The compost tea looks a hell of a lot darker now that it's been bubbling for 12 hours. I put all the compost /azomite/solids in a paint strainer and tied it closed before putting it in the bucket so everything small enough is seeping out into the water but any large chunks will not go into it.

I plan on using this partially as a foliar feeding and will use the rest as a soil drench over the entire growing area. it can apparently go bad quickly so no reason to try to store it for later.
Dilute this tea before use😉
I had a bucket like that with horse manure in a nylons bag for years. Good stuff no matter what organic material you use, even weeds.

Oh yes definitely! I was diluting to something like 3 cups per gallon of water.then at the end when there was a bit less than a gallon left I filled the bucket up with water and spread that around.

Put the mass super skunk into the ground today. Probably gonna be putting a couple more in the ground tonight or tomorrow.

Only 4 left to go in the ground. I'm pretty excited to be able to put all my plants into the ground this year. I am gonna have to make something so I can cut a couple branches down that are blocking a.little bit of light but that should.be pretty easy.

Excellent start, best of luck this season.✌️

Got another plant in the ground yesterday, only a few left to go(besides the companion plants).

I need to figure out a schedule for how often to do the compost tea. I'm not really sure how often I should do it yet.

Got the last couple plants in the ground today during some light rain.

Some are closer together than I'd like and they aren't very evenly spaced but this was the best I could do without spending 3 times longer digging out massive boulders(I did plenty of that anyways) because the ground is very very rocky here with rocks ranging from pebbles to bigger than a minivan in My yard I just dug around the much bigger ones.

Next year I will probably spend the time digging a couple of the bigger boulders out so I can space them better but no more time for that this year.

There is a little yellowing on the lower leafs on the older plant I buried the stem on but I think I am.just under feeding it I don't think that has anything to do with burying the stem.

Been pretty rainy/crappy out the last couple days but I still got a couple more companion plants in the ground.

When I was checking over my plants and cleaning some small lower branches/growth sites yesterday I noticed that on one of my older Afghan plants one of the small bottom branches that I was cutting off looked like it had started to flower. It was only that one small branches too the rest of the plant looked normal like it was still in veg.

Beautiful healthy plants!!
A woodchip mulch around the base of the plant would be a great addition !!!
It has an infinite list of benefits for the plants...aaaand it looks good , hides the freakin perlite that fly around the garden

Few pics from this morning.

The one plant I buried the stem quite a bit started showing some kinda issue the last few days and had some more yellowing leaves/browned edges.

Can any of you with more experience than me tell what might be causing it?

I'm growing in a mixture of promix bx/added perlite, and my own compost. Probably something like 45% promix, 25% added perlite, 30% my own compost.

I was originally using roots organic Buddha grow and Buddha bloom but switched after putting them outdoors and my JLF was unfrozen.

The plant is also quite old, I started her in August or July last year. I kept her as a mother to practice cloning and have clones for this season before planting her to finish out her life. I've been giving her aerated compost tea every couple.weeks using 4 cups of compost, 4 cups of worm castings, 1/4 cup of micronized azomite powder, 1/4 cup unsulphured black strap molasses, and roughly 1TBS of seaweed extract + humic/folic acid (.only started this about a month ago so ive only fed with this twice)

I've also been giving her some jadam liquid fertilizer I made on the off weeks I haven't been using the tea. And microbial inoculants once a week or so(originally used fox farms microbe brew for This but when I ran out this year I switched to making my own jadam microbial solution to save money and have a more fine tuned microbe herd for my location.

I use well water to water with but I haven't ph'd any of the water I've used besides for cloning purposes because I read growing organically its not as important as when using chemical fertilizers and because i haven't noticed any issues from not doing it.

I hardly trim any leafs off them besides a minor lollipoping and when they are in bad shape and are almost ready to fall off anyways.

If you need more info just ask and I'll provide what I can.

Oh also I haven't dug down real deep but where I uncovered the stem below the dirt only looked wet it didn't feel mushy or anything but I guess there could be an issue deeper.

I water them roughly once a day depending on if the soil is wet but they still sometimes sit in wet soil for longer than I'd like due to the weather.

I'm thinking the one that has yellowing might not be getting enough sunlight. Idk we'll see how shit goes but I'm gonna take some clones from her now Incase anything happens so I'll still have a mother of it for next year.

This fall I'm thinking I might cut the wood line back a tree or two deep to give myself a little bit more room to spread out my plants without worrying about them getting shaded. Just a bit worried I'll end up dropping a tree on my house 😂

Not much in the way of change since the last update but a few pics from this morning . Also one pic with one of my dogs Infront of the plants to give a better idea of their sizes.
