I wouldn't worry about trimming anything yet.

Do you have a closer picture of the topping you did?

I would move your scrog net a little above the plant, now that you topped you are going to get multiple branches and the scrog is used to control them and with how low your net is, it would be hard to train them. Just put it a little over the plants and let them grow into the scrog net and once it has grown into the net, you can start tucking your branches for an even canopy.

Id let it grow a while, let em get some size. Also the nets not gonna do much good underneath the plants like that. The net is usually used for training and also to keep the buds from flopping over, some guys use two nets for that reason

Ok thank you dude ! I have a photo of what I took out , I watched a few videos on yt of peeps doing it and was mostly successful although may of been a bit brutes .. I’ll post a photo of them Tom morning as it’s late here and don’t want to unzip the noisiest zip on the planet 🫡 ok on the scrog , will do that in the morning also .. so just move it up to canopy level and tuck over etc ? Honestly it was only up so early to help with support and LST ( kinda) as I naively thought strung would suffice for tying ; Will get some wire . Thank you 🙏

I usually put the net just above where I'm going to defoliate and flip shortly after, gives just enough to compensate some stretch. Although my lazy ass hasn't gotten around to it yet in my current grow, looks like a 70's porno down there.. 🫤

Wait for the plant to recover from the top and you will start seeing new branches coming up, once your new branches grow in some, you can start using the scrog. Just remove the scrog or move it way above the plant for now, since you topped your plants, you're going to see huge growth with multiple new tops and once you have multiple tops you can start tucking with the scrog. It could be a week or 2 before you have the growth for the scrog.

Looks like your doing well! Just sit back and wait a few days and you will see exactly what I'm talking about, it's really an amazing thing!

Here are some closeups of the topping as requested @Newty . I might have been too brutal , but after removing scrog today and untying the strings they do seem to of exploded a bit . I need to get some wire ties today and I’ll post another photo of how they look . Thank you again to all who have babysat 😅

Took the net down ( lifted it up ) and untied the strings . Going to retie with wires a bit later on today . I posted my topping attempts above for scrutiny 🧐. They have kind of exploded , did some tucking to expose the new growth also . Honestly can’t wait for mine to look like that ! Thanks again for inputs

Nope. The two shoots at the base of where you topped are your two new main colas. You’ll have to wait to see your two new tops develop. Typically you want to wait for your targeted tops to have 2 sets of leafs before you top at that node group. But you are fine. The two shoots immediately below the cut are your two main tops, btw.

Next time you top, select a lower node group. You treaded the line of a fim cut.
Ok . I think I left it a bit too late in general. So I just went for the top ones but right on the line of too many lower nodes as you say . I’m complete newbie do learning every second . Nice one for advice , appreciated.

If it were me I would take the top cut down. Blue are the two tops I’d want to keep. Basically, go down one and cut again. Because I’d want those two down there to be my new tops and not tops that have not grown out yet. You can’t even see your tops that will eventually be. So I would cut above one node down and make those blue shoots my new tops instead.

So those two leaves I have my finger on , cut ? Or the just the deaded top in the middle

So cut the main stem just above the two blue circled shoots. Those two shoots you want to keep as your main tops, so top cut it just above them. Then, those two blue circled shoots are your new tops.

So the two leafs your fingers are on and a small bit of the main stem should be lobbed off. You want those two small shoots to be the ones remaining. So cut just above them, cut the main stem.
