Got the straw in the pots today, for that mulch layer. Looks like I added one to many tablespoons of the dry amendments, plants are getting to dark for my liking so no feed rest of the way till we flip. I have a feeling the Haze will overtake the Kush these next two weeks. We vacuumed the mess on the floor there, everything is tidy and clean now.

I'm trying out a diffrent watering this part of the grow and it seems to be working out. I got it from a friend (I call him a friend because he told me I reminded him of his best friend from high school.. bromance? lol), well known in the community, big name. He was cool enough to chat with me for a whole hour a few months back, I didn't even know who I was talking to, the guy was so chill, anyways.. the watering practice I'm doing now is just half the pot at a time. Last two days I've done that and the ladies are responding really good. The idea is that these plants need lots of oxygen in the root area as much as they need water. So by doing half the pot at a time they are getting both equally.

And the fungas gnats came back..lol.. man they have a nose for good weed I guess. My area is full of these guys, live nearby agriculture fields. Lucky this desert heat kills most of them. I'm confident it won't get out of control, just the same the ugly sticky traps are back up. We'll remove them for the photos :)

And I had to stuff my Morento humidifier back in the tent. It's been my favorite humidifier I've used so far. It's jam packed in the tent now, have to figure out a way to use one of them reptile foggers instead but I read so much negative reviews on them. Anybody here use reptile foggers for their tents? I just hate to waste a good humidifier. All the ones I've used before end up getting algae growth inside and I end up tossing them after that. (Going away on a weekend trip soon and the humidifier will be empty by the time I get back, so keeping it in the tent will last way longer).

She's getting a little wild, We've already clipped some broad leaves and topped. tempted to chop some more but we'll let her recover a bit. I might have to grab a new bottle of that BTI. Putting it in the fridge might have done something to the formula. The fungus gnats seemed to be unfazed by the stuff.

We cleaned out the tent again, what a mess it was. All good now, might end up scrogging her today, Don't like too but because of the height differences we might have too. (kinda wishing I just grew out the one haze plant now)

Cringe... I put the trellis up, still new to this but feel it's needed at this point. Since I added the mulch layer of straw top of the soil , it has been retaining it's moisture, I'm only watering at 4 day intervals at the moment.

And we have FLIPPED! If these guys stretch half their size, and we know they will, it's gonna be a tight fit. Already planning (in my head) for the next grow in this tent or possibly in the new 4x4 that's packed away, I really want to taste this Amnesia Haze, and have some Durban Poison burning a hole in my pots, do both? Anyways.. on this current grow,

We bumped up the PPFD to about 700 for the 12/12 cycle. That's at 80% of my lighting. I had to raise them a bit more and it's worked out, really surprised I could get that at about 20-24 inches and the tent is still hovering at the 80 degree mark at peak. We're trying a 6:30 am - 6:30 pm schedule. The lights out humidity has been going way up, I'm glad I remembered to check on that, hitting 75% , we just programmed the Infinity to keep it near 60% during the lights out cycle. As soon as the stretch period ends we will drop that to as close of a 150 vpd we can get during the lights out.

Trying something different, saw these mosquito traps and gonna give them a spin. See if they're any good for fungus gnats.

I set the lighting to 100% ..We are ready for the stretch, next two weeks, and it's coming, these guys are growing almost an inch a day. Lets hope it slows down!

So far PPFD at tallest (OG Kush) is at 900 (sweet) Me like.

At the lower canopy (Silver Haze) we are at 700 PPFD 😁

I'm 98% sure the Silver will grow some more.

Speaking of Jack Herer, I found a gem of a documentary on Netflix last night. Grass Is Greener. To be honest I was a little skeptical on it's foundation but that quickly went away when I realized it was based off Jack Herer's book, The Emperor Wears No Clothes.

Fungus gnats:
Use a BTI product like granular mosquito bites and increase air flow in the soil. Install some yellow stick traps as you already did too. They will be gone in 15-21 days.
When you presoak you media next time before transplant use the granular stuff right off the bat and they will not get a chance to annoy you anymore.

happens every grow so far ..I try to bend a few branches and.....pop! This one had potential written all over it too... duct tape! 😇
