Hmmm. You would have to give me one so I could ummmmm inspect it more closely for larf. Yeah, that's it.
(Dude.. those are freaking beautiful!)
Yeah I'll tune up my newly acquired skills, what do I look out for when there is not enough light?Well the photone paid for LeD I believe works well. Some need to make a diffuser to use. None the less id hang at 75cm at 50% for now and see how they lookin a couple days… will give you a chance to practice new skills of reading light stress.
Meters are handy for replication but ince you can read the plants there is absolutely no need to use a meter unless trying to give a number to help another grower ir replication
I have it on full spectrum and it says 300 lol. No way we getJust to clarify...
Full spectrum LED is unlocked from the start on Android. On iPhone you have to pay.
Thanks buddyPhotone app for the phone is a helper as you could calibrate to the manufacturer ppfd map and be closer. It’s a 7-8 dollar upgrade to get ppfd to work for full spectrum led.
I used it for a while , but being a machinist by trade a proper guage would be best to maximize efficiency.
For the price of weed at the dispensary the 400 bucks I spent is a small price to pay to know for sure what I’m applying.
Again good luck with the grow , plants look great.
Nothing cause im always walking that line after seedlings. You be surprised though how much ppl over light their plants and if you keep notes well you can see exactly if small changes are beneficial or not… the more light they tolerate the more dialed in you are. It all depends gow anal and how hard you want to push them and whether you find all the extra work to do so worth itYeah I'll tune up my newly acquired skills, what do I look out for when there is not enough light?
Yup you can but like i say you do want a slight V to the upper 3 or so nodes. It will be most pronounced at the top. Your not far off your optimal and i think about 75cm at 50% should put you there. Then get plant temps on the proper range as thats a huge guge factor in growth rates…. Id say even comparable to co2 depending how far out you areI have it on full spectrum and it says 300 lol. No way we getat 300 right?

Surprises me that they would give out the ppfd on android for free.Just to clarify...

.So basically if the leaves go like athey are getting slightly too much light?
There can be many reasons why the plants may not be able to handle a certain light intensity but the tacoing from heat and light stress is always a response to too much light/heat for the plant. Factors like genetics, nutrients, ph, temp, humidity, wind, co2, o2 etc etc etc will reduce the efficiency of photosynthetic rates. In all cases resuce light until its is corrected. If the light is right, your feed it’s too much if you taco.
I downloaded this from the Playstore... 3 or 4 weeks ago I guess... It's a Photone beta version and everything is unlocked.Surprises me that they would give out the ppfd on android for free.
Must have been an oversight on there end and monies lost.
Good for you.
I need to go back, and read a whole bunch of your threads. If anyone could help me "get it", you seem like the guy with knowledge I do not haveMay aswell explain the glheat aigns a bit also. Early mag deficiency can be mistaken for heat but when the serrations are spiked its usually a sign if heat stress and stress reduces light tolerance so when combined with folding is most often the heat causing light stress. Tgis happens fairly quickly once leaf/plant temps hit 78-82 depending on the genetics. Heat atress is almost always accompanied by light stress.
If the edges are rolled inwards and not folded then start looking for bugs… more specifically russet or spider mites.
Tips curled down N tox.
Tips bleached/burned and upwards start of light burn or potassium deficiency often seen in later flower when demand for K is high.
Now understand that all of these are symptoms of and rarely the cause…. Eg potassium scorched tips and serrations does not mean you need more potassium and likely its an availability issue like PH , nutrient ratio or transpiration.
Figured since we’re are going deep on leaf signs i add some to it.
This was cooked to shit under a 600w led run at about 480w i had issues trying to keep that plant happy because it did not like the same light, nutrient ratio etc as the majority i was growing with it… but because of genetics it still hauled ass in comparison on the bid size… it’s mostly genetics that determine tgis and if the plant is topped.I think it has something to do with the lack of IR light. Does anyone have any pics of LED with IR strip?
This was my most recent grow under a 600 hps. Until I see it, I have a real hard time believing it. Not fighting words, just my experience, and my opinion. View attachment 1245906View attachment 1245905
Dude i seen you stuff around im not to sure i can help you much with knowledge . About the only things i can say is LED changes almost all ideals when swapping from HID i think most feel they are just a different source of lights but they really change the needs if the entire grow and many get frustrated when switch and go backI need to go back, and read a whole bunch of your threads. If anyone could help me "get it", you seem like the guy with knowledge I do not have
This pic is so embarrassing lol but hey i dont mind showing the good and the bad… you dont learn from perfection and i done a fair bit of learning lolThis was cooked to shit under a 600w led run at about 480w i had issues trying to keep that plant happy because it did not like the same light, nutrient ratio etc as the majority i was growing with it… but because of genetics it still hauled ass in comparison on the bid size… it’s mostly genetics that determine tgis and if the plant is topped.

I think you nailed it with that post. That's the 1st time I saw the LED potential. Thanks brother but i dam near killed that thing a few times lol. Not gonna lie its a tad embarrassing to showI think you nailed it with that post. That's the 1st time I saw the LED potential. Great post.
