no idea, guess u would have to see how the plants respond. salting bacon tho? that's hectic. but considerin how little salt most land animals have in their diets compared with humans, i think it's safe to say we would have saltier piss than yer average animal. i've def noticed that if i piss in a single spot in the yard for a single stretch (let's say a couple of weeks) that the plants around the area begin to suffer leaf burn.

Chances are just as good that it's all that ammonia/urea being put undiluted in one spot, too, though. ;)

I've seen those, but they just don't seem to be quite as handy as a pee-nis. :D

yer most likely right, tho still reckon salt could be an issue if usin it on plants in pot. nothin a good flushin every now n then wouldn't fix tho.

Urine is one of the oldest fertilizers known to and used by humans. We're fine with using animal shit on our plants, but not our own? We're fine with flushing our own good nutrients down the toilet using potable water??

Folks who are turned off by using urine are missing out on a lot, including some facts like the fact that it is a COMPLETE fertilizer, especially if used in combination with wood ash. It's proven. Want the study?

I grew up watching my grandfather pee on all the citrus trees, then water it in well.

didnt mean to sound offensive. i just had never heard of this and was taken back by it. i do understand people going green and such but ive not been so friendly to mother earth. maybe i should look more into this. i read link above and i know humans have had tricks to survive through time. maybe one day when i flip to organic....

Seems like urine-as-fertilizer would go right along with--
the domestication of plants...

"The results of the first grain analysis reveal that both barley and wheat were farmed at the Karleby site. They also point to elevated levels of the Nitrogen-15 isotope.
Nitrogen-15 is used to trace mineral nitrogen compounds, particularly fertilizers, in the environment.
These elevated levels may indicate that fertilizers were used in the area of Karleby 5,000 years ago."

> both barley and wheat

They was makin' beer!!!--
an' producin' lotsa Nitrogen-15 isotope...

Bread and beer, the staff(s) of life, you KNOW that's what they were doing!

The article wasn't quite complete. I first read about this in Archaeology. The isotope they isolated, IIRC, demonstrated clearly that they were using animal manure to fertilize, something that was previously believed to not have occurred until perhaps the Medieval age. I'd have to find the issue I read it in.

Hehehe...

So should I "tickle my roots" while I'm stroking my buds?

I think this would be most effective while surfing the forums checking out budporn. Just my thoughts on the subject...

o_O

No offense to OP. Had to.

Then what do you make of the science behind thigmotropism and the article I posted earlier in this thread? I'll dig it up again for you. Repeatable experiments, as per the scientific method.

Kolah, I think that because I tend to be drinking tea or water all day long my urine is rather dilute, I've had to take it to 5:1 at times in order to keep Mary well fed. I bet if I were drinking beer or something similarly nutrient/calorie rich I wouldn't have to do that.

To return to the topic at hand....(lol)
Anyone who takes a microscope and looks at the underside of a cannabis leaf will immediately understand the delicate balance of air and moisture and the physiological microscopic parts of the leaf that try to maintain this balance.

A gentle brush of wind' a tying, bending of branch, rubbing of stalk is good, but destroying the delicate underside of a leaf by constant and repeated intentional pressure....not so good.
cheers
