The only time I have white roots is in the clone blubber, once I put them in the uc or jumbo they all start to turn light sandy brown and darken up as they get older. I will be taking down some plants in the next 2 days and will post some pics of my roots. Now the guys who use H2o2 have white roots because it's bleach and it keeps the roots white, it eats the dead stuff on the roots and will turn your hair blond in a flash LOL. Maybe stop the Bennie's and change the res out and hit them with H2o2, just a thought...

I am interested in seeing your photos. I too have the same color roots always have great harvests, just not milky white like everyone i see.

Add in 2 ml/gal of Bob's brew with next res change and nutes. Then add 5ml/gal into top off res, haven't had a problem

Been running the brew for the last couple years, roots always pearly white. Don't use much as far as flower additives. Just GH 3 part, big bud, (bud blood first signs of flwr and overdrive last two weeks). Flush for 10 days using 5ml/gal of Bob's, brings out some crazy colors!

Just wondering what your mixing the GH 3 part at? I am using 6ml micro 2.5ml grow 10ml bloom and 15ml Diamond Nectar per gal of water for first week of bloom.

DS,

I respect your opinion but for those with slime sterile doesn't work ... I've ran RO with h202 and zone in conjunction with 62-64* water temps, it's the best so far but it still has slime and the size isn't what it should be.

It's like banging your head against the wall to absolutely kill it for a couple years, then move and chase your ass constantly saying 'There's something in the water.' At this point I'm pretty convinced I'm right, there IS something in the water and h202, zone, bleach, physan, SM20, water temps, circulation, 2x more airstones don't seem to do anything about it.

What do you do then? When sterile doesn't work ...

I tried running sterile too and the slime really took hold... I even upped the Zone and tried no Zone and just H2O2 and same thing happened and the slime came back and I had to use tea to get the slime to go away again...

After some individual testing, and discussion with my circle of friends we have decided this must be a fungus in the water. When I get tests back I will post my results. I will say that I agree with the above statement, I ran h2o2, zone, Ucroots, all with tap or 5stage r.o. All had the same results. Cloudy funky water... 3 diff nute profiles as well... All with chilled water too.

Have your water analyzed...... Some of our facilities require hospital grade water, others use tap. Just gotta know what your working with.

IF you have a bacterial or fungal issue you will need chlorination/DI.

Zone is a copper sulfate based root zone product. It may sterilize somewhat as Copper sulfate is also used in the medical field. However mainly it attempts to treat a copper deficiency, which is what Agronomy generally finds to be the culprit for Pythium in soil based crops.

so, Zone will never solve a slime issue IMO.

d.s, as you probably noticed I am having quite the problem with bacteria and the like. I was curious what you think of clorox ,6% hyper, industrial bleach from the depot or Low? And what usage would you advise? I have read several rates, and came to the conclusion roughly 5ml for 25 gallons? I squashed the zone and h2o2 since neither hasnt done much for me. Im gonna load pics of my rez tonight and you guys will get a laugh. Uv/r.o didnt even clear it up? how common is it or have you had experience with fungus or bacteria in the nutes?

I love bleach as a sterilizer. that being said its dangerous (to you and your plants) and I'm not going to touch advising you on it with a 10 foot pole.
