Hey Cap. I was wondering if the tea recipe from the website can be cut in half (i.e. 2 gallons of water in a 3 gallon bucket)? Also, is a 80 L/min pump really necessary to aerate the tea or can I use a weaker pump?

I think it should be 100 ml of molasses if I'm not mistaken. Also you can mix the nute directly into the soil. That's how iv been rocking it. Use 1/4 tsp per gallon size pot.

This will work fine, but I would say to use the nute pack separate from the tea, unless you plan on using the tea full concentrate. Also, a little more molasses wouldn't hurt. I use 20 mL /gallon.

I've done CO2 belows for years. But recently I turned the CO2 concentration way up to fight bugs. I experimented with gas mixtures... I killed all the bugs and damaged the plants during some of these recent experiments. Now this may sound crazy but I dont use a CO2 ppm meter,. Ive done this so much I THINK i know what I'm doing (stupid) and the main reason I dont use PPM meter is I dont have one .

My bio life Appears to not be effected that much by the hi concentration of CO2,,, but that is subjective and assumptive based on the health and pest resistance the plants maintained after the CO2 tent baths from observation, not scientific measure. I havent scope that deep (magnification) for awhile to measure and observed .
DANGER WITH THIS EXPERIMENT - Dont stick your head into a CO2 bag to get a plant! It can knock you out or dizzy quicker than you think and its not a good idea to stick your head in plasic bags anyway,,, read the child restrictions - its a gas chamber for humans and a breathing lung for plants,
ALSO, you;ll hurt or kill plants if you dont know what you doing. A plant can take 100% CO2 for short periods but it doesnt like 100% CO2. its a fine line dependent on strain tolerance also.
pic 1 is small plant CO2 tents
pic 2 - place plants under outlet of tents
pic 3 - big plant CO2 tents

whats the point;
hi humidity and atmosphere control- run grow rooms cold so bugs dont thrive in the grow room. tents in the 70`s and room in hi 50' - low 60`
conserve CO2
control bugs
increase growth

This is info for anyone that is interested in a controller.
I almost killed myself twice with CO2. Yeah stupid.

I found a great company that sells a few different types of CO2 monitors. When I bought they were way cheaper than hydro stores, online and intown. I have two of their models, one I had for about 4 years and it is still is perfectly calibrated. This place sells calibration kits also, or you can just calibrate to fresh air.

The first one I got was one that you can hook up to a computer and just dial it in by plugging your CO2 unit into a interval timer, you know the one has a control for on and off times with values from minutes up to hours....I think most people use this for drip irrigation. Anyway, it worked/works great for dialing in your CO2 and you just let it alone unless you change something.

They have another greenhouse model that you just plug your CO2 unit into and it is preprogrammed to come on and off at 1200 ppm and 1500ppm. If I am not mistaken you can ask them to program it for different levels before you order and they will. Here is the link to that one. There are also higher priced monitors that include humidity, have alarms, you would have to browse around a bit to find them. This site is like a Home Depot of CO2 and other environmental monitors/controllers.
http://www.co2meter.com/collections/oem-platforms/products/co2-level-controller

You can browse the site and find other options. Here is the main link. http://www.co2meter.com/
In the section for portable meters there is one for $99.00. This one could be used like I did with mine but not have to hook up to a computer. Again you would just plug your CO2 unit into an interval timer like I mentioned above. Plus there are so many different models to choose from you might want to browse the site anyway. If your interested in knowing exactly what your CO2 level is.

Here is a link to the one I originally bought that hooks up to the computer, it has software that goes with it and you can use it to keep logs of grows to compare results at lower or higher CO2 concentrations.

Absolutely. I caught it early enough and I sprayed the fuck out of them. Every 3-4 days until harvest.

Hey guys. So making my second tea ever. Stoked. Just mixed up a fresh Rez. I guess I should mention I'm in recirculating pure coco for this run. So ill hand water in tomorrow. Should I let it flow into the Rez or should I pull the hose out and not let it go into the Rez?? I got no idea. How long is it good for if I do let it drain into the Rez. Thanks a lot.

Stoked just got my order I placed the day before the price increase in today

If you are using a recir res put 1-2 cups of tea per 5 gallons one day after your res change. Put in a small recirc pump to keep the water moving and change the res every week.

Is this top drip?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's top drip. So like I said it's only my second tea. Here's what I did. I put about 4-5 gallons in one of 6 gallon black buckets. Put two cups of earthworms and ancient forest in a strainer bag. 100ml of molasses some catalyst the local hydro said to use. Two table spoons of folier and the Nute pack and bubbled for 24 hours. Add two table spoons of root pack and bubble for 10 min. I then poured that into about 18 gallons or so of water and fed with a pump. It's a couple trays so this time since I did not know I pulled the flex hose and let the runoff drain onto the concrete floor.

But it sounds like it's ok to let it drain into the Rez. Plus I have a filter bag on the end of the drain hose to catch shit that clogs lines. This Rez 50 gallons only last about 3-4 days then the water is gone but so low profile I'm using it. Plus I like keeping fresh nutes. I really think I see a difference.

Also for spraying the tea ( I use a one gallon pump sprayer) should I use pure tea or a gallon of the tea once I mix 4-5 gallon with 18 ish gallons or some other formula. Am I using enough bennies for the mix I'm making.

Thanks

Ps does anyone know the link to Waayne teas. I can't find it

The root pack should have brewed more than 10 minutes, next time put that and the foliar pack in first. the nute pack does not need to be brewed really. It should be applied on it's own. For spraying you can use 50/50 tea/water or straight tea is fine as well.

there are a few different tea dilutions:

1) 1-2 cups tea per 5 gallons water: for ez cloners/ recirc systems.
2) 1 part tea to 10 part water: for DTW.
3) full concentrate: for general spraying and or infestations.

In the end it only matters what works for you, but these are good guidelines to get started.

That's a long time. Most tea people I talk to say best to use at 24 hours or less, but at 72 hours aerated it will still be ok as long as it doesn't smell anaerobic.
