I always thought the plants take what they need,
at whatever time they need it--
they just have to have it available...

@OLDproLg Yer a Moonshiner...
...I am so very happy I got that pack of Moonshine Haze for last season,
to go along with the Divine CookieCrosses and Farmer's Mix (excellent)
for my first new genetics in 25 years;
I vape ~3 bags of Moonshine Haze every morning,
those three keepers were big producers;
my wife hated the "pine sol" smell right from the start
(amazing how the smell changed daily,weekly, monthly)
she wouldn't even be in the same room with an open jar,
for the first 6 months;
which I why I still get to vape it every day--
Heh...

...Moonshine Haze last year,
Amnesia Haze X GSC S1 FC this year--
what Haze do I need for next year???...

There are pretty much only 3 hazes I buy regularly for many years, besides trying something else occasionally, and that's SSH (moonshine is based on that right?), Amnesia, and Lemon Haze. So my suggestion would be Super Lemon Haze from Green Hermie... err... House Seeds. I haven't grown it and I don't know how sensitive the SLH but it (well a good one anyway) is the type of stuff you can smoke for six months too (making the rest, non-haze etc, seem less interesting...). Smells up a room quite nicely, the pinesol masked partly by lemon (so could be less unpleasant for your wife too). It's taste-wise and effect-wise imo one of the most successful haze hybrids out there.

Thanx,
3 hazes;
it always amazes me how often "3" (and 13) shows-up in Cannabis--
some sorta lemon haze it shall be...

@Sativied
Are all GH seeds feminized???
------------------------------------
@OLDproLg
Yesterday there was Lemonana Haze and something else interesting--
today they've disappeared???

==============================================

At harvest time my garden's always been in the shade at noon,
because of a clump of bamboo I planted ~30 years ago;
we might be trading hot desert wind conditions,
for El Nino torrential rain conditions--
so I thinned 'em for some harvest noon sun...

Another Giant Golden Bamboo popping up,
expecting to be the traditional helicopter camo tent;
right next to last year's--
they did a good job for a quarter century...

=================================

GET SMALL,
Get Small,
Get small--
get small...

Yes, GHS sells only fem seeds. I'd normally never recommend GHS but even amongst many GHS haters the Super Lemon Haze is somehow considered an exception. I can't speak for the plants as I've never grown it, and most if not all the lemon haze bud I smoked is from clones. So if you can get a good lemon haze elsewhere that may be a good idea.

The plants in your garden look beautiful, looks like they filled in the space nicely again. And so nicely flat canopy... I think you'd be a great indoor grower too.

Everytime I see that bamboo I'm thinking what a great building material for a shed.

By your previous comment (and others comments)
it seems GHS has hermaphrodite problems,
my only experience with feminized plants are Divine Genetics;
no hermaphrodites there,
or their offspring <so far...>--
(knock on trichome)...

It's probably impossible to find an unbiased opinion on GHS, seems people either love them or hate them. GHS sells seeds of crosses and picking two female parents is easier than selecting males. I don't think there's a direct relationship between fem and hermies, but indirectly perhaps... And perhaps the way GHS makes them makes them more prone to hermie.

Frankly I think the bad stories are as inflated as Arjan's ego and they aren't any more like to hermie than many others. I could be completely wrong about that but it seems the most realistic scenario.

Super Lemon Haze is SSH x Lemon Skunk. (Lemon skunk is Skunk x Citral).
So it's the SSH (again...) with lemon taste, perhaps there are very similar alternatives from a more reputable source.

I luv the StrainHunter videos,
found 'em same day I found The Farm ~3-4 years ago;
when I finally entered the word "Cannabis" into a search engine--
don't know anything about Greenhouse*...
----------------------------------------------------
* 'cept I heard they created a cross--
and they called it Chemdog...

I've got Moonshine Haze X Dervish,
Amnesia Haze X Girl Scout Cookies;
and I've got Silver Bubster,
which is SSH/NL X SoCAL MasterKush;
so I obviously need Super Lemon Haze--
and/or @OLDproLg 's Lemonana Haze...

Ah yes I think that was me some time ago in this thread. Something about dawg vs dog...

Arjan, owner of GHS and the popular greenhouse coffeeshop in Amsterdam... just a few steps away from Sensi seed shop... is one of the most hated guy in the industry. Shantibaba started GHS with him, Shantibaba left and started working with Mr Nice (and created SSH). The latter don't not create fem seed out of principle, while GHS only sells fem. It's like a comical soap opera with public slander back and forth, while they all started out with pretty much the same genetics. If one were to cross SSH with Bulldog's Lemon Skunk for example...

I've got these "neotropical" birds that showed-up 4 or 5 years ago,
moving north with climate change;
they nest (among other spots) underneath banana leaves...

...they are extremely shy and have taken all this time,
watching me interact with the other birds and creatures,
to expose themselves more than just peeking around tree trunks.

Two or three days ago I saw a plant shaking;
then another, and another, zig zagging through the garden;
my first thought was a crazed rabbit,
I went out to check for damage and a Hooded Oriole flew off--
no damage...

Diet:
"...May especially favor caterpillars, also eats beetles, wasps, ants, and many others..."

Over the last 10 days or so I've had hundreds of the big green beetles
(that I named the baby boy hummingbird after);
they eat a few plate leaves and then lay eggs in the garden,
I don't know if the larvae do any damage but I don't like 'em

https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/testimonials-for-caps-bennies.46603/page-8#post-1237579

Sulfur butterflies are the only Lepidopterids seen in the garden for 3 days,
the Cabbage Butterflies and Skippers <pics here>
https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/fighting-outdoor-caterpillars.74993/page-2
have disappeared--
no "worms" yet...

I observed both these orioles and Mexican streak-backed orioles up in La Habra Heights 10-15 years ago, and earlier, annually. Along with western tanagers, they're species that really catch the eye. They generally prefer to make their nests in palms and other plants with large overhanging leaves, and will visit hummingbird feeders as they also like nectar, IIRC. Lovely birds.

This is one of the amnesia white weirdo, one I didn't clone, looks to be male so will probably kill it soon:

The outline part is the axial, behind it the main stem. Almost as thick because the axial has two leaves below it instead of one.

Not entirely uncommon for males. The axial on the other side was just half an inch while the one on this side with the 2 fans was 3 inch tall already.

That axial, just topped itself in a very neat way. Neat because it wasn't fasciated before it split.
