I have (2) mars 900 watts leds. In a 5×4 grow area. I ll be growing buckeye purple from Melvanetics. I'll be bringing in fresh air from under my house. Could I use a regular a/c filter to stop any unwanted things from coming through the vent?? Thanks for anyone and all info.

Will I lose pressure because of the filter?

Do you have any suggestions to not lose pressure but still be able to prevent any bugs from coming through my ducking

I was going to use a 6 inch inline fan to bring fresh air in my grow room. I was going to use an ac filter.

Hello quick update day 56 from seedlings the two girls are starting to take off ! I got 2 more led lights coming tomorrow. I'm adding one in the 4x4 tent with the 2 400watt leds and I'll be installing the other in a 2x2 tent for my autoflowers. I'll check back in later with more updates.

I settled on this filter here.

It has a 6" flange and will filter out a majority of what you don't want.
It is washable & re-usable like a k&n.

You can also be re-assured that it is designed with minimal air restriction in mind.

Most filters with the label "grow" associated with them seem to run around $70-$90.

But this one is only $30.59.
I have it installed on my tent.
It is great :).
It helps keep contaminants out.
As well as helps keep my air cooled light fixture dust free.

Hey all,
It's been a minute since I was on here and I figured I would update with some progress. Still under the 2 mars reflectors 96*5w. Broke down and got a tent and I'm extremely happy with the way things are progressing. 4x4 tent, and these 2 lights work very well. I'll be transitioning to bloom in another 18 days, so I'll post more pictures along the way. The discoloring was from leaving the plants in too small of pots for about 2 weeks. Oops. Anyway, I hope they encourage others to try the LED lights as well.

Beautiful looking plants, they are going to do good things for you here very soon, especially with all that new light! I got off into a clone phase, and propagated the Critical Mass on the far right(biggest). The one up front and to the right is a Cutie pie.

I use the 3w reflector series,450w actually draw about 300watts each.i like to hang a bare mh bulb in the middle 600w ,I turn it down to 250w or 400.the metal halide ,led mix does real nice.last 3-4 weeks I add uvb strip light.adds a lot of resin and seems to make buds more dense.ive mixed it up and this method works best.oh and 3w chips work better than 5w.dont know why they changed em.just make more heat nor par..my 10pence worth...

Hey there keiksweat, I have heard that same thing from a couple of master growers I will eventually get around to trying it! Thank you for your input. Also I have heard alot of growers say that the 3w version were better than 5w, I tried to get the 3w version but they said they didn't have any in the us warehouse. Knowing mars they only went to 5w to tear up quicker to get people to buy more lights or make money on shipping charges for parts!!! LOL
