You want to watch how close you get them to your soil, you don't want them to actually touch it. problems can occur.
so as long as they grow up from it soon...just keep an close eye on em. when you water, they can get mud on them/trapped moister, dirt in their stoma? the part under the leaves that opens to draw in CO2 and release O2.
