I just made-up the "self pruning" thing,
'swhat it looked like to me;
I've never seen a twisting like that--
self <whatdoyoucallitwhenyoutie'emdownwithpipecleanersan'stuff>Heh...

^^^^^^is this one a sport?

Was it pruned/topped???
The top grew but at the secondnset of nodes it was like they out grew or over grew the top and the top just stunted and I went to touch it and it just fell off....usually none of these plants grow well for me but this time I threw them outside and they seem they will grow out their life , in the past they were all culled inside for lack of vigor

Whorled phyllotaxy,
and another, ah;
"self pruner" too--
what strain(s)???

In my most humble opinion nothing is concrete with this plant, with that being said I would say no but some might and that one is special

In my experience so far they do veg noticeable faster. See link in sig for examples and theory on the reason it vegs faster, on top of simply getting more nodes/bushier at the same time.

Every single one I have grown has stunted and culled indoor I'm getting better results growing them outdoor now I'll post more pics

Are yours outdoor?

Indoors, the P#1A and the IH#5 in my thread were whorled from the start. I also notice it clearly with tri-whorled clones.
I looked up the post, I see you 'liked' so you've seen it before but check out this post in my thread and note the dates:

First part in this post explains why the veg faster:

As they say, your miles may vary.

Can you direct me to a post describing your veg environment and medium etc approach taken I must be stressing in veg to not see them flourish

I can, I'll have to post it first though :) I'll grab some pics and add them to my thread. It's nothing special though, no medium, 54watt T8, small dwc box.

Posted pre-veg setup and method here:
https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/breeding-for-whorls.63887/page-3#post-1284529

Around the time they are no longer seedling and reached veg mode I move them to the tubes where they stay on 18/6 under hps for a week roughly.

Although I still have a few weeks to go, based on two strong whorled and two late whorls I can say that whorled doesn't necessarily mean more yield (which I didn't expect either). But at the same time, although still too soon too really tell, I think I could fill my closet with 4 tri-whorled instead of 6 regular and still get as many bud sites and similar yield with the same veggin period. So "vegging faster" isn't really accurate, it still needs to reach maturity and flowering period is certainly no less. But it does seem to create more plant in the same time.
