Hello all,
Been visiting the community for awhile as a guest finally decided to join the family.Started germinating the outdoors grow seeds the other day tomorrow they'll be in soil. I will update threw out the entire grow.Hope you all enjoy.
These are non fem seeds(not a fan of fem seeds) that I will veg in the basement until go in the outdoor beds when time comes.I veg until each are big enough to clone then clone/sex/discard males.
Seeds are a big mix of Bodhi gear, loompa, exoticgenetix, and some are mine that I made last season from some awesome genetics I had crossed with a voodoo from exoticgenetix.
They are all mixed up and will not be labeled.why?Just a thing I do outdoor some years(I label every other strain project I do) to pay tribute to a old native American buddy of mine who was big into "soul growing" which amongst other things is picking plants from how they grow, look, smell, etc. (Other projects I do label everything and follow planned genetic lines. This is not one of those projects) The community is invited on the journey thank you guys and hope you enjoy.

Just got the 454 casull today am really excited about it so figured what the hell I'll include it in the pic if not a gun fan I offer my deepest apologies no disrespect intended we get bears an mountain lions out here. have never had to shoot one, pray I dont, but if being mauled to death would in a heart beat .Thanks will update pics soon.

Thanks bud! As my 1st guest brother at the end of the grow I will let you pick the cross you want and I'll send you 20 beans of it.Or even like 5 each of 4 kind we'll work it out lol
Haven't quite decided going to cross yet honestly but working with some pretty good genetics from the likes of bodhi, loompa, exoticgenetix,,dragboatjeffy, and real soon here I'll be grabbing some tierra rojos, bog, and probably raredankness gear to.
Have 25 acres of land to work with so will be doing multiple projects at once.plan to take it step by step all the way.
Very short outdoor season out here unfortunately so popping beans now so will have time to clone/sex/separate the men from the ladies label all the labeling project ones and veg everything out.
Shit load of work but it'll be a great summer! I'll be giving buildasoil a shot this year a local colorado company an see how they work out.I'll be adding mycorrhizae and another soil base to the mix (undecided as of now) to it to maximize the amount of buildasoil I get.Should be around 80-120 lb summer tho very excited.
Thanks again for saying hey bro and hope you tag along!

I would be most honored.
And I would post the logs online giving all credit where credit is due :).

From the many journals on here. Exotic, bodhi, loompa, bog all look great. You are bound to find some great keepers in there.

And wow 80-120lbs!!!
Only in my dreams.

I will buckle in for the ride.

Well in that case let's make it 40 beans lol thanks man an the honor will be mine.I follow dj short breeding tech on how to pic the right males/females usually it's pretty great results.I'll have to find that thread on here an post it.
Alot of breeders like to backcross the hell out of they're gear but I think it was chimera who said that in a way "stabilizing" is counter productive. (Of course has its benefits to)
The crosses this year are really just a prelude to the real project.Would cost a fortune to buy as many beans it'll take to find what is needed,so let's take the yeti for example:this year will cross the best fem/male and cross them. Then next year will run at least 300 of that cross to find a stud.
Meanwhile will be doing the same thing with let's say exoticgenetix voodoo that I've already crossed with Apalachian super skunk and one of these years will have more awesome creations on hand.
I've created a decent amount of strains so far but the journey is never over when your completly obsessed!
Pic is 1st cross I ever did triangle clone only female x bodhi dream beaver male

Wanted to ad in there but forgot that I'm no pro and don't think of myself as hot shit, just love growing and breeding.
The real credit goes to the kickass breeders who have brought the genetics I play with to market thus giving me and all of us the opportunity to have fun and enjoy what we do
.much respect to all growers.peace out till later homies :)

That is a great statement right there.
We who have such a passion for our hobbies do it more for the personal fulfillment & pride from the fruits of our labor.
The proudness that is felt to be contributing to the future.
Along with those who worked before us to lay the genetic groundwork.
It is these/you people that keep this beautiful plant around and evolving/adapting to our selective breeding.
Just to become better and better every year.

None of us are pro's yet & that is because no-one can keep on par with nature yet.
Nature is the true pro along with this plants will to survive over the many years it has wandered this earth.

@germinator hell yeah with the heavy grain loads she is a beast!I had a 454 super red hawk awhile back use to take elk with up to 250 yards never had to shoot twice.lol.The lighter loads like 200-300 grain loads though it's really not bad at all can shoot all day with no affect on wrist.I plink with 45 long colt in it very versatile gun;) Thanks an god bless america, you guys and brother BODHI LOL
@Bulldog11 Thanks brother if this run turns out half as good as your last grow I'd be really proud man you kicked ass ,very nice bulldog! !
The cross was really good I got lucky:) After crossing I grew out around 80 of the beans and all the females were great.Picked 5 out let my patients pick they're favorite and with that Grandma Betty was born:)
Named after my grandmother who was a activist and a sweetheart who passed literally harvest day on the 1st bigger run of that cross.
The true props on that one goto Bodhi for his dream beaver daddy and the person who gifted me the triangle clone only.I simply introduced the pair and they fell in love, had sex,and I'm raising they're kids lol.
Thank you guys its very exciting and humbling to get nice responses from kickass growers like yall ima work hard to make yall proud!!:)

Seems to be a lot of Agent Orange hyrbids going around, I'd try to snag one of those or that itself. That would be a good addition. Danky dank for sure. You've got good taste seems like

Lets talk soil. What you got your seeds poppin' in? Full season pots?
Do to time/or lack there of cutting corners this year. lol.The soil I had been using 2 seasons in a row in the raised beds went to my elderly neighbors garden.Poor babies are getting up there in age so I help as much as I can.
I've been hearing alot about buildasoil so finally let my buddy talk me into giving it a shot.Needs a little amending but like to start a little light on unknown soils/seeds but other than that all is good thus far. (Could be better could be worse)
Base soil: 2cu ft sphagnum moss
1cu ft lava rock
1cuft charged biochar
1cuft rice hauls
2cuft humus composed of 1/3 compost olly mountain.5 cups comfrey 5 cups nettle 5 cups dandelion

Amendments: (per cu ft base soil)
1/2 cup organic need meal
1/2 cup organic kelp meal
1/2 cup crustacean meal
1/2 cup organic insect frass
1/3 cup gro-Kashi
1/3 cup Karanja meal
1/4 cup fish meal bone

Rock/Mineral mix:
2 part oyster she'll mix
2 part gypsum
1 part glacial rock dust
1 part basalt
1 part calcium bentonite
Seem pretty ligit (although with all the great growers in here I'm sure could be better)
When get the mix on the farm I have a compost/soil mixer I plan to ad at least a 25 lb bag of Mycorrhizae to the mix then fill the beds and mulch pretty heavy.
The innoculant I use has 132 organisms per gram (or so they claim) but worked for the last 2 seasons so I'll give it a whirl again.
Did this same size grow the last 4 years.1st year was a learning experience to say the least!! Ever been in a freak hail storm that leaves 5 inches of baseball sized chunks of ice far as the eye can see? I hadn't lol
Learned from it though and 2nd year did around 70 lb last year upped it by around 25.This year is actually more relaxed and that quantity would be great but it's not as dier:)
Everthing can be tweaked that's what I like but then again dislike about growing.People get into crazy arguments about what they would do differently and that cool because if it works for them it works so they are right but also if the other persons methods work in a wierd way they are both right.right?this is getting long winded but a quick example:
Earlier on bag seed thread a guy told the poster that his paper towel seed germinating style was unnecessary, and if you put in soil it would work....In a way he was 100% right but he was also wrong lol.(the ol more than one way to skin a cat saying)
I replied that yes sir you are right and can do that and it definitely works buuuuuutttt #1 the soil drys way faster in the first couple inches and some folk who aren't careful lose beans that way.
#2 older beans often take more tlc than fresher ones.when beans don't crack I often do it ol school an very gently "pop" them myself and often they will then sprout they're tail.if they're in soil then can't do that.
#3 some like to let the sprouted seed get a decent size in the towel that way when planted the root is buried deeper than would be usually imedatly and usually the first day is popping out of soil.
My point is brothers there's a difference between giving advice and acting like one certain way (they're way) is better.Specially if both ways work.Like if one person uses his pinky to flip a light switch on and the other guy uses his middle finger lol
Who flipped the light on better? Sorry I'm rambling just don't want anyone new to turn this friendly thing into a pissing match.lol usually I avoid that by not answering questions on exact ratios or techniques and just hit them with pictures of monster plants and pot porn lol
Later yall thanks for the support and hope to make yall proud

Perfect example of slot I stated above was what a few people did to bulldog11 thread...what a shame!!
He clearly an unilaterally kicked ass with that grow an the pics is all that a non hater would need as proof of that. And while some may have did this or that different is a moot point because he kicked ass!
@Bulldog11 despite people not liking u or whatever the reasons for the hatery trolley shit that went on you seriously proved your grow skills to anyone worth impressing brother was a badass job an can be done as good but not better so it sux that your thread was ruined man.I'll expect to be shited on but hope I wont.
If people start trolling I'll stop responding but post pics all the way step by step until I'm sitting on a mountain of buds then post one last one sitting on a pile of cash:)
Stay positive dudes and remember that advice NOT ASKED FOR IS NOT ADVICE AT ALL.ITS YOUR INFERIORORITY COMPLEX REARING IT'S UGLY HEAD. Lol
