I'd like to connect with other grower searching for THCV genetics. The universal answer from google is always Doug's Varin, but the genetics are heavily protected so don't bother. But there are other strains that hold promise; e.g. Durban Poison (the landrace, NOT the Dutch version), Ethiopian, Wild Thailand, and a handful of others that specifically tout their THCV concentration, but to my knowledge, nothing has been independently verified.

Anyone grow anything out that's been lab tested or holds promise?

I have three Ethiopian seedlings going that will go into flower some time next month. Expecting results in July some time and will report.

That said, i am hoping for like 2%, so not exactly an efficient specialist strain. But i think as a breeding partner it sounds fascinating for its THCV and vigor.

I would like to share with you a cut from my best THC Victory to see what you can come up with.

Any guesses if this is real? Arrives Monday. That means TLC testing on Monday!

What are your plans for the Ethiopian? I have 3 Mad Villain germinating, and I've a killer clone of Wild Thai. Both strains are destined for feminized seed production, which will I'll share when they ripen.I

2% is at the low end, but *probably* enough for the effects I want. But, the more the better, obviously; it's easy enough to water down with another strain.

My money sez you have 5g of the real thing. What are the plans for this stuff?
Awesome question. I feel apprehensive like before the first time I tried psilocybin. This could be life changing for me like that first time with mushrooms.

I'm probably gonna stare at it for a minute, build my inner chi or channel budda or @Kanzeon or some shit, pack a pipe with a low THC flower, sprinkle some on top, do what pipes do, and wait. Not long. I oughta know pretty quick.

If it's real, I will figure the proper dosage and method and get back to losing 20 pounds a month. Need to be ready for my bikini soon.

Totally agree. 2% is noice. Just a dab'll do ya. But it runs thru fast. 45mins - hour. Faster than THC. So if you have too much THC in the mix when consuming, it's tough to keep re-dosing the THCV without getting couch locked stoned on THC which ruins the whole thing IMO. I'm thinking a 10/10/2 THC/CBD THCV is perfect for night, and 0/10/2 for daytime would be ideal. The daytime one would make a nice caffeine replacement for somebody hooked on it.

To start with, seeing if it has THCV and if so what the effects are like for me and pops. That will be a major contributor to future plans.

One thought is to cross it with a high CBG plant in case i get one along my various panama plants I have going. That seems like a potential cool cocktail for the morning. The Ethiopian has only 6-12% thc according to ace (huge yielder though, which makes bubble hash a possibility), so all told that would be an interesting, firm direction for such a project.

If THCV becomes super high interest upon initial tests, then crossing w a high THCV source and seeing what those progeny look like would be my next stop, probably.

It was tried. Answer was nope. Minimal THCV.

Also a lot of the tga parents got lost in wild fires last year.

Mz. Jill is basically just chucking as fast as possible now as far as i can tell. Can't even bother with strain descriptions.

Dunno if this has been shared yet but the description suggests thcv. I certainly don't have a lab but I may try cultivating this Malawi gold.

I have several landraces including this in my fridge right now. I have not grown it yet, but I plan to.
