Well let’s say I’m more or less correct in that they could have handled about 600-625 ppm with every watering. Now that I’m switching to the first kind of bloom nutes, is it a smart/safe play to begin the feedings with that same ppm? Or is it common for plants to immediately want/need a little bit more strength from the bloom nutes, or less?

I guess I should mention that I do not intend to let the pots dry out ever. If they do, I’ll consider that a mistake with the living soil style.

Trellis should be here in about 5 days. I still have some vertical height to play with. Cool to flip a few days before I get that installed? Am I crazy to not flip today or does it look reasonable to give it another 3-5 days so that I can maximize my tent to the absolute extreme!?

Sounds good, thanks for the advice! I have some ideas about how to grow this strain to have 1/3 less tops, maybe even less but have the same veg time.

Until then, someone said they thought my tent looked like it was gonna just be a bunch of popcorn buds. I mean I know the more tops the smaller the buds, but popcorn buds? Hopefully they are incorrect!

I mentioned I have lots of popcorn and a chair meaning that I’m comfortable to watch your show. Lmfao!!

Damn ok. Well. I’m not familiar, but with most lines of nutrients, unless you are confident that what you are using isn’t crazy hot in the key nutrients area of that fertilizer, is to start feeding at 1/2 a dose, of what the package asks you to make, this is coming from experience as well, it’s always easier, to feed a plant more if it wants it, it’s a whole heck of a lot harder, when you overdose a plant. Feeding a hungry plant is waaaay better than feeding a toxic plant. So less is more in the beginning. And dial it up some of you see the plants are still hungry. Use that farmers eye.

Sounds good man! What I have noticed is that if I were using their feeding chart to the letter, my plants would probably be burnt to toast! I’ll call them tomorrow and pick their brains about my experience so far and hopefully they’ll steer me right.

Ballast is also new so not sure which is at fault. Ballast fan is on but the bulb doesn’t even spark on power up.

I think some ballast have a built in timer that protects them if there’s a power glitch mine is 10 mins if I remember stil in jail smoking up a storm sheeesh star dog is fffffire!!

Sweet! Except the trim jail part, though I look forward to making it into trim jail in a couple of months!

False alarm on the light, mostly. I use an EMI filter between the ballast and the hood. Always worked fine with the MH. I pulled that out of the chain and the bulb fired up no problem. I was paranoid reading about stories of ham radio guys and cops zeroing into people’s grows from radio interference so I was being extra cautious. Oh well, hopefully it’s fine. The ballast claims to be FCC compliant..
