Day 12 of 12/12

A few group shots:

Oh yea, I added bamboo sticks for each plant, anyone who followed my last grow will remember that they all fell over like halfway? something like that. I try not to make the same mistake twice ;)

(they are Gorilla taped to the posts)

Here are some closer/solo shots of some random girls ;)

Here is a looky at their stems, looks like they can support some weight :)

and finally the reason i'm tired and sore today lol. I transplanted 18 clones in 2 posts. Ill get pics of them next time, I was tired and didn't take many pics.

But here are 2 root pictures:

New_clones_roots.JPG

New_clones.JPG

I let my clones get big in my homemade cloners (i have 3 70 unit cloners) and when the roots got big and touched the bottom, I put the roots in pots with bottoms so their roots would be held up and separate from each other while they got bigger. their root systems are all bigger than the other girls at their transplant.

I think I'm going to bring in 2 more posts and separate the 18 into 4 posts (I also have a few more clones i could transplant if i wanted to also) so I might do 4 posts of 5 each, because they are so big already lol. or just 4 posts with 2 having 5 and 2 having 4, staggered so the posts can fit tightly together. I'm not sure, I have a few hours to figure out what exactly I wanna do with em ;).

Thanks for stopping by

Happy Pharming!

Your plants look like they are very happy! glad to see the precautions with the bamboo, hate for em all to lay down on ya again. their stems look nice and thick for only day 12 of bloom.

Your newly transplanted clones root pics are nice, they are so white and healthy looking great job! looks like a big root system for day 1 :)

Keep the updates coming! and keep up the good work. Your room will look nice full of perpetual plants.

I am so impressed with your plants! It's gotta feel great to make a custom system like this one and get suck great results. I think that your setup would work great with a huge LED light. I am looking at building a RDWC system myself for an LED test, but I know your setup is already perfect for this as well.

I really wanna try growing 6' plants in a vertical lighting arrangement, but LED isn't ready for that. I will go with a multi-plant smaller setup like yours in this case as I think this will work best.

Day 16

Greeting fellow pharmers!

so I felt like all my posts were so close together that you couldn't really see a difference between pictures so ill prolly be updating with pictures less often. unless people specifically ask for something :)

Here are some Group shots. When I trans planted my newer plants I looked at my timer for the original 16 plants and accidentally set the timer from automatic to manual!! ahh!! so they didnt get 2 feedings during the day (OUT OF 3 feedings a day!!) so the next day it looked depressing to say the least. but they recovered from that. Also this happened the day before I was going to change the Rez to a new fresh batch for em :( so they got fresh nutes and feedings.

These pics are of day 16 and during their night cycle i noticed after day 17 that the PH was a lil high so I lowered it by .5 and its about 5.6 now so my plants should be happier. anyone think i should lower my ph a little more tomorrow? i know ph changes should be gradual, should i take it down to 5.3 or something? what do you guys lower your PH to?

Here is some closer shots:

Despite the drought I compared them to my last grows day 17 photos and the nug development looks the same but with one more internode average per plant per top cola if that make sense to anyone lol.

And finally some pictures of my newest girls in the room.

Newer_plants_Group2.JPG

they will be trimmed on day 9 at the latest hopefully their day 8 which is tomorrow (today is their day 7 and these pictures are from their day 5 and the bigger plants pictures are of day 16 and right now is their day 18)

hope all that made sense to everyone ;) lol.

Hey there! thanks for the kind words. yes, im excited to see what that root system will produce, these plants are starting out with a bigger root system then i used to start my plants with, there are alot of roots packed into those little cups too not to mention all the roots spilling out of the cups.

Thanks LEBDOG for the complements! :) it does feel good to have a design work and pay off. Personally I LOVE these ebb and flow posts. I used to grow in trays with hydroton, then pots in trays with hydroton in the pots (they did better with all the plants sharing the hydroton than when they had pots to grow in). so like most people I bet who use hydroton, i hate cleaning it. so the fact that my plants dont use any medium is really great for me and incredibly easy to clean!

Thats funny you mention that, I've always been into the idea of micro grows, from back in the OverGrow days. (there was some impressive micro stealth grows over there) and I've always kept my eye on LEDs and they are starting to sound and look impressive. I want to get a led setup and do smaller plants with t5 side lighting in a much smaller microstyle cab with co2 injections ;) but thats just a thought for a project in the future... im pretty busy now :( :bong-hits:

welp, thanks for stopping by ya'll!

whats up! I've been looking around this forum for awhile now and finnally signed up :) Im really into the thought of building a sealed room. I just finished my 3rd soil grow and second hydro grow, and will be making both my rooms hydro becuase of the difference i noticed. but Ill probably be having some questions along my way for you if you don't mind. I really like the Icebox idea with the chiller, and not needing an additional airconditioner is cool. something less ill have to duct.

Day 21 update

Greetings fellow Pharmers!

Time for another pictorial update ;)

Here is a group shot of the girls, its hard to get good pictures that do these girls justice... none of these pics really do em justice, i need to get a better camera :)

you can see a lil leaf damage in a few of these, they looked REALLY scary bad after a long drought but have come back nicely. their new growth looks very happy :)

Here are a few pictures of the newest girls in the room. and i believe this is a few days after their trim. they are recovering MUCH faster than the original 16 girls. I left on all the lower fan leaves and just cut off the branches for the trim, seems to of made a huge difference in their rebound.

Newest1.JPG

This larger plant is tied to the side because it has stroung growth and this particular post only has 4 plants in it. these posts are a little random. one has 4 plants, one has 5 plants, one has 6 plants, and the 4th post has 7 plants in it. they were just kinda grouped by size and how I was going to trim them to maximize space.

Greetings fellow pharmer! welcome to the farm :hi
feel free to ask any questions you might have. It's a little lonely in this thread all by my lonesome ;) just me posting pics of my girls hehe.

yes not having to deal with an air conditioner is an awesome plus for using water cooling. I'm very happy with my sealed setup. it took a little while to get it just the way i like it, but its completely dial-able now. now its time to start focusing more on my nutrients and feeding regiment now that everything else is more or less ideal.

But I wont be making a nutrient change untill i harvest these original 16 girls. than Ill be buying the Botanicare TriFlex lineup: Base,Bloom,Grow,Liquid Karma, Pure Blend Original, Sweet, Aqua shield and Hydroplex. I also will be buying a new ph/tds/ec/ppm/temp all in one meter ;) The one I've had has been through alot in the last 6 years and been through alot of bad drying conditions and just doesn't seem to want to do anything steady anymore :( . what brand do you guys/gals use? any suggestions? I originally thought about the continuous meters, but I'll have 3 rez's to be checking (not to mention my 3 cloner rez's also) and that would be very expensive (but a cool luxury some day very distant lol). I gotta get on my nutrients better, once I get their food dialed in and their trimming/timing down It'll be exciting to see what they give back to me for my efforts ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Looking good bro. whats your current feeding schedule? also, is it just duct tape holding the bamboo stakes to the posts? that'll hold with a plant leaning? just curious. one more question if you don;t mind ;) how big a dehumidifier do you have and what level do you keep it at during 12/12? thanks! keep up the great updates!

much love

Hey whats up RMCG hows it going. thanks for admiring my work ;) hehe, its much tougher to get everything in order in time for a perpetual grow, but its a fun challenge :)

BTW I've gotten a few messages about my grow posts. So I put up a tutorial on how to make em. it's really very simple :). I just put a few tips down for anyone interested.

Timing is definitely the biggest bitch in perpetual. You really have to know your strains. How long to root, how long to veg, how long to flower. A few days longer to root than normal and it starts to throw everything out of whack.

You seem to be managing quite nicely!

I did like the 'solid', methodical work vs the 'waves' of work when you garden perpetually but found I was not anal enough to maintain that sort of military like schedule. Perhaps now that I am a bit older and more patient.
