Thanks brother. You’ve helped me through this grow and didn’t even know it. Digging through posts and damn near every question I’ve searched for you were there walking them through it. Appreciate it bro!
Hahaha awesome man... Also a fellow aquarist. Many years propigating fish and aquatic plants.

Growing is a beautiful thing
Buds are super dense and sticky and you can see the oils In them.

Also loving the aroma of fresh cannabis and I’m told it’s only going to get more pungent.

Day 68 - Flip
Day 64 - Flower
This strain has a 10-11 week flowering time and beginning the 10th week I’m seeing 85-90% of trichomes are cloudy, 5-6% are clear and under 5% ambers.
Lens was kinda stick, excuse the pics

I’ll begin flushing within the next 4-5 days which should land me harvesting around the start of the 11th week with a few more amber trichomes.

Wow! Those purples!

Are you going to trim at the end while it’s still alive? Iread some people have tried that

Loving the colors also bro. From my understandings and how I’ve been getting the colors out is by night dropping ambient temps. I took the system temp down to 62F this morning and will continue dropping 1F each day until chop, hoping to stress them into more tric production.

Hadn’t heard of it. I won’t trim alive, I’ll trim dry AFTER I wash them. I was already sold on the dry trim, from what I read it dries better than wet then I ran across @doc Buds bud washing method and that pretty much stopped me from reading any other methods.

When I’m looking through the loupe, trich’s aren’t the only things I see. I see the hair, the small pieces of wood from drilling or cutting, dust & no telling what else lol and I keep my room “clean clean”
Are you going to try trimming alive?

Great I’m just wondering what bud washing is, I’m going to check that out now..

Edit: just learned about bud washing and now thinking back to how much dust and sand was in my outdoor buds last summer that i smoked

Week 10 day 6
10-11 week strain
Well, it’s time. The vast majority of trich’s are cloudy and more and more are ambering so, let the flushing begin.

Well, I made it! No longer looking for Amber tric’s they’re making their presence known from top to bottom of each plant. Nice blend of cloudy & amber, I’d say 80/20. I left the HPS off to get a better view, so I’ll just leave it off and chop tomorrow just before lights would be scheduled to come on.
Great feeling making it through my 1st grow. Now on to the most important stage in my eyes, drying & curing. I see that this stage can pretty much make you or break you if not done properly. I’ll chop, wash and then hang , gotta get that wash in. Will update the washing process tomorrow.

Ok so now that the smoke has cleared from ‘this 1st harvest I can finish this journal out.
Here are a few pics of them drying. I dried at 68F 65%RH for 10 days (would’ve dried less if I knew what I knew now). Al branches won’t “snap” when they’re dry.

After trimming I jarred and burped twice per day for the 1st week and once per day the second week.
1A8D3031 3B7D 4836 9B7B 153D18785511

When I initially jarred the humidity was 54-58% between the jars. They were a little dryer than I liked so I ordered boveda 62’s 2 way and placed in each jar.

After 14 days of jars I moved the bud to the cure bags. Grove Bags

E9460970 6B3E 467A A32E C37591BEFE36

Once in the bags a few days the humidity was stable at 62% and could feel the moisture retuned to the buds. The smell was also getting stronger.
