at one point before i switched to cobs i was just about 13kw but i had that down to 8kw before i made the move to the new building.im not even sure where im at right now with 2 building running well below full speed.think i have about 1200w still going in the old spot to finish a few plants and the new spot has like 3000w flower and 1200w veg maybe.but once the transition is done i should be around 10-11k total

I figured this would be the place to ask this, anyone used any of the ELG series from MeanWell?

Look pretty much the same as HLG but more "cost efficient"
elg has a few flaws imo.1 is they have a much lower power output if ran from 110-120v wall power.the wattage and voltage output goes down if not wired for 240v.then theres that 1-2% efficiency hlg series has over the elg series.

Hi there six I am looking to build a growroom which is 11 m round (16sq ft i think)
which I hope to fit my veg/mothers as well as flower room using cobs.
I have been reading alot online and have seen u have been very helpfull in forums and was hoping you can help me if possible or send me in the right direction.
I have seen some great grow journals with the citi clu48-1212 3500k 90cri but read cree/ are the best but which cree/vero?
I am also a little lost how to use my space eg 4 sq ft for mother/veg and 12 sq ft for flower?
Was thinking 3 kits of 4 cobs or am I better to make 2 boards with 6 cobs?( under the impression 4 kits are better than 2 for repair reason and flexability to minimise grow or am i better making 1 or 2 boards?
and also what light for veg/mother room?
I appologise for all the noob questions I have read alot of your stuff online but still not confident on what to get.
I would like to use holders to avoid soldering and also use reflectors(i think)
Interested in the setup you have but not sure what I need
Thanks for your time
:)

welcome to the site.lets start with cob brands, they are all very close in performance now with vero having a slight edge as the best, plus with built in holders you cant go wrong with the vero 29se.you only need reflectors if you run the cobs at higher power and will have them higher over the plants or you are growing very tall plants.i like bare cob setups best.as far as what you need and how many,i cant pick that stuff for you ,not enough info for me to even properly guide you.i can say i like 20w per sq ft for veg and 30-50w per sq ft for flowering.im not sure how that would translate to meters.dont overlook the quantum boards for these builds also.the qb 98 and 120 are great for veg and those qb288 back in stock are kickass for flowering :)

as far as what i have,i run cree 3590-36v at lower power,35w or 50w and i like these setups alot.building a veg light right now with cree 3590 dd bin 5000k that will round out my large quantum veg panel
This one will be 5 cobs at 35w using the driver in pics.

yes the 50 and 70v veros are beating cree, citi, lumi at eff above 50w.cree still shows great numbers below 50w but untill the price comes down to 25 bucks per cob they just wont compete with the veros.
im pretty sure the spydr x uses samsung 561 chip.but fluence has several fixtures.
All Fluence systems are built with the latest LED technology from the world’s top semiconductor manufacturers — including Osram, Samsung and LG.
just way over priced like spectrumking is.
