That's how I'm trying to make things work.

Any advice for a rookie?

Heres my current setup and looking to optimize timing here which takes experience.

2 4x4 tables 1 under 4k MH DE Nanolux for stretch period and increase light from t600w
From t5 250w to 600w then up to 750 after 1 week 12/12 then 1000w at end week 2.

They then go onto 4x8 after stretch under 2x 1kw air cooled hortilux from.then till harvest ...That's the short stretch plants...The more sativa dominant go under a 4*4 de hps 750w to 850w @week 3. Or 2 weeks after 4x8 is filled.

Been harvesting plants randomly do to many strains and some are ready some are not I.put some.in flower early some not. Now putting whole.tables.12/12 and I want to have it down so that one 4*4 area is being harvested every 2 weeks and one new table being put in every 2-4 weeks.

My question is if I have 4 rotation tables and want to fill a table perpetually every time is it better to have 4 veg sections or 3?

I have 3 x t5 sections. One for new cuttings and Pheno seedlings

One for small plants

One for medium plants

Should I keep things @3 weeks apart for mostly 9 week strains ? Or more.like 4 weeks apart?

Tough question when you don't know details but would like to hear more about your perpetual. Sorry for thread jacking lol

That's part of the trick to doing a perpetual is in the timing of your veg cycle to coincide with your flowering. Most of that understanding will come as you learn how each individual strains grow in the environment you are supplying them with. So it's really not a cut and dry answer to give to a newer grower.
My veg is a 4x8 with a Horti 600 hps and a 400 CMH hung on the ceilings and I have tiers built to keep my plants at the best veg height and sometimes I still have plants that get too big for my flowering height limits.

The problem i have with small pots is there is not enough weight in the pots to support the canopy of 5-6' flowering plants , which is what I try to grow. I'm more of a large plant sog grower than a scrog grower.

Got to use a net trellis...i know what you mean. If your growing hogs in 2 or 3 gallon pots of coco...they can get top heavy and tip..even with a fully wet pot. If they are allowed to dry...forget it. Tip over time. Use a net trellis. Using a net doesn't mean your scroggin necessarily. Scrog is more of a technique than just slapping up a net.

Netting or trellising just doesn't work in my garden. Believe me I've tried. I've even made single pot screens for each and every pot.

God ive done that before....what a nightmare. I still do actually. Just not as intense and not nearly as many. I have really tight string in a grid pattern across the room ceiling with a bunch of yo yos in placed areas and intervals. But i hardly ever use them all anymore. Iam over that shit. Only new strains that are floppy and i don't quite have them dialed in for my set up and methods get a yo yo or 4 maybe.

Do any of you mainline or manifold your plants ? Or are you adding an additional layer of netting just for weight of buds in late flower? Or 2 nets?

I lollipop my plants as well as top them multiple times......industrial cannabis growing technique

then top with a trellis
you can use a modified tomato cage or bamboo stakes etc....

I dont know Ive never tried a net or trellis but Im always open to learning new techniques. Whats your yields like with that plant training method?
Looks like ogs would yield well with thay method!

Does anyone mainline or manifold?

I think for most growers
mainline just occupies to much veg time

Mainline is a nice technique especially with an easy structured and thick branched indica. It does slow them down (they are slow veggers as is). My problem with it is alot of my strains arent perfectly opposed in its phyllotaxy branching. And my super fast viney hybrid and sativa leaning gear...forget it. I top a few times depending and spray kelp/fulvic foliar weekly and sometimes because of the hormones in the kelp....a very bottom branch or 2 will shoot up past all others to become the apical domimant one. Mainlining doesnt work with these fast rubbery gals.

Its why the real pros that bring in 2 plus pounds a lamp usually only grow that one or maybe 2 strains that they took a awhile (or a friend that ran the cut did) getting the topping and training and plant numbers and flip heights down and dialed for maximum bud output. Almost no grower (even with the high dollar indoor fancy equipment) will hit the big weight numbers first time out (or even 2 or 3 rips) with an untested and unran strain. Unless someone else whose ran the cut has a very detailed dialing in process hooks the grower up with. There is a cat on here....i forget his name but hes been running the real deal og kush for a long time and has a very specific method hes posted here to get og to give up the goods. As you all know...og kush is a notoriously low yielding cultivar for most growers...including myself. Anyways this post is very detailed. The guy spent alot of time with that one cut over years trying different things and he got it. To get pros like this to share the methods to just anyone is a very rare thing indeed.

yeah I have talked to him before
I get pretty good yields from my og
for me with og it is all about defoliating and hitting it with P/K week 9 and she should be run 11 weeks
between 9 to chop is when she bulks
same with my GG I just found out
as well running it outdoors and same thing
hitting week 9 now
pistils have been tucked back for 3 weeks but.....BOOM calyx stacking galore

most large scale grows I know.....nomatter what they are growing
usually they top once
then they defoliate and strip up to the top 4 nodes on each branch and flip
day 20 they defoliate again
and let it ride

just what I have seen and been a part of

now a days in my little personal garden I do alot of experimenting but have never been able to brake from the repetition of what I learned

One can start with good equipment doesn't mean nothing unless you have common sense practical application.
Id like to study this post. .
Id like to try a tomato cage og double ended 4x4 with same strain not a variety of heights. So far that was my best yield 10 11wk strains mainlined single top only defoliate day 1 and week 3 to 5.
So much to learn. So eager to apply and execute.

Check out my sons mainlining thread. It was his first time and in my opinion he knocked it outta the park.
Heres the link https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/bag-seed-hunting-the-lst-adventure.78896/

Heres the finished plant

My son has the manifolding down ....... Great yield but like already mentioned if you want quick turn n burn, manifolding does take some time. That is the down side.
