mistakes... More importantly, you are learning from those mistakes and how to listen to your plants... :cool

Thanks Shady! Hope all is well with you. Always a pleasure to see your work here at the farm...People can learn by just seeing what you are doing and how/why you did it. Im hoping by just showing a few pictures, a few people can be helped in some way.

I ended up with two females out of five plants. One plant, the thinner leaved, seemingly more Jack leaning was not nearly as frosty as the other, thicker leaved Diesel leaning pheno. I culled this female due to PM issues. The level of difference in frost was amazing! It was like one plant had come from the frost factory and the other was just like average........

The crystal production was noticible in early flower on the other pheno. Here are some early bud shots from this plant that I kept for this run. Unfortunatly this resin pheno looks to not be a big yielder at all..at least not what I am used to....though quality looks great. There will be Diesel leaning phenos to be found that are both frosty and good/better yielding Im sure. This plant had a lot of stetch, even blasted right under a 1k hps, and not so much fill in. The Flav that I am growing beside it is filling in crazy style.

The smell is sweet and maybe of berries and softer red fruits perhaps so far. Sorry that I am not the best at taking pictures in the flower room. Let me know if anyone has any questions....

Please keep in mind that I have been spraying with both Green Cure and DMZ very often. The Green Cure in particular will burn your plants! It will take the crystals off and turn the pistils a dark brown so be careful. Without the spraying these plants would look amazing with shiny resin. Its a tribute to the genetic potential for resin production that there are any glands on the plant after the wicked PM treatments. Ill post some more pictures....

Great Job

Form your plants I would never know that you are suffering snowblindness, HaHa. Everything looks great, you might want to add some silica to your feed schedule(it helps plant fight off PM)

I never thought to try silica. I guess I can give it a shot. Im kinda of a no additives guy. Jacks Hydroponic formula all the way.....no booster no nothing. When the plants are fed a balenced diet of nutrients feeding on what they can actually uptake they literally explode with growth throughout their entire lifes cycle. It is called the wave and its hard to catch and ride until harvest time.

I will try silica if it help with PM it a quick minute so thank you for this valuable tip! Have a great day......

Pictures from this week of the buds. I was able to control the PM.

I found this pheno lanky with lots of stretch. Smaller buds, however, I did not give my best effort with the plant. I could get a greater yield if I ran this cut again. It is however, crazy covered with crystals. Lots and lots of frost everywhere.....

It is a 10 to 12 week strain! I have to cut the plant down now though.....after only 8 weeks or so. I have my Strawberry mix and StarDawg plants ready to come out of veg and I need to use this space. Time to clean up and move on......

Not too shabby my friend... I wonder if a PK boost at the right time would have helped the flower development... I'm still not up to speed on your nutrient profile... :thinking

In any event, I'm looking forward to your next round and I'm sure you will do a great job...
